This panini spot is right on my route to work, and every day I walk past it smelling AMAZING. On my brother's birthday, I decided to surprise him with lunch since he stops by here pretty often. I ordered his food online--and once I saw the menu, I had to get something for myself too. I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch panini and customized it a bit: ranch mayo and Dijon mustard on the side, added spinach and banana peppers, American cheese, and skipped the tomatoes. The sandwich was delicious and made with REAL chicken--none of that fake, rubbery stuff some places use. It was flavorful, fresh, and honestly gave me all the nostalgic feels because I haven't had a panini since college. I also grabbed a bag of jalapeño chips. For my brother, I ordered the Tomato Bisque soup and the Cordon Bleu sandwich, plus a Peach Lipton Tea. They offer fountain drinks and bottled drinks in the cooler, which is super convenient. There's plenty of seating inside, and it's definitely the kind of place you could sit and work if you work from home or just want a cozy lunch spot. I didn't get any pictures--my intention was to, but the way I dived into that panini, I forgot until I was down to the last crumb . A great place I just happened to stumble into. Looks like it is run by the owner who really knows what he's doing. Came in for a quick breakfast bite and was shocked by how good it was. Made it a point to go out of my way to come back for dinner. The bang bang shrimp was phenomenal. Cannot wait to be back in the area to get back here. read more

I've been here a few times to check the place out. Usually breakfast or lunch to go while I'm driving around. I could see coming here if you worked downtown, especially if you're dining in on your lunch or something. As far as the actual quality of the food, it's about average compared to what you'd get anywhere else or make yourself. I think the breakfast paninis might be one of the best ways to go here. Their breakfast is a lot more competitive with the other stuff you'll find nearby. Two meats, egg and cheese is a pretty good deal for $4.99. I'd recommend against the Reuben panini, unless you must have a Reuben and it must be from here. No issues with the taste or ingredients, just not a lot going on with it. I'm not trying to be mean, but I keep this picture of their Reuben handy on my phone as an example of the most disappointing Reuben I've ever ordered. The Chicken Pesto panini was recommended to me, so I tried that one on a different visit. No complaints again on the ingredients or taste, just another successful sandwich with little more to go into. The onion rings were notably delicious though. Their sides and coffee drinks are also about average. When you order a side of pasta salad, they put it in a 1 oz dipping cup. So I guess I have nothing directly bad to say about the place. I'd come back for anything I've had, or would try just about anything on their menu with faith that it would make an adequate lunch. Happened upon Panini's while searching for light lunch place not far from work (for easy pickup), and reasonable prices. Safe to say we will be ordering from here again. The cajun chicken salad was a nice fresh blend of greens, spinach and romaine, several grape tomatoes, cajun chicken with enough spice to be flavorful and not overtake the salad itself, a good amount of crispy bacon, thick shreds of pepper jack cheese, and ranch dressing to bring it all together. A tasty chunk of Italian bread came with the salad. The sandwiches come with option of pasta salad or chips, which is both unusual and appreciated. I did not taste the sandwiches, a Reuben with fries, an Italian panini, and an egg and olive, (both with pasta salad), but everyone wants to order again. Staff was very nice, place is very clean, good variety on the menu, and they are open for breakfast. That too may have to happen. They also have great soup, salads, and much more. You can get a breakfast sandwich on their focaccia bread as well along with other breakfast items. While I am not downtown often during lunch hours, when I do find myself there, Panini's is often enough at the top of a short list of places to grab a bite. Each day Panini's has a soup choice and generally some sort of special. Their website will list these as well which is nice if you are looking for something in particular (i.e. Clam chowder). They have an impressive list of panini choices but you can also get one made to order if you can't find something that matches your tastebuds. Prices are on the upper end of places to grab a sandwich lunch, generally 8-10 bucks. Sandwiches come with Terrells potato chips (a Syracuse specialty) and it's nice to see local business supporting other locals. Parking as always can be a chore in this area, but can be found (metered). read more

Phenomenal menu! They had so many delicious sandwiches to choose from, I couldnt decide and went with the soup & salad lunch combo! There is a mozzarella and tomato panini with baby spinach, sweet roasted peepers & pesto mayo I must return for!!! Plenty of great options for carnivores and veggies. I noticed a wine bar, so it would be a great spot to stop for a nice lunch and/or dinner with some vino! They deliver within Syracuse too or you can call your order in advance to avoid waiting (everything is made to order, so there was a little bit of a wait, even for to go). Extremely unprofessional. Long story short, I ordered something on ubereats and they gave my order to the wrong person (the delivery driver had been replaced but they were too incompetent to go look and passed it off to the guy who'd been initially assigned my order). So, the manager calls me and started to act like I was lying about never receiving my order. Then the owner hangs up on me after I tell him it's his fault for not knowing what's going on in his own restaurant. Mind you, I'm an amazing customer. I spend $30-35 a pop on this food and order lunch from them often. But all of a sudden I'm in cahoots with ubereats to steal food? The owner is delusional. He tried to play me like an angry black woman after I pulled up to the restaurant after he hung up. All I wanted was for them to cancel my order because when the restaurant cancels the order, there's no waiting on your money or customer service to deal with. I had to go to the restaurant in person to get the order cancelled. And the manager yelled and treated me like I'm "rude" when I never once raised my voice or called anyone a name. Yet he's screaming at me to leave the store, making a scene for no reason and being extra. Had his employees trying to argue with me. One girl was there threatening me talking about some "I get off at 2:00" as if she thinks I'm sticking around until 2:00 to fight over a sandwich. Smh....0/10, extremely unprofessional and entitled management. You're not entitled to my money! If I say cancel an order, that's what you do! Don't remake, CANCEL. Period! The food is tasty and fresh. The menu is creative. My only criticism is their coffee, either drip or espresso is tasteless. The big issue here is the service. The staff is surly, if you get them on a good day. If you get them on a bad day, your experience can be painful. They're not interested in helping anyone I've seen. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them every time I place an order. Even though I walk by this restaurant everyday I go to work, I don't stop unless this is my only option because of the energy drain caused by the staff. read more

The food here is excellent, but the service is crazy slow. I waited in line for almost 30 minutes today with only 5 people ahead of me. This is a little problematic as my lunch break is only 30 minutes. Many people behind me in line gave up and left. I hope this improves because the food is great and I like walking here and I don't want them to go out of business. read more

Having moved away from Syracuse, haven't been able to frequent. Our office decided for a change of pace for a farewell luncheon and Panini's was still as good as it gets. Very large portions and low prices, quick turnaround speaks for itself. Clean premises and personable staff make a huge difference. A must visit when in Syracuse! read more

Only go if you have 30 minutes to sit around and wait for your food. They never have enough help and have now added Uber Eats, so you're waiting for those who are in the restaurant and those orders coming through that service.
