Delivery is terrible. The website is so poorly designed it's a joke, but the joke's on you.

Absolutely horrible company. Last year I was billed $550.00 for the the rental of two tanks, I immediately cancelled the account. Now i just recieved a notice from a collection company for a bill to pick up the tanks. I was never informed of this charge. Please do yourself a favor and use any other propane company . The following is my email to Paraco. After reading the other reviews, I can attest to the same issues as others. The waiting weeks for deliveries because they were only servicing customers without heat, the bullying tactics of their staff, the major cliff that we got dragged off of when Bay was bought out, the increase in fuel... On 6/19/2018 I call to cancel service as I am completely dissatisfied with the NON service since your purchase of Bay Fuel. Your rates doubled (exaggerated) what I typically pay and the automatic delivery is a joke! Today, your company made a delivery it should not have. The person that delivered the fuel drove on my newly seeded grass and opened up my rear gates where my dogs use for their area. The fencing was left open after he left and my dogs got out. It took over an hour to get them back and now I need to repair the grass. While on the phone with one of your reps, I brought up my issues with the service and price since your company bought Bay. I also discussed how I needed to chase my dogs down through the woods which backs up to a county park. I did not discuss the driver utilizing my newly seeded lawn as an extension of my driveway. As an employee in a company that dispatches 20 large trucks daily, I'm offended that this would even be a consideration on part of your driver. This is another example of poor practice by your company. As I mentioned earlier, I called to cancel a few days back and the gentleman I spoke with today assured me that this was the case. He told me that I would not have to pay for the fuel as you weigh the tank to determine how much we used. I asked for the tank to be picked up after next Friday and I was told there would be a service fee for the pickup. My agreement with Bay did not have a "service Fee" when I signed up with them, I do not expect to be responsible for one just because your company decided to arbitrarily add one after you purchased their company. Even so, not only did your company just cost me time at work for having to chase down my dogs, I am also left with correcting some minor landscaping issues due to a complete lack of consideration. I will kindly forward you a bill for the minor landscape work if you would like to charge me for a "service Fee" that was never disclosed prior to today. Please let me know how you would like to proceed? Also, please refine your estimated pick up time from "any time after Friday" to a more professionally scheduled time frame. I will not have another tank in place before then. Your company does not have permission to just show up and open my fence when you feel it is at your best convenience. Your delivery driver is quite lucky we did not leave the pet door open today since I canceled the service! My Pitbull's do not greet people well when I'm not home! read more

Paraco is expensive and they charge for picking up their own tank. They charge for every little thing. Their excuse is we have to make money. We had one small tank filled up once per year used for cooking; last year it cost us over $200. I canceled their lease and they charge $150 to pick up their own tank. What a terrible company. Paraco Gas is the worst Co I have dealt with, they bought out Bay Gas. We ordered online when our tank was at 20%. I called 3 days later, and spoke to a rep ( after being on hold for 20+ minutes) to find out they have a ticket for a delivery....but not sure when..she put me on hold 2 times and than disconnected me. tried the chat online service to no avail. called again monday, hold for 20+ minutes, spoke to a seemingly helpful person, explained we were now running out and have a disabled person at home, She supposedly couldn't reach dispatch, but promised to call me back with update. I called another company ( Ideal Gas) and received a delivery the next day. Still have not received a call back. And now after 8 days from the initial order date, they showed up. When I Switched gas companies I found out that I could not get another tank installed because I had three existing violations. This is very interesting since Paraco charged me After the fact to do a safety Inspection. Before I could get another gas tank installed I had to correct these federal law violations. Once again I was charged by Perego and apparently it was for nothing because their safety inspection did not find the safety violations. I had the work done on my house and I now have another gas company that at least I know is looking out for my safety. Do not use Paracle they are a total and complete rip off and dishonest company. read more

I work at a business and we don't have a choice of who drops off liquid propane but I'm glad it's Brian k. from paraco. He's always quick and efficient and it's refreshing dealing with a nice person every once and a while. read more

During the blizzard last Thursday 2/9, we ran out of propane..... I called at 8am the next day to request for a delivery. The woman on the phone was shocked that we ran out since our next scheduled delivery date in their system was 4/29. She said she would have someone call me. 1:30 p.m. came around and I still hadn't received a call. Normally, I wouldn't be so frantic, however I recently had a baby and we needed to use our gas stove to boil water for the milk. I went on their website and tried out their live chat. I chatted with Lisa and told her I really needed a delivery SAME day. She asked me to hang on a moment so she could speak to the Dispatcher. Guess what!??! She informed me that we would get a delivery the same day, after 4:30 p.m. and WE DID! The guy arrived around 6PM. He was nice. He also came into the house to check and make sure the stove worked. Excellent service. I called to get A contract with Paraco since we-just moved into a New Home and our stove is propane/gas fueled. They told me call them the morning of my appointment date for a after check and they would give me a window time frame. I was told between 11am and 2:00 pm. I figured not bad better then super late in the day. Well that morning I called at 9:15 and was told 11am-2pm. Less then 30 minutes passed and Kevin my Service repair man calls me says he is on his way and would be there in five minutes because he was freezing and needed more Coffee. Anyone who can't relate to that just makes me laugh, Well he explained our tanks were older almost near their expiration date and how he could install free of charge one large barrel tank filled at no cost to myself. We'' bingo for me I heard no charge " I wanted to say OK Sign me up" LOL Instead I said absolutely as long as this tank swap wasn't going to cost me a small fortune. Thank you again Kevin. M. I did not start with this company - the company I was using and had zero issues with was Island Propane - but they were bought out by Paraco Gas now I have nothing but increased fees. Now they say they are going to charge me a fee for the tank (which was installed by Island Propane originally) because I am not using enough gas - this is for my clothing dryer and for cooking for a small family. DEFINITELY switching though I am sure it will cost me (since they just filled the tank) and I'm sure they have other FEES to end the account - one which I never signed up for. It just landed on their doorstep and I had no options. read more

Paraco gas are thieves and extortionists. Every time I called to request a delivery of propane, they came up with a new balance, fee or late charge! Trying to charge me $512 to refill tanks I use for a 4 burner stove top! Rude and unprofessional staff who use bullying techniques to get money. Outrageous! well late this afternoon we finally got a delivery and to be very frank I was taken back by the bill for the propane which is about $.53 more per gallon than Bay Gas. I will call a couple of gas companies tomorrow to see their pricing. then I'm reporting them to NYS for price gouging. I will definitely be changing to another company. This is a horrible company. Do NOT use them! They charge ridiculous fees yearly for tanks and when I decided to not use propane anymore they said they would come and remove the gas lines and the tank. Then when I actually scheduled the appointment, they said that their rep I spoke to is not there anymore and gave me mis-information and they will only remove tank and not lines. So I had to find and pay a plumber. Then a week later I received a bill for $326.20 which they never told me about and the tank they took out was at 80% capacity with propane which they never said they would credit me with. My first delivery got all messed up sales person never put order through so morning if they tell you to call to get accurate time frame of delivery I called and no order was put threw finally got a delivery 2 weeks and a day later then today with no knock at my door I see a guy by my tank so I go out there and he is shutting it off because previous homeowners canceled their service I been in the house for 6 months they knew I just bought house because they had to do safety check for new homeowner before delivery had my tank filled and still nobody in company realized that me the new homeowner already set up a new account for them not to shut gas and what company goes to a house unannounced without knocking on the door horrible horrible experience and last thing I called at least 5 times and asked for a manager they never come to the phone and NEVER call back either read more

I used Paraco for my propane as that is what the previous homeowner had. When I opened up my own account, they stated they would not make deliveries until my plumbing was up to code; meanwhile,they delivered to the previous homeowner for 10+ years with the same setup. They recommended two companies (MR FAUCET in Farmingdale, and RMS Mechanical in Islandia) that they work with to have the plumbing work done, yet neither one would return my phone calls. I called my Paraco sales rep who tried calling on my behalf. My rep told me they would call me by the end of the day; I got nothing. SIX WEEKS LATER, one of the plumbers finally called me back, but by that time I already had switched propane companies. read more

DO NOT consider using this company. They do nothing but raise the price each and every time you place a reorder. I used to pay $2.65/gallon. It is now $4.17. Their only explanation is that the price is based on my usage. Doesn't help to plead your case to the supervisor, or that you are a long time customer with no issues, they won't budge. It's really sad, especially during the Covid crisis that they are treating their customers this way. I will definitely be severing ties with them shortly. read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with. My heater which I bought from them broke. I call for service and tell them the name and type of heater it is. They send a technician a few days later. The technician walks in the door and says they don't service that kind of heater. So he leaves and they bill me for over a hundred dollars for the service call. A few days later they show up to fill the tank which was already full since the heater doesn't work. Somehow they manage to put some propane in the tank and bill be for that. I still don't have heat but I have bills. Customer service is a joke at best. read more

This is the most backwards company I ever dealt with. From the sales process to the installation to the service to the delivery it is one issue after the other. Nothing they do is logical and in line with other service providers that I use. No manager to talk to after 3PM, not sure who is running the ship. read more

I have been waiting for 3 days for a propane delivery. I called on Saturday February 3rd at 10 am and was told up 3 days for a delivery. I told the person on the phone that I was down to 2% and used the gas to heat my family room. I since have called on Monday, Tuesday and today (wednesday). Each time I asked when to expect a delivery but they could not tell me. I was also told someone from the company would call me within 24 hours. No one from the company has call yet. This company is poorly run and they don't seem to care much about their customers. I have been with them for 7 years but will now look for another propane provider to deliver to my house. I would discourage anyone from using this company. I would have give zero stars but that was not an option. read more

I'm only giving one star because there is no option for none. They sent notice to a collection agency for a house I haven't owned in more then 12 years. I had notified Bay Gas the previous company to remove my name when I moved, but the current tenants did not pay so they are harassing me. Their records show they were notified by the current owner last October to only accept COD deliveries, but they accepted a check without it clearing before delivery. They refuse to give me documentation to show why I am responsible. Obviously they can't, since I've never dealt with their company and will be sure to tell everyone I can to switch. read more

I have never been more annoyed with a company than this one. First of all the worse customer service I have ever experienced. My stove stopped working on a Saturday afternoon. I called Paraco and spoke with an answering service. I had no outstanding bill and explained that to the answering service. They refused to come for a same day delivery even though they had failed to make a deliver in 6 months. I was then told that if I wanted a delivery over the weekend they would charge me $199 fee for an "emergency delivery" even though THEY HAD FAILED to send a delivery properly. If there was an outstanding balance or issue with my account I would completely understand. The "answering service" couldn't even access my account to help. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You will be very disappointed by the care for their customers. Please do yourselves a favor and find a different company. In the past I have had to deal with angry staff and annoyed technicians. I've finally had enough and am finding another provider. read more
