I came in to buy some shells and politely asked the clerk if she could wrap them in a little extra bubble wrap since we were heading on a trip to Las Vegas and needed to protect them. Her response was rude and dismissive, flat out refusing. The bubble wrap was sitting right in front of her, which made her attitude even more incomprehensible. These are delicate and expensive items, and such a complete lack of willingness to help leaves a very bad impression. I would love to recommend them based on their selection, but the service needs a major improvement.

I recently bought there a Swedish dish towel of a fun map of Florida and it does a great job of washing dishes by hand. Also a charming pack of cards with 2 turquoise seahorses with a center of a floral arrangement with a vase by the artist Rosanne Beck. One of the best stores in downtown 5th Avenue. The owner Sheryl is very professional and helpful. Also asked me if I needed anything to be gift wrapped. My friend Chrissy also bought a notebook for a gift for her husband which I helped her pick out. As my friend and I left the store, we were completely amazed at the store and Sheryl. We were saying geez she is so cool, her hair, makeup and clothes are impeccable. So we turned around to go back to tell her. Thank you so much!

As a matter of fact, we made a second trip (90 miles from home) to purchase another pair of the men's shoes in different color as I was so impressed by the first pair of shoes I purchased. The T-Shirt Hut's souvenirs were even cheaper than the souvenirs at Bailey's or Jerry's, and you would expect a grocery store would have cheaper souvenirs than a souvenir shop. If economy is your goal, I don't think you'll find more reasonably priced, quality souvenirs anywhere else but at the T-Shirt Hut. And this store was just fun to walk through. Plus, it's a great thing to do on a rainy day in Sanibel.

The store is a bit bigger than most shops and the better of the merchandise are the t-shirts and sweatshirts. They were of better design and quality without being too expensive. By better design, I mean the shirts were not cheesy or super touristy. It does not look like you got the shirt at a giveaway. The designs and cuts were just enough to say casual beach wear and if you wanted to stock up for gift giving it won't break the bank. There are shells to buy in the back of the store as well. Sand dollars were in good condition and they have a good variety of smaller colorful shells too. Good people working there as I was not pressured to buy something. The overall shopping experience was enjoyable. I would recommend checking it out!
