The ice cream is cheap enough however there is hardly any ingredients in it. The Pralines & Cream was all cream and enough pralines for 1 bite. We visited with our two kids and had a variety of the hand dipped ice cream. The service was quick, and the shop was very clean. We had the cotton candy, cherry cheesecake, banana cream pie, and birthday cake. All were great, and the kids had their cones rolled in sprinkles. Great ice cream would definitely recommend. I love their ice cream. So many flavors to choose from. I only did 4 stars because some of the staff act like they hate their jobs and are unfriendly. They act like they are annoyed with customers who ask for samples. My kids like to try some before they choose, like all children do. We went to the Papa Clyde's on spring hill Dr at 8:25 and they close at 9pm. My family was refused service and we were told they were cleaning and that we should have come in earlier. Poorest customer service I have seen in quite awhile. There were also multiple other customers that were refused service.we will not be back and I will let everyone I know about the poor customer service. read more

Whenever anyone says they want to go get ice cream at Dunkin or DQ, I ask them if they have had Papa Clydes. There really is no substitution for this place. It is the best ice cream in town and the portions are ginormous. The pricing is just right and the staff are always extremely friendly. Service is great! Ice cream is usually great too! But on the last two visits the air freshener smell has been overwhelming as soon as you walk through the door. Last night I could actually taste it in my sugar cone and ice cream. I thought it was just me but my husband could taste it too. This place is awesome! I'm not even that big of an ice cream person but this place is so close to my house that I go there about two to three times a month. It can be a bit annoying waiting since the other customers don't really seem to pay attention sometimes. Last time I had to wait ten minutes just for one woman. She picked a flavor, then talked to her daughter for a while, then asked to sample a few flavors, then realized that she had left her wallet in the car and had to go get it. He had already rung her up, so he had to wait for her to pay. He apologized profusely, though I know it wasn't his fault at all. Anyway, aside from a few slow customers at times this place is awesome. I always see the same guy when I go in. He's friendly, professional, and quick with the orders. He recognizes me now and always greets me when I walk in, even when he's waiting on other customers. My husband loves this place for the malts. I usually get the PB Overload, it's amazing! read more
