We wanted Italian. And this looked like the place to go with all five star reviews. First the parking. There is a lot of free parking in the adjacent Stadium Park Plaza garage. It's a bit confusing to find the restaurant though from there, as there is no access from the first floor. But from the 2nd and 3rd floor there is access using the elevator. The bulb in the elevator area needs to be replaced because it's burned out, and all dark like a scene from a horror movie. The restaurant faces the ballpark stadium Inside the restaurant there weren't many customers on a weekday for dinner. It was our waitresses second day and she messed up quite a lot. Like the bill/check had us all ordering drinks and extra meat with our pasta, but we didn't do any of that. But she was nice about it all, and even comp'd us a $5 beer which I pointed out to her that she didn't add to the bill yet (that being the one and only omission in the midst of all the wrong add-ons). The fried calamari appetizer was good. Only the rings. No arms. The pomodoro sauce was nice. But overall it was just an average dish and much better at other places. The New York strip was good. But they didn't have asparagus. That would be ok if not for the fact that they only have 3 sides to choose from: roasted potatoes, rice, and asparagus. So it was either double potatoes or the rice. So we got the rice. And it was super boring, and tasted overcooked and chewy. The steak and potatoes were good though. The kid's Alfredo was good too. But the carbonara was kinda bland. The waitress and said it was a white sauce but upon checking it was butter sauce she told us. But it was really not worth it. The complimentary bread they served with the meal tasted like pretzel bread. Kinda hard and chewy. But hot. It was good. It comes with olive oil for dipping. Over $100 for 3 people. It was kinda steep. And add to that a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Well that really was like salt in the wound. Is all of bowling green like that with credit surcharges? We stopped for drinks and dessert. Yummy. The crème brûlée was creamy and the topping was toasted just like it should be and it was so good we ordered a tiramisu to go. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back for dinner sometime. We sat outside and there was a concert at the farmers market next door. So it was really good evening. read more

Glad to have this Italian option in Bowling Green! They are still in formative stage, their bar is yet to open.. you can order some really good wines but no cocktails yet. We ordered cheese board without the meat, other than the burrata the rest of the cheeses were not edible.. one was even bitter. The caprese salad is good in starters. Of the pastas, truffle ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo are decent. The kids butter pasta is really good. Tiramisu was amazing.. the crème brulee was eggy and tasteless. Customer service wise, we were asked how the food was, which is the sign of a good restaurant usually. We were transparent about every item, including the bad cheese and the crème brulee. Usually, one of these items would have been removed from the bill, that didn't happen. We have lived in Bowling Green for almost two years, and the lack of Italian food is very evident. When this restaurant was announced, we were excited, and my kids' birthday was perfect. I excused to go spend some money on this. I made reservations because it was a Friday, but it was early enough that I didn't need them. The restaurant was not full at all. We ordered great drinks, and then calamari and Eggplant Rollatini. The eggplant was great, calamari was perfect like chewing on a rubber band. We ended up sending the Calamari back but disappointedly they did not take it off the bill or try to replace it with anything good. I truly enjoyed my time at Tra Di Noi. I'm quite skeptical of Italian restaurants, being Italian myself and from a family where making food and enjoying company with it was always important. Onto the food. I have been twice and the first time I got Nonna's Lasagna. It was quite tasty but a bit too salty for my liking and the lasagna sheets were a bit too thick. But that's how some recipes are, and whoever the Nonna was for this recipe, it was certainly made with love I'm sure. The second time I went I got the truffle ravioli. These were fantastic! The sauce was rich and the ravioli were enjoyable. Overall, wait staff were accommodating and attentive and I enjoyed both times there. I'll be going back again. Also, they offer gluten free noodles at no additional charge. What a great option for my partner who has a gluten allergy. Lastly, the feel and vibe of the place is casual yet comfy. It's great for families and a business get together. (So why the 4 instead of 5? Just a bit too much salt across the board for me. I grew up on a much looser more tomato forward red sauce. I left each time feeling as if I had eaten something g very unhealthy instead of fresh and light). read more

The lobster bisque was thick tomato soup with a little bit of lobster, baked Ziti drowned in cheese, penne pasta (bitter and extremely dry). Wine selection was good. $80 was our lunch bill. We used our night out to have dinner in this place and try something new. Unfortunately we were not impressed. The ambience felt like a low light chain restaurant. The food was not great. The Cesar salad tasted like it was just lettuce with a store bought dressing. The spaghetti carbonara had burned pancetta. The bathrooms had no place to hang your coat. The service was very clumsy. And we spent over $100 for a meal. We will not be coming back. It is very unfortunate because we were really excited for a new Italian place. 3% charge for using the credit card. And last the creme brûlée tasted like vanilla ice cream with burnt sugar on top to seem like the dessert that it's not. Best Italian cuisine in Bowling Green. Table service is warm, efficient, and exceeds what we tend to get here in town. We've been several times and I have to reinforce that their price points on meals is arguably the best in Bowling Green. They offer a solid wine list and plenty of beer options. As Arnel, owner, has shared, their liquor license is close to approval. Like any Italian restaurant, it can get loud at times. There are two sides, with one being slightly darker. We've dined on both sides and I attest that the food and service remain exceptional regardless of where you sit. Parking was excellent - plenty of space in the attached parking structure even on a night with plenty of events downtown. The restaurant is fairly dark inside and the menu can be just a bit hard to see if you have vision issues. However, the food was great. Portion sizes were huge for the price. I expected fairly high prices due to the location and overall experience - but prices were actually great. We had chicken Parmesan and a salad - both were excellent. Service was also great. It is very loud so hard to talk to people at your table. But you can't beat the food. My wife and I ate here during our drive home May 2024. We liked the ambiance and the service was excellent. The Caesar salad and wine were good. The problem was the main courses. My wife had Chicken sorrentino, which was prepared with a brown sauce, not a tomato base. The brown sauce tasted like store-bought brown gravy. It was thick and bland. I had the Veal Saltimbocca. Same problem. The veal was served over a bed of spaghetti and again had a thick bland brown sauce which was poured over the veal and the spaghetti and again tasted like a store-bought brown gravy. The veal was also dry. All in all, these main courses did not taste Italian at all and we were disappointing. The limoncello cake which we had for dessert was very good. Incidental note: There is no street or parking in front of the restaurant. The only way we found it was our GPS said we were there. We pulled over and my wife happened to see an Italian flag in the distance. She quickly walked over to the flag and got directions on where to park, which was free and nearby. My sister and I took my mom for Mother's Day lunch/early dinner on that Friday. It was our first experience there. The food was fantastic and some of the best flavors I've ever had from authentic Italian food. Our waitress was so attentive and helpful so the service was amazing. Finally tried this new Italian restaurant and I will definitely go back. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and my husband ordered the veal Parmesan, both were delicious. This restaurant is a fine asset to Bowling Green. Food is very good, love their dining room, and our waiters both times were awesome. I had the fried Calamari, which is the best in town, and the Veal Parm first time I sent and Chicken Picada second time there. New Italian restaurant in our town. Yikes went for special night out and what a disappointment. First, we were seated immediately, very few people there as it was early and we didn't want the dinner crowd, the atmosphere was nice, restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms. Waitress was pleasant and answered all our questions regarding the food. This was the best part of our visit here, now on to the food. We were given a basket of rolls with some olive oil and herbs; the rolls were not very good, and the dipping oil was pretty tasteless. Not a good start but we were hopeful. I ordered the eggplant parmesan I asked what vegetable came with the meal, there was none, if you want a vegetable or side salad it is an additional charge. (A salad with the meal would have cost an additional 15.00) The eggplant parmesan came with a side of spaghetti, the eggplant parmesan was tasteless, it was not fried if it was it was a soggy fry with some mozzarella on it, and well the spaghetti was poor. My son got the chicken parmesan which came with a side of spaghetti, again, no salad or veggies. He said that it was a piece of frozen chicken slapped on the plate with some mozzarella on top, same issue with the spaghetti, yucky. I can't say how disappointing this was, I won't be returning. I hope they have plans on improving their cooking techniques, I have had authentic Italian, and this could not be further from that, all the hype that was made about this restaurant was just that. I gave two stars only because we had quick seating and a nice waitress. read more
