We had the best Christmas dinner of Prime Rib. Everything was great and so easy to reheat. We will definitely do this again!

Very expensive which is fine if meat is good. Paid $19/lb for beef brisket and was not good at all.

In Season, Saturday, March 21, 2026 - Two for take out lunch for the beach…read more My wife has been bragging about these folks for months so we thought to stop in and see how they are for a few sandwiches?! VERY GOOD is the short answer! My wife got the Polo Toscano - grilled chicken on an awesome sourdough bread that I believe comes in from New Jersey? She decided to take a little bite in their roomy parking lot!!!! AND the result was we did not make it over KMI/Hatchett Creek Bridge heading to Nokomis Beach..... I got the "stump"/end of the bread with a little bit of chicken / cheese etc. So will have to go by her assessment. 9/10 I got the Lukie - portabella, asparagus, zucchini, roasted red pepper cheese (provolone and they let me try a piece before they made the sandwich!!! WOW that is no Dietz & Watson or Publix brand cheese - right out of the Italian market in NY or Philly!!) They put balsamic and oil on and the veggies were sauté etc. And there in was the only issue. Flavor and ALL ingredients were great....... but the sourdough bread was a soggy sponge by the time I cracked it open on the beach about 30 minutes later. The vinegar, the liquids from the sauté, the oils and etc. I WILL be going back for this exact thing next time, BUT will get it "dry" or dressing on the side. I picked it apart and threw well over 1/2 the roll in the trash. 5/10 Really good first visit for me and EASY PEASY fix so check back on my update...... OR go there yourself and find out how great they are! I spoke to a few friends and the overwhelming feedback was very good food and selection....but prices are a bit high for a deli/takeout.

Excellent food, service and ambience. Great value for money well spent! Super lunch spot.read more

August 22 2025 - First visit: takeout for 3…read more Had some phone trouble or they were super busy? My wife could not get through and got hung up on twice..... so I drove the 2 miles over. The front take out counter crew was very friendly and apologized for the issues. I ordered in the restaurant and waited. My family came to South Philly in the mid-1800s and I grew up there for 45 years - LaSalle HS and Drexel U downtown. My at one time over 400 total cholesterol and my 185 CAC score is a testament to the cheesesteak experience I have had? (grimace) We have found (except for Gentiles who i heard is closing) not found anything close to a Philly Cheesesteak, not matter what the claims and "the experts" down in FL seem to feel they have eaten. So we gave the Steak Bomb a try and also got a large plain cheese pizza as the reference standard. About $33 for them both, could not find a large plain cheese on the menu priced exactly but I think it was ~ $19 which is good, and the Steak Bomb HOAGIE they call a sub. (the on-line Google menu is 2 years old and the prices are about 10% or more higher. ALSO there is a credit card "service" charge ~ 4?% so be prepared. The steak product was very good and nicely chopped and cooked. Not too crazy on the cheese and the onions and garnishes were appropriate. Very tasty! The problem with either matching or beating a Philly Cheesesteak come down to ONE THING after you get the meat, cheese, and onion down right.... its the Amoroso roll OR something like it? The roll here was nice but the outside had a thin "brownish" toasted crust like many "steak rolls" do and the interior "dough"/bread was sort of airy and a little stiff. An Amoroso is soft and the outside is just golden brown not toasted. Trying not to be too hard on them..... great effort and one of the closest in the area!!! 7/10 The large plain, I think was 16". Some allowance for my delivery distance from store to home should be made, but unlike some others the inside of the box was not all steamy and soggy... this has been our take out pizza curse down here in Florida. The sauce is okay with a little tanginess, the cheese seems high quality and "stretchy" and not stuffed with whey and fillers. The crust appeared high caliper but when we unpacked at home it was a little lip and soggy? maybe it got steamed in the car? Maybe it need a little more time??? The cheese pizza expert in my family was not a fan of this pizza. I thought it was better than most in the area. (Of note I had two slices left over and this pizza REALLY re-heats WELL!) 8/10 First impression, meaning there has to be a second or third as well, a future stop IN to get a fresh pie and also maybe some other steak varieties to try as well.
