Absolutely incredible food and even though the restaurant was right on the busy road - the open air concept and little patio made it feel like a fun hangout spot. I'd highly recommend the yuca fries. I had never had yuca before but they were so delicious and the sauces that came with were so tasty. I LOVED the gator taco and wished I wasn't so full from the fries and 25 minute wait in between apps and meal. My partner was head over heels for the coconut shrimp taco. Really cute spot with a good variety of different tacos. I got the gator and also fish tacos. I also got the grilled pineapple with tajin. It was good but the pineapple is served cold which was a surprise to me. The drinks we absolutely incredible and our server was really sweet. Wow. Fantastic tacos, super fun vibey atmosphere. Probably the best Al Pastor tacos I've ever had. Jace, one of the managers, came over and made sure we were doing fantastic (which we were). The queso here is very good. The servers are super friendly and pleasant. Their menu has some questionable names on it for their food options. I've been 2 times, both for the queso. Next time I'll remember to follow my gut and only have the queso. The tacos are only ok, although generous portions. I did have a donut for dessert and those are very good. Love it here! They have a bizarre coupon policy but the servers are always nice. This is a great place to bring kids and we visit often. Gator and Brussels sprout tacos are my favorite. PapiChulo Tacos is a fun place with a number of interesting and unusual tacos and some great margaritas. Although we ate in the air conditioned dining room, the outside patios are really inviting. The specialty margaritas are wonderful - try them. My favorite is the Pineapple Jalapeño - sweet and hot! The guacamole was excellent as a starter. Flavorful and rich, although their chips are a bit thin. The tacos are interesting: The unusual ones are "to die for." I had to try the Gator Taco - and it was great. It has an oriental flavor, not unlike General Tao's. The Coconut Shrimp Taco was also excellent - plenty of shrimp and the breading was not too thick. The sauce sweet without being overpowering. I'm not a fan of Brussel Sprouts, but the vegetarian taco was surprising. All of that said, "the usual" tacos, such as Carne Asada and Ground Beef, were just ordinary. **2 Stars** Papichula is just okay. The tacos are decent, but in South Florida, there are plenty of other spots offering superior options. The big draw seems to be the happy hour, but my experience with it was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server was slow, spent a lot of time with tables she knew, and it was almost impossible to get her attention for a beverage. By the time we could finally order a drink, we had to order a second round at the same time just to avoid another long wait. This level of inattentiveness made the experience frustrating. To top it off, my husband accidentally left his credit card there. When we called to have it put aside, we were put on hold for extended periods and then disconnected multiple times. After calling back three times and speaking to different people, we had the same frustrating experience. If you're looking for bad service and mediocre food, Papichula is the place for you. Otherwise, there are far better options in the area. read more

I was very disappointed. The location in Wellington is sooo much better!!! I started off with a pineapple jalapeño margarita and it was absolutely amazing!! However their drinks are not consistent.. the 2nd one was so strong and very little flavor, the 3rd one was all juice. (I never even told the server) Salsa was very watery no flavor, guac was ok, nothing great. tuna taco wrapped in lettuce was delicious, but hard to eat. Again it was Much better in Wellington Blackened Mahi taco was horrible.. it was so dry and flavorless, it was dryer than an over cooked chicken breast. I didn't even eat it The street corn which is what I was excited for the most was gross. The food here was so good. We came for the Tuesday happy hour and our meal was only around $50 + tip for chicken and cheese quesadilla, four drinks, four tacos, and a small corn side. I'd love to come back when the outside portion is open. They even have a ping pong table in the back. This place could feel cleaner though. The tables are very wet and the menus stick to everything. The parking lot is also way too small, so be sure to leave plenty of time to find parking. read more

This is theee most overrated and expensive taco Restaurant I have been to! Dont get caught up in the hype! Carnitas and Baja tacos were so dry I had to drink 2 beers to get them down! The guacamole is not table side and tasted like it was pre maid straight from Publix! The waitress said tortilla chips were homemade and it was obvious they were right out of bag. The guacamole here is amazing! Came here for a quick bite and absolutely looking forward to coming back! We went on a Saturday and the place was packed but we sat at the tables by the side of the restaurant and got a server right away. The guacamole and chips were perfect! We tried a few of their tacos and the margaritas. Delicious. Would definitely come back to try a few more items off the menu. If you're bringing your pup, just know you'll have to sit outside (completely fine but it gets hotttt). Overall, loved the food, loved the atmosphere and will be coming back for more.
