Had a little trouble here. We reserved a unit and two different people confirmed that our moving…read moretruck would be able to enter the facility. The morning of move in, it was discovered that the moving truck would not be able to enter the facility. Not only could it not enter, but the employees and manager were aware that it would not be able to enter since they had a truck get stuck during the previous week. We had to rent a uhaul and shuttle loads, which added to the expense. Of course we didn't realize all of this until about 3 minutes after our contract was signed. We had already paid our movers (Bekins) prior to this issue, and then had to negotiate the new price. Thankfully, our movers were accommodating and helpful (Bekins will get a great review) but blue llama storage was not. I called to ask if we could possibly cancel our contract to find a new facility that our truck could access, and wasn't treated very friendly. Even though they worked it out in the end, initially I experienced resistance from the manager who didn't want to let us out of the contract that the ink hadn't dried on. I asked him to speak with the owner and he agreed to. After doing some research and communicating with Bekins, we were accommodated by Bekins and decided to remain at this facility. I called blue llama and I told the manager we would not need to cancel the contract. He seemed distracted at the time. And apparently he was because he called me again 20 minutes later stating that he cancelled all transactions and refunded our money. So I had to call blue llama yet again to remind them of our conversation. In the end, we decided to leave our belongings here due to the time line and our inability to research any other facilities. Had we known about this logistical issue, we probably would have made arrangements with our movers prior to or we would have used another facility. It really threw a wrench into the process and literally quadrupled the time spent unloading our belongings. What a hassle!! This is a nice facility, very clean and friendly people (as long as you don't run into any problems). But I am disappointed that they did not offer any kind of assistance, or even issue an apology for this miscommunication on their part. I wouldn't recommended this facility for storing more than a closet worth of stuff.

During my working career I have had to store my household goods more than half a dozen times in various cities. Mike, the manager, has the experience and the willingness to offer suggestions to make my life easier. And both Mike and Bryce are great! The facilities are immaculate. This time, as a 73 year old woman, I have had to move into and out of my 10 x 20 unit for the most part on my own. Since I have most often been at my unit by myself, I have appreciated the knowledge that very good security cameras and the attention paid to them are more aware of the total area than other facilities I have used. If I have to again be in the Austin area and require storage, this will be the only place I will call.

I was told over the phone that they did not have any space but I could pick up the uhaul and there would be enough room to maneuver in and out of the facility. When I arrived no one had a record of my phone call or the reservation. Ok no problem let's just do it in person. I was loading a uhaul 5x8 on a flat deck trailer along with two of my family members cars, so we only had one vehicle to drive back to Georgia. The gentiman didn't know how I was going to load it up seeing that there was no room. I asked if I could drive through the enourmosly large gate into the enourmosly large lot and turn around. This is when the attitude came out. I was told that absolutely not you can't. When I questioned the man as to why, plenty of room, I was given the simple answer "I said no". No willingness to help out a customer, no willingness to provide customer service: I was treated like a child, talked down to in a manner I would never treat a stranger let alone a customer. Luckily a delivery truck was unloading in the street ( I'm assuming they don't let him use the lot to turn around in either. He stopped traffic so I could back out and I went down the street to Hutto and was taken care of there. I will never recommend this place to any one ever due to the owners terrible attitude and the way I was spoken to and treated. Even after me stating "hey man it's ok I get it I'm leaving now, no need to be ugly", he still hurled insults and negatives. I will be reporting this to uhaul as well. Edited: I also drove 30 min out of my way to come to this specific facility due to lot size and ability to get truck and trialer in and out of.

I can't say enough good things about this company. Their have been some minor gate issues, but…read morekind of stuff happens. What matters most is how responsive and professional the team is. These guys are incredibly helpful for any step of the way. The online tech is dated, but, if you can get past that (and you really should), then this should be your only storage facility to use in the area. I literally drive across the City when I need storage, because they give me such great piece of mind. It is worth noting, this place is incredibly well lit. That matters at night and you really see it when you compare to their competitors.

My boyfriend and I had an absolute nightmare of a time after our old car was towed straight out of our driveway. We were told no vehicles with expired tags could stay (even though I own this home...HOA). We needed to find both a storage place to park our car AND a tow truck to take it from the towed lot to the facility... We originally called a closer place, which weren't able to accommodate us. They recommended that we call Private Warehouse - lucky for us!!!!!! Not only did we get a fabulous rate, but the owners went out of their way to set up a VERY reasonably priced tow truck to take us. And if this wasn't enough, they found space in their already full lot AND stayed 2 hours past closing time to make sure we were accommodated that day. It's very rare these days that you meet people as kind, genuine and hardworking as Abby and Clay. We were lucky to have found them and would HIGHLY recommend them. Give them a call!

I went by Private Warehouse to check their rates for short time vehicle storage and the lady in the office said that it would be good to store it there because they would pro rate discount the charges to match whatever percentage of the month that I actually stored the pickup there. I stored my pickup there for 4 days and moved it to my mechanics shop. I moved it on the last day of the month so you would expect that the charges would have stopped then ... especially since I had payed a pro rated charge in advance for those 4 days of $11.00 . When I saw on my Wells Fargo account web page that a debit was pending for a another full month of storage I called their office and talked to another lady about it. She said the first lady misrepresented their policies and that they were within their rights to charge me for a month of storage even though I took my pickup out of their facility on the last day of the month . She said Im sorry and hung up. I just looked at my Wells Fargo account web page again and so far they have charged me 65 dollars for October in addition to the 11 dollars pro rated charge that I payed in advance for the last 4 or 5 days of September. Perhaps Private Warehouse needs money even worse than me and my family and that is how they justify charging me 76 dollars for storing my pickup there for 4 days ? You be the judge ... Would I have stored my truck there if I had been told it would cost me 19 dollars a day ? I do not think so. Do I recommend doing business with Private Warehouse ? I reckon I do not .

The only other truck available was an hour away - but we had to take it - as our movers will be here tomorrow morning at 5am....now we won't even get home until 1am.
