This place was amazing when it opened. Something has went very wrong. They are always "so busy" and the food is always delivered super late.Pick up orders are ready 40 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready. It's ridiculous. read more

I moved to Saint Clairsville eight months ago. During the busy time of moving and setting up a new home, we had tons of take out food. We tried all of the pizza shops in town numerous times. Papa D's Pizza consistently beats the competition. I believe they have six employees in total. Every staff member is friendly, courteous and professional. The store is neat and clean. There are several tables for dining in. My wife and I ate there twice. She enjoyed watching HGTV while eating at the pizza shop. I have probably had over twenty take out orders and never encountered a mistake or problem. On one occasion, I ordered a tray five minutes before closing. It was perfect pizza, not old, re-heated pieces. This pizza beats every competitor from here to Wheeling and beyond. The pepperoni rolls are nothing short of awesome. When my son visits from out of state, we order a tray for him to take home. He can't get enough of Papa D's Pizza either. read more

This is for the one by the courthouse on main st. You may not get what you order if you order from this shop. Try pizza Milano instead. I got the wrong pizza twice. The first time I ordered I called and ordered a large round double cheese with one half red bell peppers and hot cherry peppers. When it arrived it was made incorrectly. We got half chili pepper flakes and cherry peppers. I could have and would have just preferred to add my own pepper flakes. I didn't say anything, until it happened AGAIN! The second time was only cheese, and was fine. The third time we ordered was on NYE for a party with a bunch of vegetarians. My boyfriend called around 3 to have a pizza delivered around 545. We ordered a double cheese with hot peppers on half, and 4 ranch dressing. The guy who took the order asked if we wanted pepperoni (some people can't fathom having no meat in their food) When it arrived via delivery, I gave the guy $25 and took my pizza inside. I opened to check it and there was pepperoni on the whole thing! And NO ranch at all. The cheese was not even fully melted, I could still see the individual grates. We drove back to exchange it and they were closed, so I wrote them a Facebook message. They got back to me two days later saying they wouldn't give me my money back, but would give me half off on my next ordered which would be about $10.00 off. If keeping $10.00 is worth them losing great customers, then I am wondering how cheap they are with the quality of their ingredients and the cleanliness of their establishment. SCARY! They are brand new to an area where there are 4 other pizza shop within a few blocks, and 4 more within a haf a mile! Too bad for them for being too cheap properly fix their mistakes. read more

This could have been a better review. The service, at first, seemed great and the guy taking my order was really attentive. I asked about a special I saw on line and they honored it, so a great start. I ordered a full-tray of pepperoni and 10 barbecue wings. Only took about 15 minutes and my order was ready. Price was great and everything seemed good. After getting home I found 10 buffalo wings instead of barbecue. Now on a positive note the sauce is pretty good and the wings they use are nice and meaty. The problem is my 5 year old can't take spice and was more than disappointed. We live a half an hour a way so just heading over and picking up a replacement wasn't possible. The pizza itself reminds me of Di Carlos, with a little less sweet of a sauce. I'll definitely try this again, but I caution anyone trying this place to make sure they read back your order a third time and double check before you leave. read more

Papa D's is terrific "Ohio Valley" square pizza. For out of towners that means tge cheese never goes in the oven. Sounds weird, but tastes great. A really good crust that is both crunchy and chewy at the same time. Always remember to order a "side bag" of cheese to sprinkle on the slices just before you eat them; if you want to eat it the way the locals do. They also have great pepperoni rolls ( another valley delicacy) and above average salads. read more

I love the pizza. I don't think I can express how good it is. I usually do pick up. But we have done delivery and it was pretty quick. And they do let you know when they are busy just in case. I recommend trying papa d you will not regret and. And the price is reasonable read more

This is prob more like 3.5 for me. I think we have a great variety of pizzas in StC, and for the type that it is, I really like it. Not to say I'd pick it often, but I like it for a change of pace every few months. (I'd most closely compare it to dicarlos) read more
