One small note. The side salad came out with the meal. I prefer it a bit earlier, but service was very fast so everything arrived close together. If that matters to you, I would suggest asking, as the servers seem happy to accommodate. I tried several sauces. I am not a fan of sweet sauces, so I stuck with the original and spicy. Both were excellent, and I could not pick a favorite. Overall, a great meal and a place I would return to. Easily a five star experience.

To the left of the door was a window opening to the back with a woman standing there with a baby on her hip, we were looking around to see where to go and she let us know to head to the second window to the back. Upon arriving at the second window, there was a young man standing there. He didn't greet us, didn't smile, just stood there. I indicated it was our first time in and asked a question about the menu, he responded with the answer and then just continued to stand there. I was very uncomfortable so just ordered a sampler with nothing else. For the three options, i chose pulled pork, brisket, and 2 ribs. The food came out right away but no comments or anything. We saw the BBQ sauce area and I took a couple of options in condiment cups with no lids available. grabbed some napkins as we would continue our road trip and eat in the car. I am never a big fan of pulled pork; I have my favorite and compare all to it. This had more flavor than most I have had but it was really dry for being ordered early in the day. The brisket was tender and the fat attached gave flavor. The ribs were fine, also dry. This was a pit stop on our road trip because we love BBQ, this just wasn't for us.

I got a side salad and it was good and fresh with pimento stuffed olives, croutons and cheese. It was small but enough. The highlight and what was perfection and unique from my experiences were the fried portobello mushroom slices. They were absolutely delicious. The breading was packed full of seasoning and the texture reminded me fondly of potato wedges from the deli or your favorite chicken shack. Soooo good. My first time trying okra and I know my friend loves Cracker Barrel's fried okra. So it's probably me. Just not to my taste. But what added to our culinary experience and made it enjoyable was the attendant for our table. Her name is Jordan. She has brown hair and was friendly and diligent. She was quick to get our order and very helpful with our questions. While we were eating, I also saw her not only sweeping up after messy patrons, and not only wiping down the tables, but also conscientiously wiping the salt and pepper shakers, etc... It was refreshing to see such a hard worker during a lull in the business day. My husband and I travel many times a month and so we eat out frequently. Many times, we've seen workers going in the back and we end up waiting a long time for service. Or they're more engaged on their phones or chatting with one another so they don't notice the customers. I get it, it's a long day for them.
