When Amy refused to give me a refund for the weeks we were not going to be coming any longer I asked to speak to the owner, after refusing to call him several times she finally decided to call him and said to me "you know what your a real pain." Apparently their policy states absolutely no refunds even when your child is in danger. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else!

I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

They also came to install a slop sink for my washer and a full home water filtration system with second faucet. All of this was completed in three days. Literally flawlessly and the guys were so accommodating, polite and helpful. STILL NO INCIDENT REPORT WAS MADE and the teacher said basically she has no clue what we were talking about but she would keep an eye out. At this point i was in contact with a few employees besides the teacher on a personal level who confirmed exactly what happened and what child was doing this behavior to multiple kids and it was not being handled properly. They refused to refund the security deposit, charged us an additional two weeks that the security should have covered, then called us for more money staring we didn't pay for two weeks prior to withdrawing our daughter (impossible, we have all bank statements). Ella from billing was supposed to contact us and never did. We were supposed to be supplied with the owners phone number and email, and it never was given to us. We pulled our child because the program was ran horribly, not because we just decided to. Our child was not being protected which means we should have got our security deposit back, not it basically stolen from us than trying to charge an additional month. This place will scheme you right out of your money, take advantage of children's speech delays, and not take proper protocol to protect your children. On top of safety issues there are health issues where protocol is not being followed. Kids who are sick are never sent home even if they have a fever, coughing, and snot running down there face. In three months we got the flu twice, RSV twice, and Covid once. So your child will be consistently ill. MULTIPLE issues coming from every department in this place. Keep ur child safe and healthy- skip kiddie academy. The second i pulled my daughter from this place and put into a different preschool program she started thriving instead of declining in every area. I could only assume they stopped doing incident reports because another child had 18 of them with bodily injuries and no one had any answers. This is illegal and god only knows what has happened to my child during this duration of time since nothing was ever reported.

As a NY state certified special education teacher, I was appalled by the feedback I was receiving and the staffs inability to provide solutions and/or interest in providing tier one behavior supports to ease my child's first experience in a "school" setting. In addition, I also contacted my child's pediatrician and "in house" social worker, who expressed similar concerns about this setting. Feel free to consider these components especially when sending your child for a first time experience. My child is heartbroken and can't understand why he is not welcomed back.
