Horrible and irresponsible company. Rental was extremely filthy. Seems as they do not clean these units after every guest. poor sanitation. Dog hair on stove. Borken Fridge. Human hairs in bathroom. Stained dirty bed covers and sheets. Dog pee stains on curtains. Black arm rests of living room furniture. Broken grill. Lime stained dirty front porch furniture. We have stayed with Panhandle Getaways for two consecutive summers. We drive to 30A from Atlanta. The directions they give us are always very clear, and the check in and check out procedures are no problem. We are frequent vacationers, and we find that the quality of the accomodations that Panhandle offers, the cleanliness, and the maintenance are first class. I believe the property we stay at is called the Prominence, and we have stayed at two of the Panhandle properties in that development. It is right across from a high end market place, a few miles from a Publix, and the beach is not far either. The kitchens are beautiful - full refrigerators, natural gas ranges, full washer and dryer, and full streaming video with widescreen TVs in the LR and the MBR. A full dining room table as well. My wife and I always need to do some work on vacations, and the WiFi is perfect. You're within a few miles of great restaurants as well. I am writing this review because I am about to book our next 30A vacation to Rosemary Beach, and I just don't want the uncertainty of going with other management companies. We stayed in the pelican beach resort in Destin, Fl. The room was amazing. Everything was updated. Nice flatscreen tv. Very comfortable beds. Not to mention the best views. Beaches were stunning with white sand. Would recommend this to anyone traveling to the beach this year! read more

We stayed at Moondrifter 801 during Spring Break. The condo was very comfortable and well appointed. The ocean view patio was incredible and ran the expanse of the entire condo. What a great place to have your morning coffee! We will definitely be back and plan a longer stay next time! read more

Only reason Pandhandle Getaways gets 1 star is because 0 isn't an option. I made my reservation last week at Prominence on 30A (Paridisio) for Spring Break. I booked, paid, received my confirmation--all done through AirBnB. Today, I received an email stating that there was a mistake in the price of the cleaning fee and I had to accept or decline a new rate of $350. After I declined, I received another email stating that I had to accept a new price of $500 more or cancel my reservation. The cost of my 3 day trip was being changed from $1184 to $1687!!!! Come on...since when does a cleaning fee even come close to $350 or $500 for a 3 night stay? This was most definitely a bait and switch and I can't urge you enough to beware of this company, especially if booking through AirBnb. I spoke with 2 very unhelpful associates when calling Panhandle Getaways. The first was Joe and the second was Robin. Neither could answer my questions, promised call backs that never happened, and then my reservation was mysteriously cancelled. To make matters worse, AirBnB was absolutely no help at all. They didn't stand by their own Terms which clearly state that they host cannot change their prices after entering into the rental agreement. Apparently, the host can change prices because of a "glitch" in their system. I have never done a review on a company so this should be some indication as to how unprofessional and unpleasant this experience has been. read more

We arrived at our condo at 3:45 with a 4:00 check in and the "manager" pretty much scolded is for being early. We had to call the Panhandle Getaways office at least 8 times in a 24 hr period to obtain our hotel bracelets and parking passes. The last phone call resumed in the office giving me a code to get into someone else's' room and getting their packages. When booking, we did it realize we were going through a 3rd party. On July 17, 2016, my family and I began travelling to Panama City Beach, FL after booking a condo with Panhandle Getaways on April 4, 2016, which on that date, Panhandle Getaways contacted me and advised me that we could only check in on two certain days, we had originally wanted to arrive on July 16th so I agreed and they changed the date. At 3:30pm CST on July 17th, Panhandle Getaways contacted me via telephone and asked me when we planned to arrive as the condo (Sterling Beach 501) had yet to be cleaned. I advised the lady that reached out to me that we'd probably arrive in about an hour and she said that would be fine, she expected it to be clean by then. We understood in our agreement that the condo would be cleaned by 4pm CST, however during busy times it could be as late as 6pm CST so we understood. My family and I went ahead and did some shopping to pass some extra time so we knew the condo would be clean upon our arrival instead of going straight to the condo. We spent a lot of time in Walmart and finally arrived at the condo at around 6pm CST. Upon our arrival, we quickly noticed that the condo was still dirty and nobody had come by to even begin cleaning. I called Panhandle Getaways at 6:10pm CST and advised them that our condo had still not been cleaned. At this time, they offered to refund the cleaning fee which I believe they said on the phone call was around $190, however upon looking through my receipts, a cleaning fee is not clearly labeled, however I do see a fee of $239 for "total other charges". I advised the lady on the phone that this was unacceptable and we should at least be refunded for half of our first night's stay as this was impacting our family vacation. The lady advised me that she would have to get further approval from a manager and contact me back the next day regarding the additional credit. She advised that the cleaners were on their way. I advised her that it would be completely unacceptable for anyone to still be cleaning in our condo after 8pm CST. Keep in mind that we had to pay for this day/night and our rate was $550 per night. At 6:55pm CST, the cleaners had yet to arrive so I placed another call to PHG and was the lady advised me to hold while she checked on it. She came back on the line and advised me that the cleaners were on site and would be up in a moment to start. I asked to speak to a manager about my issues and was advised that I'd have to wait 48 hours after the incident occurred to request to speak to a manager. At around 7:05pm CST, the cleaners arrived and began to clean the unit (there were 3 people total). The cleaners were outsourced and not directly employed by PHG from my understanding, and they were extremely friendly. However, during their cleaning they did point out some issues to us. Several lights were blown in the condo. The fold out sleeper bed in the living room had mold all over the mattress. The twist to activate knob for the hot tub in one of the master bathrooms was missing (making it impossible to use the hot tub), the bunk beds weren't tightened securely and shook and made noise and the high top bar chairs were very unstable. At 7:24pm CST, I called PHG and received an automated system instead of a human and left a message detailing the maintenance issues described above. At around 9pm CST, a maintenance person arrived and replaced some of the light bulbs but didn't have enough to replace them all. The maintenance person put two screws in one of the high top chairs instead of tightening all of them, which really did not fix them. We were advised by the maintenance person that he couldn't do anything about the bunk beds and he'd have to tell PHG about the mattress to get it resolved and that he would be back the next day to replace the rest of the light bulbs and the knob for the hot tub. At around 9:30pm-9:45pm CST, the cleaners were finally done cleaning, after waiting on PHG to bring them a vacuum cleaner. While the cleaners were friendly and did a great job for the most part, they did not mop the floors throughout the condo which resulted in us having to wear shoes most of the time because our feet kept getting black and there was no broom or mop available in the condo. The maintenance person never returned to finish any of the repairs or replace the mattress. During the week we never received a phone call back. Overall, this was a nice property but the management of the property is very poor. I would likely return to the Sterling Beach resort, however I would not book a condo through Panhandle Getaways. PHG has also failed to contact me still to this date about the first night refund or how to disperse the credit for the cleaning fee. read more

AWFUL. We booked a condo through Hotels.com for July 4-8 and received a confirmation email. The email provided a number to call to obtain the keys for our stay. We drove down to 30A and were about an hour out when we called the phone number provided to us. Panhandle Getaways answered and come to find out our condo had been double booked. We did not receive a cancellation email, phone call, voicemail - NOTHING!!! The lady on the phone didn't seem to care either and didn't offer to try to help us find something else, even locally. I will never, ever use this company or refer them to anyone. read more

We stayed at the Shores of Panama in Panama City Beach. The Condo was nice. The views were amazing of the Gulf, the pool was incredible, and the beach was perfect! The decor was beachy, but simple. There could have been at least a lamp in the living room for the evening hours instead of using the bright overhead lights, otherwise it was a great condo! Our only issue, was that upon check in, we had to pay an additional $122 in "amenities fees" just to have access to the pool, and use the gate to get to and from the beach. It would have been nice if the hotel would have let us know at the time of booking, that access to the pool was not included in our stay, unless we paid extra for it! ONLY disappointing point of the trip! We will know for the next time. We will book this place again!! read more

My family and I have vacationed in many different condos managed by Panhandle Getaways over the years and each time has been an incredible memorable experience. PG has always provided us with excellent customer service and has always provided clean and beautiful accommodations.
