really fun individual sheets of wrapping paper :)
    Cathy B.

If you send a lot of snail mail and want fun stationary, this is a great place. They have beautiful cards, silly cards, witty cards, rude cards. In the front it's all cards and stationary--boxed and individuals. In the back it's crafty stuff for people that do paper arts. They also have tons of gift items. Right now there's tons of owl items--ornaments, stuffed owls, owl journals, ceramic owls. I like coming here for special cards and gift wrap sheets. They do sell rolls but you want to come here for gift wrap sheets. They're organized by color and have really fun and silly designs. For Christmas, I got blue sheets with an octopus wearing a Santa Hat. Ha! As far as pricing, there are some affordable cards, but most of the cards I've gotten have been individually priced at $5+. With customer service, they're really nice. It's usually 2-3 people working. It's a small store, so it gets a little annoying with how many times you get greeted and asked if you're okay. Other than that, yes, very nice during check out.

This is a great Paper Source location. Although brand new, the staff is already up to speed on the products and had live demonstrations of crafts going while I was there. There's something about walking into a brand new store -- the workers are bright-eyed and everything smells and looks perfect! I came to pick up some Christmas cards (everyone knows Paper Source has the best cards...) and they were well stocked and displayed. The store manager, Ali, came up to make sure I was doing OK and gave her opinion on the cards I was deciding between (nice touch!). With all of the displays, it does feel a bit more crowded than other locations, but I suppose you just have to work with what you're given. All in all a great addition to the other shops in the area. To keep my fiancee out of the Anthropologie next door will be the real trick....

Attended a washitape cardmaking workshop and learned many great tricks. Not to mention it was a great way to spend my Saturday morning with people who love stationery as much as I do. This is my second workshop with Paper Source (my first was in Walnut Street, Philly) and I highly recommend all of their workshops. The instructor, Emily (I hope I spelled your name right) was engaging, witty, and good with teaching us. I look forward to attend more workshops with ya'll. Just a suggestion, instead of a 10% coupon, can we have a loyalty card to collect points whenever we attend your workshops?

It was close to $100 for a unicorn mug for my kid, the smallest bunny I could find to paint, and two servings of custard. If you have multiple kids, just get the custard. They also complimented my painting in front of my kid which made her feel like her work wasn't as great. I will likely return bc my kid did enjoy it. But, please add more affordable options.

NOTE: REVIEW IS FOR THEIR FROZEN CUSTARD ONLY!!!…read more We were a bit surprised to see a homemade frozen custard shop INSIDE a paint-your-own-pottery place lol. So we approached the front entrance with trepidation, not knowing what to expect when we stepped inside. But sure enough, just inside the front entrance was the custard counter. We arrived on a late Friday afternoon, walking over from The Sandwich Shop a few blocks down Church (same side of the street and walking right past Rita's (!!)) after having a late sammie lunch (also our first time at The Sandwich Shop - read my review). We had spotted Kiln & Custard as we drove past it to get to the sandwich place and made a mental note to save room to try their custard as a cap-off to lunch. What a great location! Walkable anywhere from old town Vienna and the downtown area (nothing is really that far), tucked away one block off busy Maple Ave, surprisingly lots of great FREE street parking (on Church) but also right there in their small shopping center parking lot so it's truly not a pain-in-the-butt to head over and not have to stress about where to park. The guy serving the custard was also tending to customers doing pottery painting (not many when we arrived) - dunno how service is if you just come in for the custard and the place is packed (we saw that pottery customers had to ask the guy each time they wanted more paint which he portioned out for them...vs customers self-serving their own paint and colors in other paint-your-own places we've been to - with a single worker, I can imagine that could be a bottleneck problem if the pottery side is busy AND there's a line of custard customers waiting to be served). The frozen custard is DEEEEELICIOUS. You can definitely see as it's being scooped AND TASTE that it's housemade. SOOOOO GOOOD. Very creamy, soft, pliable, rich custard flavor and not too sweet. They offer 12 flavors - see my pics of the 2 display cases of custards. PRICES IMO ARE VERY REASONABLE. $2.85 for a kid's size, GENEROUS HEAVY HANDED PORTIONS (and who doesn't love THAT in this economy?!). I had the Vanilla Oreo and my friend had the Nutella - a perfect after-lunch dessert treat. TREMENDOUS! For the price, generous portion sizes, quality of the custard combined with its easily accessible location in Vienna and no hassle parking options, this could for sure be a destination frozen-treat shop when I'm in the Vienna area (which is fairly regularly). That good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop shop!!!

We were doing a little theme visit, arts and crafts. Earlier we made candles and then we headed to our afternoon reservation to make paint pottery at All Fired Up. Once we arrived we were instructed to pick out our piece we desired. We were seated at the front window, just the two if us. It was nice to sit with each other without others around. I chose two pieces, a topper for $13 and a strawberry container for I think $27. I felt the pricing was extremely reasonable especially since you used their glaze, they fire it, and they set up and clean up for you. They also offer a military discount, which handled around the cost of the tax. The staff were great. They were always making sure we were ok, without being to over the top. They kept things moving. . They do offer "private" parties and birthday parties. The set up was pretty nice, and quaint. There was a large table set in the back. While I was there there was two parties. Each party brought a cake and snacks. There are aprons available and an abundant selection of supplies available. It looks like they also do arts with glass. Parking can be tricky. So I suggest to leave time to navigate that, so you are not late for your appointment. We found street parking a few streets over. But, there was slot a lot where you paid.

We were instructed to pick out any item we wanted, and they even had simpler options for those of us who aren't as artistic. Once we made our selections, we were able to grab our colors and brushes and start painting. The two-hour time limit was very reasonable, and the staff did a great job checking in and reminding us of our time. After finishing, we wrote our names on the bottom, and the staff took care of the rest. They glaze your finished piece, and you can return in about a week to pick it up. The space is small and simple, but it's a great choice for anyone looking for a fun activity or planning a group event. I also found the prices to be very reasonable.

The store is immaculately designed. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a higher end boutique - but it's also not stuffy at all like some places. It's just highly curated with interesting unique products, and could be the absolute best place for stocking stuffers, small gifts, making a gift basket and also obviously splurging on yourself. I ended up getting some natural dog treats for the pup, and I almost splurged on some fancy balsamic vinegar. This splurge was for the pup, the next time I come in the splurge will be for me lol. Definitely worth stopping in. If you're someone who LOVES getting little treats and surprises for your friends and family this could be the perfect spot. The mix is eclectic and Kimi pointed out that they even sell this soap that was gifted to us for Latinx heritage month as it's a Latin owned soap company.
