I bought a $100 ounce from here yesterday that was so harsh I gave it to a homeless person. I went back today and bought a $100 half assuming I had just cheaped out too much on the last one This one tasted like lawn trimmings and really hurt my throat. So now I have no smokable weed, a sore throat and I am out $200. Pros: - Good selection of flower and concentrates for any budget. You can get a gram of distillate for around 35 bucks. But not all of their concentrates are cheap. - Some of their infused pre-rolls start at just 8 bucks. - Daily specials and several HH's throughout the day in the morning and at night. - Customer Service has gotten a bit better. - Prices have dropped since they first opened. I'm not sure if the dispensary has undergone new ownership or management, but it's much more competitive than it used to be when they first opened 4 years ago. Their prices were way too high given their location. Now it's more on par with the rest of the area. Cons: - I was told the only discounts available were the specials on the menu. I really like the customer service but strongly dislike the managers... they don't do any of the things I see other head shops doing to protect their employees. No security guards, schetchy clientele in a really bad neighborhood, bad parking. A few months ago someone ran a car into the building and they didn't shut down or anything, they just put a piece of plywood over the broken wall. It looked like the pipes were leaky and also looked like electrical wires were exposed. What kind of place is this?! I mean there's gotta be consideration for the employee safety with legal establishments! Came through for vacation from LA. Stopped by a few shops but this was the one. I went twice. I worked with the tall dude guy who had dreads, he made the experience that great, honestly. He's the reason I'm leaving this review, they got great quality stuff and a huge variety, but he actually took a minute to hear what my itinerary consisted of and picked out stuff that fit my needs for sure! A little of a drive from downtown. But quick and easy to find in route. There wasn't really a designated place to line up (which would be my only complaint). This location had a pretty good flow of traffic thru it. My consultant Elton ( I believe) was very helpful when recommending product. I had asked him about my medical card from NV and if I could be consulted as a patient. Even though he said Washington doesn't and was sure. I have a serious thing about how sketchy a place looks and the quality of their products. I live in the greenlake neighborhood all my life and the closest Subway shop is in Aurora next to the Taco Bell. Im not sure where im going with this BUT OG has been my go to spot. Yeah it looks sketchy. Yeah there are frequent hookers and strippers walking around. Sure the cops roll by the area and make arrests from time to time and you'll see pimps and junkies and all that. OG will never fail you. The staff are the favorite part about this place. No matter if you show up once or twice they remember. It might seem overwhelming at first when you walk in because there are so many things. If you're new to this world It can be a lot to take in. Just talk to the people up front. Be honest and they will too. Their knowledge and expertise will help guide and ease you in. There are always some good deals to be had and sometimes new or popular strains that just came in. Just ask! Theres too much stigma against people who have these kinds of jobs or hobbies. By far these are the nicest people in the area and my favorite shop I've ever been to. You can find anything you need here. S/o to the homies at OG that hooked me up with a glass bowl when I only had 30$ and some of the nicer bowls were $40-60. Sometimes the service is good. They carry the trim bags I like but I will never go back after the service I had today. There is no real way to know what they have because the online menu isn't consistent with what they actually carry. So, being from Texas, one of my bucket list items in Washington was to check out a dispensary. (Heads up - I didn't purchase anything, but I still wanted to go.) Why? Because weed is this hugely criminalized thing, especially in Texas, and I wanted to see what it was like on the other side. You know, where you go somewhere and it's treated like alcohol or cigarettes. Isn't it crazy that we live in a country where I can consume things that will actually kill me, like alcohol and cigarettes, but a plant that's never killed anyone is illegal? Now that's insanity. So I wanted to check out what it was like to be in a place where no one gave a shit because no one should give a shit and it was every bit as laid back and chill as I could have expected. I really liked their set up. They had menus listing all of their options and there was an iPad set up where you could scroll through everything. Ocean Greens has a HUGE selection. They group things nicely, so you can browse all the available sativa or indica strains, for example, and their selection seems to constantly be growing and expanding. It appears that they also usually have some kind of special going on; from what I've heard, they have great specials, so definitely check those out if you have the ability to be a regular here. If you have questions, the bud tenders are awesome. Someone was trying to decide between two strains and the girl that helped him was so informative. She really knew her stuff and it seemed like the other people working did, too. They clearly take pride in their job and in knowing the product and I thought that was really cool. Super helpful service in addition to an excellent selection of products really does make for a super kick ass introduction to the world of legalized marijuana. Like I said, I did not purchase or partake in anything purchased here because I was on vacation, but it was a great experience and I got to cross it off my bucket list. I couldn't be happier that I live so close to OG. This has to be one of the best dispensaries in the Seattle area. From the outside it looks like any shady building on Aurora but don't let that fool you. The inside is really nice and spacious. The staff here is pretty much the bomb. Knowledgeable and not afraid to help you out if you become overwhelmed. Prices are on point and they have some good deals if you wanted to buy in larger quantities. The selection is amazing as well. You can get all sorts of things from shatter to flowers and even hardware for your vaporizer. They update the list regularly and post specials on the board near the front door. They have a kiosk with what's in stock if you don't feel like talking to anyone. There is plenty of parking in front and around the block. The E-Line bus drops off a block away if you're vehicularly challenged. Great hours that tend to be busier on weekends and late at nights. So plan for a little bit of a wait. If you're new or have never been to a dispensary let the staff know because they will guide you without being judgemental. read more

Wow! What a great experience at Ocean Greens. I came in to get a cartridge for my vape. I bought one, but I couldn't get it to draw through. I brought it right back and they gave me another. I was an out there town visitor, so I checked it in my car. This one didn't work either. I was getting pretty frustrated by this time. They gave me one more to try and you guessed it! That one didn't work either! I brought it back once more and the manager questioned me regarding the type of battery I was using. He realized right then that my battery was too small to torch the cartridge. He gave me a bigger one to try, so out to my car again and this time..it worked! I went back in the store and the manager gave me the bigger battery free of charge for my trouble. I highly recommend Ocean Greens! Great selection, great caring staff! Customers beware! I came in as a first time customer at the place, I have always looked forward to experiencing a new dispensary. I like to look at their products in their glass cases, compare prices , and talk to the budtenders. Almost every time that I try a new place, I'm welcomed,and treated nicely. But if a business is busy, I just get something familiar, and let the budtenders do their thing,so I don't get them behind. I've worked as a Fine dining restaurant manager for 7 years, and a bartender in nice establishments for at least 10 years, so I can give a professional opinion about good customer service. This manager is a spoiled clown who doesn't care if customers are happy. Or if the business succeeds. Well, I researched the menu I had 10 to 15 items picked out. My phone acted up and wouldn't work right, so I wasn't able to send my order. I walked in and let the bud tender know, so I was guided to a tablet to order. Well, the tablet did not work correctly, so then I decided to ask the bartender about different products. I like to look around different dispensaries showcase areas where they have their products and prices. I was in the store maybe eight minutes, and all of a sudden, the security person/manager, comes up to me and tells me that I have to stop loitering there right away. Either I tell the bud tender what I want, or leave because they were getting backed up and they need to take care of their customers. I turned around, and there was no other customer in the store at that time. So I became upset and told that manager that he insulted me and embarrassed me. I am a NEW paying customer with cash wanting to spend money in their establishment, and I've never been treated like this before in my life! His response was to tell me well "if you don't like it go ahead and leave I don't care. Well, I thought about it, but decided to stay because I spent a long time researching their menu and preparing myself to go experience a new establishment. I usually love doing that, but this was a nightmare experience for me.The manager then told me that he apologized, but this area that the business is in is too dangerous of a place to be standing around with cash, and taking your time. I then tried to remember everything that I wanted to buy there, but couldn't, so he handed me a bunch of different baggies without asking me what I wanted. By then, I was just ready to leave, so I finally asked for a specific beverage. He told me that he didn't have it, but assured me that another item would be just like what I was asking for. I took it, and proceeded to check out. It was a Friday, and it was advertised that customers had 10% off every Friday. Of course I didn't get half of the things that I wanted. Damnit! Then he rang me up and told me the price. Well, I am a math expert, and I knew right away that he did not give me 10% off. I mentioned to him that the 10% discount was not added, and he immediately raised his voice and told me that it was, and gave me a dirty look, trying to intimidate me. By then I gave up on the discount and paid him his money and left. I came home, and the products that I purchased were not nearly as quality as what I'm used to getting for the same price, and the drink that I specifically asked for and he assured me was just as good, was nothing like it was supposed to be. It was actually some kind of tincture that my wife could not use. So, my recommendation for people that like to try to learn about their products, ask questions, and are used to being in a positive environment, where you feel like you're being helped instead of being rushed and talked down to, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I wanted to call the owner, and let him know about my experience, but found out that the guy that was behind all of this IS THE OWNERS SON!!! That shady little prick doesn't seem to care about how hard his father worked to get this! From being an immigrant,learning a new language, washing dishes( I personally know how hard the job can be.) then earning a wonderful opportunity to open up a dispensary. read more

I've visited a half dozen shops in north Seattle in the last couple months and have had the best all around experience in OG. Budtenders have been very helpful in filling my order and answering any question. I find they have the most friendly and up to date website in my experience. Yes to avoid driving to a shop only to find they don't have what you want, order it on line first. First off you will receive a text confirming your order is ready to pick up (and they have it), and two you receive a 10% discount. It works for me! I make it a point to stop here when I'm in the area (and when I can afford it). they have a pretty good selection that is easy to peruse from their laminated menus. the staff is really friendly and they make good recommendations. I've purchased just pre-rolls from them of sativas and sativa hybrids, but each one has been rolled really nicely with good hits and has definitely done its intended purpose.
