The Radio Shack is inside the Tru Value Hardware Store. There was something I needed that was on…read moresale at the Radio Shack and they dId not have what I was looking for but I got an earful from the Owner about how he couldn't make any money at Radio Shack  sale prices. I bought some hardware for a project and had one 3 dollar item to return. Since it had been 31 days since I bought it and was one day late they would not allow me to return it. Another time I came in for some weedkiller and wanted to purchase it for the advertised price on the Tru Value Web site and he would not honor that advertised price. Well in my book it's 3 strikes and you are out. I will never ever purchase anything here again unless they have the only one out there. The other hardware stores in Estes Park have never pulled theis kind of stuff on me. They honor advertised prices.  These people see the consumers here as tourists. They don't care what you think because you will be gone in a few days.  The tourists make this great town what it is and it is sad that this guy doesn't know who signs his paycheck during the off season months

Didn't even know Radio Shacks still existed but they do here. Store was clean and well stocked. No need to travel outside of Estes Park. If it isn't at the grocery store it's here.

Love Menards and their deals…read more Christiana at the front desk (blonde/middle aged woman) had a foul attitude and found humor in the loss of thousands of dollars of plant life in the woefully neglected garden center. No intention of speaking with management. Joked about them being over watered. Cold snaps, whichever way they put it- the garden center is abysmal. It's beyond depressing. Other shoppers spent more time remarking on the death counts of plants instead of shopping for them. Crispy ferns. Dead monstera. Fruit trees dead in their planters and wilting. Corporate needs to know that they are bleeding money by not taking care of their products, and it's a shame because the selection would be nice if they would just... water them. Not laugh and tug themselves around when they could just simply hook up the hoses and give 10% effort. Idk if they are short staffed or what, but even the garden center manager is "aware" of the issues and each time we've gone in (3-4 times this month and a half for home projects) the situation is getting worse and worse. They just let the trucks dump the plants off and leave them to die. Why take care of something and give customers something of value when they could just hope someone can save one off the truck before it winds up at the morgue for plants. Look at the photos. Tells you a lot. And again- talked to staff. They even find it funny. They don't care. Just- tremendous waste of life. Both with speaking with the care desk and with how they handle plant life.

We were in desperate need of a propane tank for our 5th Wheel as one of them would not open or…read moreclose. And the cashier Barbara was rather snippy. She said put that up here and suggested that we turn it around so that she could use her little scanner gun to price our tank. When I asked her about the rebate that came with it, she said oh those are over there at the counter and you have to mail that in, but you do have a year to do it. When I asked her where we could fill the tank with propane, she said oh we don't do that and they don't do it anywhere in Cheyenne. We thought that was a little off. So we asked her again and she said oh you have to go 45 miles south to Fort Collins. So we thought well that's where we're staying is in Fort Collins so we figured that was OK. So when we got out to the truck, we googled it and you can fill it at several places in Cheyenne as you can anywhere else. So Menards does tell their employees that you can't fill new tanks within a 45 mile range of their store. And when you look it up, it's because they want you to exchange it in their outside exchange bin where they make more money. So little Barbara lied to us telling us that we had to go to Fort Collins when we could've just gotten it filled in Cheyenne before every place closed in Fort Collins by the time we got there. That is the reason we gave Menards a 1 rating. I've never really like Menards to start with when we visited areas that have them and probably never go back there. We'll do the extra travel to Home Depot or Ace Hardware in the future when traveling. By the way, Cheyenne and Wyoming have no such law stating you cannot fill empty tanks or refill tanks. Individual stores can refuse for any reason that it's unsafe to fill the tank because of damage or the tank is old. But there's no loss saying that they cannot fill tanks in the state or city or anywhere else in Wyoming.
