If you are looking for authentic, house-made Italian comfort food, you will love this restaurant…read more The ambiance was comfortable and quiet, making it an ideal choice for a relaxed dinner where you can actually hear the person across the table. I had the House Sampler, which is a great chance to try several different menu items: Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Fettuccine Alfredo. The Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan were excellent--perfectly seasoned and clearly prepared with fresh, house-made ingredients. The Fettuccine Alfredo was good and served as a nice, creamy addition to the plate. My wife had the manicotti and thought it was great; it's definitely a winner if you're a fan of stuffed pasta. What really made the night was our server, Marin. She was great--professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive. We never had an empty glass, our items were served hot and accurate, and she checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. It's rare to find service this seamless. Between the quality of the house-made dishes and the top-tier service from Marin, we had a wonderful experience.

The second time, we were seated fairly quickly; service was pretty slow after that. Food was given out at vastly different times. I had my full salad and my meal came with a second round of bread before my girlfriends plate. The person serving our food also had chipped nail polish and smelled of urine. Our waitress also kept disappearing towards the end of our meal. They clearly focus on larger parties (not more than 5) because we were only checked on once the entire time. I had to wait an extra 15mins just to get my check.

They have…read morea dollar collection on the walls, on the ceiling, on napkin holders, basically sign or draw on a dollar and hang it up! The place is in older building but they keep it very clean and tidy. They have many options on the menu but are known for their pizza. They have an 8lb. pizza if you want the challenge. It looks about 4" thick. This trip we each got a small pizza with the toppings we like. I like the meatlovers and my wife likes the works with a lot of toppings. Service was quick and attentive, and the pizza arrived pretty quick. I prefer a thin crust but their crust is a little thicker than that but still very good. All in all very tasty experience. It does make 2 meals if you eat half there, and take a to go box for later. Your free tip of the day.

They have an 8 pound pizza, yes 8 pounds... since there is no way 2 of us could do that, we opted for the all the meats pizza. The toppings were very generous.... No skimping on this meaty pie!!!! Of note was the delicious sausage... YUM!!! Now, everyone likes different types of pizza crust, I would have preferred a thinner crust, but my husband raved about the hearty " sturdy" crust that didn't break or fold when you ate a slice. Pizza gets a 5/5 for sure!!!!! Now the other specialty is the "Freak Shake"... a social media- worthy concoction that you will not want to skip. Disclaimer..... we had to make a second trip so we could enjoy one!!!!! We got the sinful " Peanut Butter S'more"..... imagine a vanilla/peanut butter flavored milk shake, topped with an entire Hershey Bar, a whole graham cracker, 3 toasted marshmallows , whipped cream, chocolate AND peanut butter drizzle. The take home plastic cup is rimmed with vanilla frosting and rolled in graham cracker crumbs. This concoction from heaven is enough for 3-4 or more people to share!!! Both times service was smiling and friendly. Oh.... And check out the cool " wall paper" when you visit!!!!!

We had an unforgettable experience at this restaurant while celebrating my grandpa's late birthday…read more From the moment we arrived, the staff were very friendly and kind. What I'm most appreciative of, is when my grandma, who wasn't feeling well that day, assisted our family with helping get a trash can so my grandma didn't get sick on herself. The staff who worked today was patient, attentive, and genuinely compassionate, helping her without ever making her feel like a burden. That level of humanity is rare and deeply appreciated. Our food was great and the service was the amazing and will be remembered by all of us! We'll always be grateful and will absolutely be back. The last time I ate here was 13-14 years ago and I'm glad I came back again with the family. My Nana loves those butter squares & bread. :) Kim S. was very friendly and kind. #1 server!!! I started with a soup, while my brother started with a salad. They were served with these garlic rolls, which were absolutely delicious to eat both alone and with the soup. Then came time for the entrees. I got the Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana, while my brother got the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. My Sausage and Pepper Parmigiana had a delicious mix of flavor and spice which I enjoyed every bite of, while my brother enjoyed his Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. Additionally, we had thought from looking online that this would be one of our pricier meals out, but Cafe Italia actually ended up being a great value, as our meals included a soup or salad and rolls, and the portions were so generous, I needed to pack some of my entree away to eat in the morning. In short, we wholeheartly recommend Cafe Italia, both because the food is excellent but also because the portions are so large they are an excellent value. We are glad we chose to go here and would definitely come back here if in the area again.

We wanted Italian. And this looked like the place to go with all five star reviews…read more First the parking. There is a lot of free parking in the adjacent Stadium Park Plaza garage. It's a bit confusing to find the restaurant though from there, as there is no access from the first floor. But from the 2nd and 3rd floor there is access using the elevator. The bulb in the elevator area needs to be replaced because it's burned out, and all dark like a scene from a horror movie. The restaurant faces the ballpark stadium Inside the restaurant there weren't many customers on a weekday for dinner. It was our waitresses second day and she messed up quite a lot. Like the bill/check had us all ordering drinks and extra meat with our pasta, but we didn't do any of that. But she was nice about it all, and even comp'd us a $5 beer which I pointed out to her that she didn't add to the bill yet (that being the one and only omission in the midst of all the wrong add-ons). The fried calamari appetizer was good. Only the rings. No arms. The pomodoro sauce was nice. But overall it was just an average dish and much better at other places. The New York strip was good. But they didn't have asparagus. That would be ok if not for the fact that they only have 3 sides to choose from: roasted potatoes, rice, and asparagus. So it was either double potatoes or the rice. So we got the rice. And it was super boring, and tasted overcooked and chewy. The steak and potatoes were good though. The kid's Alfredo was good too. But the carbonara was kinda bland. The waitress and said it was a white sauce but upon checking it was butter sauce she told us. But it was really not worth it. The complimentary bread they served with the meal tasted like pretzel bread. Kinda hard and chewy. But hot. It was good. It comes with olive oil for dipping. Over $100 for 3 people. It was kinda steep. And add to that a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Well that really was like salt in the wound. Is all of bowling green like that with credit surcharges? Sure hope not.

What an absolute delight!…read more We walked in on a Saturday night without reservations & were immediately sat. They were so cool about it. Before I talk about the food let me tell you about the ambiance. Classy, clean, cool - am I in NYC or Murray, KY?! And the music selection surprised me at every turn. Nick Drake? Yes, please! For starters, it was happy hour & wine was $7 a glass. The cab was delicious. A perfect selection, poured fresh table-side. The starter kale salad with fresh fennel bulb was a testament to the goodness of God's creation. I crave that salad daily. House-made pasta - need I say more? The chicken in my mushroom pasta dish was house-roasted, you could taste it! And the mushrooms were so fresh and fragrant- the way mushrooms should be eaten. The red/sauce sausage pasta my daughter got was just the right amount of spicy. The next day I mixed our two pasta leftovers together & that was a real treat! For dessert we had the flourless chocolate torte which was the perfect ending to the perfect meal. I'm already planning my next meal when I visit Murray next weekend! Oh, also! They used Oneida Michelangelo silverware - the fancy stuff my parents used at home growing up. So that was special
