    Western omelette w/ rye toast

    OK, this isn't your typical 5-star restaurant; very outdated and an oh-so-not-fancy dining experience. But, in an area where there are very few decent breakfast places, Carl's shines. First off, the waitresses are high on life & full of pep. Absolutely some of the most attentive & friendly waiting on tables anywhere. The food is good & made the way you would want it prepared; unadulterated, not greasy, and hot. Options are plenty, mainly breakfast & lunch stuff. Prices are very reasonable (cash only.). The endless coffee tastes like coffee and not something watered down. Guaranteed to satisfy that hankering for a good, fulfilling breakfast.

    Banana nut muffin was on special, and they toasted it perfectly. The flavor was out of this world and it wasn't dry at all.

    This place is the quintessential American diner. It's adorably decorated in small town style without feeling dirty or dingy. The staff could be the description straight from a Hollywood movie. The waitresses are juggling several customers with the smooth grace of years enjoying what they do, all while holding conversations with the elderly regulars around the counter. "Mom" is even behind the counter, just focusing on keeping a fresh pot at hand and making sure those regulars coffee is never cold or low. I'm sure I'm not doing justice to just how warm and lovely this diner is from the moment we walked in the door. While the food isn't going to get a Michelin star, it's exactly what ones looking for when you're craving just a simple, no pressure, meal. No frills, no bullshit. Just an authentic American diner. So glad we heard about this place!

    A very nice little diner. Prompt friendly service. Very decent vegetable omelette and good home fries with onions.

    This place has been around for ages in Eastwood. I used to go here with my Mom years ago and I have a lot of memories here. Went today with my sister about half hour before closing and the waitress was so pleasant ( she has worked there a long time) and it just feels like home. My breakfast/lunch was perfect, the eggs were cooked just right, the home fries were soft and browned but not burned and not too crispy. The kielbasa was browned and not too salty. If your in Eastwood I recommend you try it. They also have homemade pie that is very good.

    Wonderful nook in cranny for breakfast/brunch. Lovely Maryann waitress sweet, helpful with that Syracuse twang and a great smile. Food was served exactly how I ordered it fresh and tasty. Loved the décor and atmosphere. If you like little good places, go there. I will return. { (ask for Mr. Kent! **) }

    Such a cute place! We found this place by searching on Yelp and we were not at all disappointed! Super friendly staff and excellent prices. Great old-time diner feel with rounded counter space and booths. The breakfast menu has many options from eggs to pancakes to French toast to omelets. We loved this place so much we came back the next day! Can't wait to come here the next time I'm in town!

    I dropped by Carl's Kountry Kitchen a couple of weeks ago for a quick breakfast. Carl's Kountry Kitchen offers a simple, no frills breakfast experience. What you see is what you get and I mean that in a good way. The menu is simple, with all your favorite breakfast staples. My pancakes, sausage and eggs came out perfectly and quickly. The food was tasty without being overly oily. The service is friendly and efficient. Carl's Kountry Kitchen is that kind of dinner whose patrons are regulars and where servers know customers by first name. I'm a fan. If I ever find myself in the Syracuse area again, I will be back!

    Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food…read more I googled some restaurants near me and oh my darling caught my attention. Inside it's rustic and modern at the same time. Very large space and tables are well spaced out to give everyone some privacy. I wanted to specifically make it for the lunch because I wanted to try the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes which came with greens and a side of protein. I choose potatoes. I also ordered a peach Bellini drink. Delicious!!! Definitely hit the spot. The food portions are big so I couldn't finish all my food but if I had space in my stomach I would have licked the plate clean. The staff is friendly. Someone who I assume is the owner was walking around greeting guests. My server was great really payed attention to his guests. Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

Firstly, the space is amazing! It's bright, open, and inviting with plenty of seating. Secondly, staff are very friendly and helpful! And thirdly, their food is amazing! I'm not vegan but their food is genuinely delicious. We ordered the loaded nachos, chicken parm sandwich, and the sweet sassy molassey sandwich, chocolate mint milkshake and a green tea. The half order of loaded nachos was generous in size and toppings! It was filling without being heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Probably one of my top loaded nachos ever. The chicken parm sandwich was also amazing! If I didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, I would not have known that the chicken was not meat. It had the texture of perfectly cooked chicken. The stretch bread was soft, the marinara was warm and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 sandwich. The sweet sassy molassey was also quite good! Very bright, filled with vegetables and deliciously seasoned tofu. Finally, the milkshake! I would have never guessed it was vegan. It was creamy, minty, and chocolatey - like drinking thin mints! I'm determined to squeeze in more visits here before they close!

There's also a parking lot which seemed like it would get full quickly if on a busier day. Our waitress was Karen (?) and she was very sweet. We ordered the Hot Honey Chicken and waffles (without gravy cause they ran out) and the Basic "B" with an extra side of hash brows. The chicken and waffles was pretty tasty! The waffles were light and airy and the chicken was moist with a nice crunch. I'm not sure how the gravy would've affected the texture but it was definitely delicious without it. The Basic B was standard, the bacon was apple smoked and thick. The pancakes were yummy, they came with a cinnamon butter which was perfect for the pancakes. And the hash browns were nice and crispy.
