I truly enjoyed this place. It was a fantastic meal but the 4 stars mean it's not perfect. Here's why: 1. Ideally this place would be great on the water. Eating on US-1, is a little dangerous to me. 2. MARGARITA menu- a bit pricey but worth it...IF the bartender makes it right. We ordered the same drink 2x and both tasted totally different. I had the Gloria and he as the pineapple jalapeño. Second one was great. First was blexx. 3. Our meals came out...at different times. I was almost done by the time his steak came out. No explanation just a "it will be out soon". At least she should have bought us a drink. 4. The guacamole: no taste. No flavor. Needed more like or salt or onion...something. I kept mixing with their salsa verde to flavor it up. 5. Waitress was good but criticized me for not liking heat or asking for the aji sauce on the side. I have my own preferences...don't judge. Worse dinner ever. Went early to avoid crowds. Sat outside where a bar was located and it was packed-no one masked. Another family of five kids were playing football and ping pong and letting the balls hit our table multiple times and no employee said a word. The food was bland and some inedible. Good food, Happy Hour prices are great. Nice bartender who made lovely drinks and was quick to see if we needed any. Management Staff seemed unfriendly. It was absolute bedlam busy on Tuesday night, with kids all over the place and nowhere to stand except by the bar while waiting for a table. Two male staff were obviously annoyed at us for this but they really could've given us the empty table which was there in the corner the whole time we were standing. Very cool vibes here. Loved the brussel sprout tacos! Their selection is very diverse! They had multiple vegan options which was awesome and the chicken taco was loaded to the brim with chicken. The quality of meats and veg were definitely organic and they even make their own habanero hot sauce which was fiery! The drinks are bit over priced but delicious! I had a strawberry mojito highly recommend! Great for dogs and kids again they even have a backyard area with games for the kiddos to run around and play! The parking is atrocious, there's nowhere to park if you don't luckily get a spot in the small parking lot, as businesses nearby will tow you if parked in their lots so you are SOL and can wait 20 mins or more to park. A little expensive. Limited menu. Limited parking. Only one beer on draft. No craft beers of at kind. 1/2 hour wait at 8pm on Sunday. Ambience is nice. Brisket nachoes were ok but too much chips and not enough brisket and not enough other toppings and $15. Chicken and gringo tocos are ok. Skirt streak tocos are good. Sweat corn is delicious. we were HUGE fans of Papas as it has. a great atmosphere. In the last 3 months the food has gone downhill. Gringo freedom was awesome (i think it had raisins) and now it is not good. This was a consensus across sevral families. they had a really good lime rice and that is gone. As well, the chicken taco has lost its good flavor. not sure if it is an ownership change or chef or what, but we used to go once or twice a week and now i can't drag my family in. oh well. You can always see a crowd when driving by this place, but I was curious if the hype was just cocktails or if the food was really good. I gave it a try a few weeks ago and have returned several times. Everything from fish tacos to yucca fries to queso dip has been fabulous. Drinks are great too. (Except the cucumber margarita - I really didn't like that one, but thankfully the server took it off my tab.) Never have I felt so disrespected and undervalued as a customer. I was in a party of 5, we waited over 2 hours for a table then preceded to see several large parties be seated before us. We politely complained about this, as it was getting very late and we were way over the estimated time. The hostess proceeded to call one of us a bitch. The manager got involved and spoke nastily to us - may I add that we are young girls in our early 20s and he is a large, older man. He denied that we had been waiting long and defended the worker for calling my friend a bitch. I have always loved Papichulos and look forward to going there, the thought of their food was all that was on my mind all day, we made sure to get there hours before close, and were never seated. New tony spot on US 1 near Tequesta....lots of people, all different ages....noisy rollicking nightspot ...long wait for a table...but fun and good food. Although I didn't enjoy the fish, which was whole when presented at table and fried which I did not realize.Skirt steak was husbands choice and that was delish.Nice owners. I was excited to see this place open and even more excited to pay a visit. Overall, I was not impressed with the food or the drinks. To be fair, my expectations were for a more authentic experience and quickly realized that this is geared towards the local demographics and population. Great place if you are looking for a cool ambiance but not for great food. I agree with a couple of other reviews suggesting bland food. It was rather tasteless for me. The street however did have some flavor. Guac was also okay at best. I also ordered the smoke and chill cocktail which tasted more like a Pratt scotch (Ardbeg) than a mezcal Rita... very light on Lime... I would have given it a 1 if not for the real great openness and welcoming vibe... hopefully just a bad day. Because I support local business, I'll give it another chance but for now, I'll stick to Calaveras and Rocco's. read more

This is my new favorite taco joint! It's a great place to come for some signature margaritas and some of the best tacos in town! The environment is very inviting with a ping pong table and corn hole in the back. I came and sat at the bar and was helped right away I had a fresh prince margarita which was made with freshly squeezed watermelon juice yummy! Their tacos tasted fresh and very filling. So my boy told me to this location after leaving completely dissatisfied from the Royal Palm location and OH MY LORD THIS WAS NOT IT! I'm sorry, the staff is great and full of life like the WPB location, but just like a dull knife, it doesn't cut it.
