We are Back for another Take out thursday this time hitting the new syracuse sensation: Over the Cuse Deli To back up for a minute, I'm an NYC native being born there and spending at least 4 adult years eating and experiencing food there. My favorite dish was always gyros over rice with cut up pita and salad from the streetcarts. Fastforward to now. In Upstate NY it is hard to find Gyros or meat over rice as good as the city...until today. I took one bite and had flashbacks. The chicken is seasoned with a blend of the middle east and Mediterranean. The steak was coated with white sauce, garlic sauce, and hummus. And the salad was panopley of options. Even a little toasted pita to remind of the gyros. Very filling. I will get multiple meals out of this and I will be back to try more! read more

Ordered food and the delivery guy took my first order than decided not to deliver it. I was told I'd get a refund than to place the order again. I placed the order again and this time my dinner came without the cheesecake. I call back again and ask to speak to the manager and he tells me I have to email their HR department to get it all sorted out. He treated it like it was all a joke. I email them and they said I was Refunded for the first meal completely which I'm Still waiting for all these to process and that they're going to refund me for the second cheesecake. So I get hit with delivery fees and processing fees. I used to eat out here weekly but after this I'm sorry but I can't support someone who is going to mess my Order up twice I got hit with all these fees and there isn't anything they did to make the situation right and I've never had to email an HR department for a company I didn't work for. Great place! Enjoyed an Otto smash burger with fries, both excellent choices, though there are a variety of sides to choose from. The seating is somewhat limited, but there are also outdoor seats. Looks like they do a booming delivery business, no surprise being near the university. All staff are welcoming, gracious, polite and ensure you enjoy your meal. I like to feel that my business is appreciated and they hit it out of the park! They have the largest selection of beverages that I've ever seen, and I was able to get seltzer, which is not common in this area. I look forward to trying something on their breakfast menu next. Plenty of on the street parking when I was there. Plenty of SU themes in their murals, which are fun to look at. read more

I ordered delivery from here last week as hubby and I were craving a burger. He ordered their smashburger with 3 patties, egg, and onions and that sucker was HUGE!! He also got the Cajun fries and devoured his entire meal and loved it. I ended up getting the philly and honestly was a bit underwhelmed. It was small, and im pretty sure they forgot the cheese (can't honestly remember right now) but the regular fries were delicious! Crispy, hot and just right. I was craving a late night snack and mac&cheese with Cajun chicken sounded great. They advertised it with fries, so I figured the fries were on the side. My own fault for assuming but maybe it should be a little more specific. I would have liked more mac&cheese but they didn't skimp on the chicken. The entire bottom was fries with a small amount of mac&cheese and loaded with fried chicken on the top. It wasn't too bad, just not what I was expecting. I would only suggest you specify no fries or less fries. The selection of premade desserts and drinks was immediately impressive. I was greeted pleasantly upon entry, they asked all the right questions, including a sample of their most popular dishes. I opted to just get the top seller as it smelled delicious in there. It did not disappoint. The outdoor seating was quaint and worked well with the taco shop across the street also having outside seating. "Over the Cuse Deli" is a popular eatery in Syracuse, NY, known for its deli sandwiches and comfort food. Craving a deli sandwich for dinner the other day, wife and I decided to try one of the newer delis in the area with Over the Cuse. Plenty of selection on their website, they used Boars Head meats which is always a plus. I ordered online on their website at 4PM on a Monday for a 515PM pick up. Website is mostly very easy to use. I showed up a couple minutes early, and my order wasn't ready, but it was ready about 5 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. Its an interesting set up, you go up to one counter with 1 person to order, then your order is made at another counter across the room. A couple tables to sit, HUGE drink selection. I only spoke to the one employee at the order counter, and she was fine, but not overly friendly, but did apologize for the wait when she handed my order. Two full subs with small bags of chips cost around $30. I ordered a full Italian sub and my wife went with the Salsalito turkey. Got it home and we dug in. The only issue was I asked for my sandwich oil to be on the side since I had a decently long drive home and they put it on the sandwich, but it surprisingly didn't make the bread soggy. We both enjoyed our subs, though we thought they overall were a little small, but they were built well and had plenty of meat and toppings. We'd definitely grab a sub again if in the area. read more

Our entrées were bursting with flavor that left our tastebuds craving for more with each bite. We ordered the chicken & rice bowl as well as the steak & rice bowl. The meat was very flavorful & tender. The basmati rice was perfectly cooked and very aromatic. Even the side salad and pickled vegetables were scrumptious. They provided a beautiful freshness to the dish, one that I truly enjoyed. The service was amazing! The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The ambiance is very cozy and modern. Have ordered here multiple times, usually a large group of people order. Service has gone downhill fast. Call with any issues and they will basically tell you it's not their problem. Placed an order for delivery (not a far distance), no driver picked it up. 40 minutes past delivery time. Call them, they say they "arent concerned. It will be there once it's picked up". I tried a sample of chicken & rice w/white and yellow sauce!!! You'll want to order this dish! Filled with flavor and there are options of including steak and shrimp with this dish. They have salads, sandwiches, burgers along with an entire counter of desserts and multiple coolers of drinks!
