The staff is as equally as warm and welcoming. The teachers and other staff are NYS certified and have many years of experience. The facility that houses Galileo Preschool and Daycare is well kept and very clean. The curriculum and educational program is equitable to the local school districts. Children are happy, well cared for, and enjoy wonderful learning opportunities such as themed cooking classes each with a Registered Dietitian, sensory play and age appropriate Math, Science and Literacy activities. Galileo Preschool helped my child become ready for Kindergarten and build the necessary social emotional skills that would ensure future success.

My son got hurt multiple times here and saw the EMT. No one ever notified me both times this happened. The final straw was him hitting the back of his head on the pavement and having a lump, he complained of a headache and thats when I found out they were playing sharks and minnows on the pavement! No super vision, counselors are on their phones most of the time, they barely check IDs at pickup. When I tried to withdraw him they decided he was no longer a fit. When Amy refused to give me a refund for the weeks we were not going to be coming any longer I asked to speak to the owner, after refusing to call him several times she finally decided to call him and said to me "you know what your a real pain." Apparently their policy states absolutely no refunds even when your child is in danger. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else!

I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

This place has 2 year olds with masks on. It is a mess, unkept and the teachers desk looks like a bomb went off on it. No organization, not much learning more like a day care. Instead of worrying about masking a small 2 year old and putting an unnecessary strain on their underdeveloped lungs they are too busy hanging on the CDC's every word (which has a terrible track record for being truthful and factual) during COVID. CHILD ABUSE. GET THE MASKS OFF OUR CHILDREN. PS. When asked why the kids still have masks on they said "We have a lot of dr. Parents Who wanted to finish out the school year with masks." My children have been thriving in this environment and LOVE going to school. The structured educational practices the Starks instilled creates character and confidence the children need as they begin to appreciate this solid foundation of learning to enrich their minds as they embrace the journey of a well rounded education. My kids start school this week and they are super excited about what this year has to offer. They wondered what projects, performances, activities, the teachers have prepared and how they will be picked to participate with classmates. He had a tough time transitioning and eventually we got him to go for a period of 3 months without tears. 6 mos later after winter break, he was horrified going. He screamed, cried and they would call me to speak to him because of how bad it was in hopes to calm him. They would remove him from the class and send him with the director who he had no idea of, in order for the teacher to just continue to teach. It obviously would get bad for any child to go with a stranger. They would then call me to pick him early. I tried to reach out to his teacher multiple times throughout the year in terms of communication and it was extremely poor. The only time I'd get good communication would be if they wanted me to pick him up early ( also stressful for a working parent). In the end, the new director spoke to us and we decided it best to withdraw him. I reached out to teacher to get in touch as to what the heck happened but she wouldn't respond until the director intervened. HORRIBLE SCHOOL and HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Do not send your kid here unless he or she knows how to fully speak and even then, they could care less about your child. I was told to ask his doctor about separation anxiety lol. I'm convinced something happened there because he went to a new school shortly after and was thriving. Unfortunately I won't ever know what since my son couldn't properly speak and the teacher was terrible in terms of communicating.
