Love their greeting cards. Defiantly a good place to go to get small and fun gifts for just about anyone.

It's organized by…read morecolor and theme so you really do have to look at everything because what you're looking for might be on a differently themed (colored) table than your initial thought. But it's a fun place and the gifting options are endless. I have a friend with a Christmas tree completely covered in food ornaments (former chef) and I found her an avocado toast ornament to add to her collection. Grabbed a Lizzie Post Weed Etiquette book for a former-debutante-current-stoner friend, and a bunch of other oddly specific items to fit my needs. All with a glass of champagne in hand and a smile on my face.

However, I thought I should say this. To start, this gift shop is absolutely adorable and has so many options. However, both times I have gone, the older woman that works there stands right behind me and watches me shop. The first time, I let it go because I understand I have tattoos up my arm and in this neighborhood that might not be common. But this time, I came with my husband who has gauges, and she stood right behind us and stared at us as we shopped again and it really made me uncomfortable. There were multiple people in the store and it felt as if she assumed we were stealing. Did not feel like she tried to hide it at all. The first time I was there I spent like 120 dollars and this time about 90. It really sucks because I like this shop but I don't appreciate being followed around.

I purchased plenty of air plants, aloe vera plants, etc., Angelica, the store's resident one-eyed cat is super cute. I fell in love with her instantly. I bought a really nice plant with a glass container as my first one. This was years ago; I wasn't experienced in keeping plants and ended up failing my first one. The staff, mainly Lynn, ended up attempting to revive my plant and kept care for about 2 weeks. I returned and she ended up giving me a new one. She taught me so much about plant food, sun exposure; I learned so much about plant care ever since. The Rosehouse has been featured on numerous websites, articles and they even have their very own Podcast: Up The Plants! Lynn shares what inspired her love of plants and Maurice talks about how one plant in particular ruined his dating life. Unfortunately, I only see about 3 active episodes, but this one can be useful to get in touch with your inner plant. Plus, it's witty and humorous. I love their summary of their podcast, nonetheless: "All Plant Everything. Why we love them? Where do they come from?, How do we take of them? We talk global traditional uses for medicine, spirituality, current trends and environmental implications. Come nerd out with us." The Rosehouse has mainly street parking and close to the Mutiny Information Café! I always made the tradition of visiting those 2 favorite shops of mine. The Rosehouse began delivering plants straight to your door, because of the temporary ban in store shopping. I really enjoyed walking inside Rosehouse, because of their classy vines, beautiful plant pots and unique species of plants: White Variegation Leaves, Snake Plants, Air Plants etc., just my favorite place to grow my collection! Thanks Lynn & Maurice.
