I am surprised, even shocked by the poor reviews. I have relied on Paraco for years. It has been consistently excellent. The most recent episode was during the serious storm damage Eversource suffered about a month ago. We were relying on our generator; I was concerned about our fuel level because it looked like it was going to be (and was) a multi-day loss of power. Paraco immediately made a delivery, on a Sunday morning. We have used Paraco as well to help with our propane fireplace; they folks--Jerry specifically--were great. I don't think, in 12 years, I have had a single bad experience with Paraco. read more

PARACO has told me for more than a month they cannot pick up their tank, which has been disconnected, and that they have no idea of when a truck will be available in the area. "It can be two days, two weeks, or two months". They would not give me an idea when they would be in the area. That is frankly Bullshit. They have schedules for monthly refills which you can opt into. On top of this, their prices are incredibly high, which is why I was forced out of using propane. Their score on Yelp is clearly an indication that PARACO does not give a shit about customer service. read more

Don't even waste your time with Paraco. I have had nothing but issues from the beginning. Paraco will sell you a bill of goods and not delivery on their product and service. In the beginning Paraco would just show up randomly. Sometimes @ 40 or 50% and charge a delivery fee on top of the propane charge. I called and explained my concern and Paraco recommended changing my account to "Will Call" for more accuracy. Paraco recommended calling when at 30%. It's been one week since scheduling a delivery and I still have not received delivery. In all I was told that I was not a priority customer because I do not heat my house with propane . This statement is not accurate, I do use propane for heating for the back of my house. Propane is dedicated to my cooking as well as a direct vent stove for heating. I have called 4 times, every time that I have called I had to wait 20-30 min just to get through. As of today Paraco cannot give me a timeline for delivery and are now asking for me to wait up to another week. Every time I call I get a different story. Red alert don't be fooled by an illegitimate business. Paraco should not be allowed to operate and run a business that does not hold up to their promise. read more

Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my lifetime and I am 84 yrs old. The staff are petty, small minded, and totally incompetent. And they don't listen to the customers nor do they act upon any agreements, contracts, or complaints. I had problems with them immediately when they took over Consumer's Propane business in June, 2025. It was so bad that I decided to switch companies. As a result, I told them to remove me from automatic delivery as I want to drain the tanks before moving onto a new company. Yet, I had to contact them 3 times before they finally removed the automatic delivery status. And, even though this was noted on their company account, they still chose to ignore it and did an automatic delivery anyway in the Fall. I was very upset by this but they totally ignored my feelings. The price they charged me was much higher than what the new company was going to charge me. Finally, in November, Kelly tel me to say she would help me by having the Tanks removed immediately after I switched over to a new company and she would credit the remaining propane back to me. In December, 2025, when the tanks were at 30%, I switched companies. But when I tried reaching Kelly, Customer Service personnel absolutely refused to put the call thru to Kelly. They said they would handle picking up the tanks. It's now May 15, 2026 and the tanks haven't been removed six months later. When I keep calling to ask for Kelly, they become extremely petty and start playing head games with me. I believe they are relishing my misery over this. And are enjoying every minute. So I don't recommend anybody doing business with this company and the childish, totally irresponsible customer service staff. At different times, I spoke to both male and females to no avail. I assume they don't want me to contact Kelly because she would immediately solve this issue and be nice to me. I doubt they will credit the left over propane to my account. Paraco, Great White Propane, or whatever they want to call themselves.... has left my family and I (including a one year old baby) without heat over Christmas, and I'm shocked at how poorly this was handled. On Christmas Eve I was told that the credit card they had on file was rejected -- even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I then made a payment using that exact same card. Paraco was at my house the day before and, instead of knocking or giving me a heads-up, they left my tank at 7% and drove off. Now I'm being told they'll "see what they can do," but "can't promise anything," meaning I may be without heat for 2-3 days. Calling the 631 number routes you to Kingston, NY, so you're not even dealing with a local office. Despite explaining everything and asking for urgent help, no one has taken responsibility or resolved the issue. This experience has been stressful, frustrating, and totally unacceptable. read more

This was my second call ever to Paraco, and I almost imploded on the CSR...when I explained that their tech was just here (3 days ago), and we do not need gas; he started mansplaining how dangerous propane was and that if we didn't continue with auto delivery, and only call in for gas that we'd have a $200 service charge for them to check tank before adding propane (this was repeated a few times) While his voice was calm, his lack of respect in tone was infuriating. All he had to say was,"ok, I will cancel the delivery; for safety please let us know when it is at 30%" instead he continued to patronize my request with how dangerous gas is, and that I needed to listen to him...until I put him on speaker with my husband, then it was ok, I'll cancel delivery...needless to say, I cannot wait to cancel their business, it's coming! back story NOV we bought a home (paid at settlement for a full tank) assumed we were good to go (gas is only for a cook stove); we do not live there, we went to home 2 weeks ago (APR) and our propane tank was locked. The worst ever. They wouldn't deliver bc there was snow on my lawn.... in January/February on Long Island. The driver came 2x amd decided the few inches of snow spanning roughly 20 feet from the street was too treacherous. I called CoD and they were happy to deliver and were able to traverse the frozen tundra no problem. Im now with Petro.... .30c cheaper and $500 credit to join. And they deliver IN WINTER! The worst gas company in the world. If I can give a ZERO star that's what they'll get. I've been with this company since 2021. When I purchased the house. Has gotten worst the last few years. A Schedule delivery paid in advance with no show/ no gas. Luckily I had electric heaters. So my pipes wouldn't freeze. The last two years have been the worst! Overpriced !! I finally left to another company that's cheaper. The connections done with Paraco on the 3 tanks & backup generator weren't to code. I had to pay for the parts & labor. However, the best $ spent. Firstly, they're overpriced. However, my complaint is about their customer account site. It NEVER works. They changed it around about a year ago, but when you sign in to review account info there's nothing there that's more recent on the account and only older transactions can be viewed. Criminal organization. I cancelled service with them in January after they failed to come deliver gas on our new home. They claimed they were backed up on requests due to the cold and we needed a "safety inspection" (for a fee of course) that would take a few weeks to be scheduled. Nevermind they've been servicing the house for years with the previous owner and same tank, same everything. As a result my wife and 14-month-old son spent our Christmas break trying to keep a fire going and our pipes from freezing. Repeated requests for service were ignored despite the severity of our situation. Fast forward five months later I have a new servicer (Bottini Fuel) that picks up the phone and does what we ask. Only problem is - Paraco's tank is still in our yard! Ive called repeatedly and same issue - they promise someone will come. We wait. They never show. zero stars for me, but they made me give them one. I have been a customer since they took over audell bennett propane, I have had the same tank since 1997 with no issues. I got an email on 12/3 saying that I now was getting a maintenance charge of 140.00. I called today and the CS women stated that they have to charge that to maintain the equipment, I said the equipment that has been on my property for 28 years with no issues and no maintenance. She said when they fill it up, they visual check the tank, I laughed and said that is worth a 140. charge, she said yes and then she said I am also getting charged a higher price bc I don't use a lot of propane. So I said again no maintenance and but I'm getting charged and no I'm getting charged bc I don't use enough propane. So I again explained that I have been a customer for over 26 years and that I was going to look at other places and she stated ok fine you can do that, but we are going to charge you 200 to disconnect your tank. I said we have no signed service agreement stating any of these things you are talk about to me, and she stated we don't need it, either you pay of we take tank. LOL, OOOOKKKKKKK. Paraco Gas service to Southampton is horrible. Avoid them. We just purchased a residential property in Southampton and based on the recommendations of the previous owner, we continued the service. Despite giving them 5-6 days notice, they do not come on time to refill the tank. I have run empty and needed emergency fills three times so far and then they charge me extra fees. They promise to come they never show up. When I call, they say they will come and they still don't come. Their operators are poorly turned and have zero customer service skills. AVOID THIS COMPANY. If you are purchasing a new house which was previously serviced by Paraco, tell them to come an pick up their tanks and equipment and use any other propane companies. I would give them a negative star if that was an option. read more

Paraco - don't bother responding - I'll be calling you. Don't worry, you've been replaced with $37 worth of parts and two 20lb cylinders. That is how useless your service is. I have a stove. It came with the house. I transferred the previous owner's account to my name, at which point I started paying for automatic delivery. Then realized Paraco charges close to 2.5x the going rate for propane. When I asked about this at my last refill on 1/4/2022 (yes, 2022), I was told it was because I *only* had a 100lb tank, and if I wanted a bigger tank they could lower my rate. At this point, I was only on auto-refill to save leasing money, so I told them to discontinue automatic refills, and they could come get the tank when it was empty. I honestly didn't think that it would last over a year and a half. *I also discontinued automatic billing.* A YEAR LATER, they send me a bill for tank lease (a year of cooking and the tank wasn't empty yet, but somehow I needed a bigger tank.) for $139. It says in big letters, "DO NOT PAY", your payment will be automatically processed. Surprising, seeing as I thought I had discontinued that. So, that was $139 that I didn't intend to part with, but whatever. Here we are in August, another 8 months on the same tank. And, without warning they just came and took the tank. I wasn't home, I received zero notice, and I wasn't behind on any bills, so I guess tomorrow I get to have an unpleasant phone call where I ask them just what in the heck they think they are doing? I don't care if the tank is stone cold empty. I paid for the year. The icing on this crappy cake is that I was paperless billing and as soon as they took the tank, they sent me a final invoice via email *WITH A CREDIT FOR THE PROPANE I ALREADY BOUGHT* and then *REMOVED MY ONLINE ACCESS* so I can't even go look at my bills to see where the screw up is. I'm piecing this together from invoices in my email. NONE of which are a late notice, disconnect notice, tank pickup notice. Last communication before this that wasn't spam email was February. I apparently will get a refund for the 5 gallons that were left in the tank. I will be demanding a refund for the tank lease. In the meantime, I kinda wanted to cook dinner tonight. I received a delivery and I always pay my bills shortly after I receive. I mailed a check two days after receiving and that same day received a call asking for payment on my voicemail. Since I mailed the check I disregarded. Then I got another bill so I checked my bank account and it was cashed. Are you people kidding me! One star is too much. When I first signed up I was offered a deal with no annual lease fee. Then the next year they charged us a lease fee. I had to show them documentation that the deal we signed was for no annual fee. At the beginning of this heating season they removed my tank with over $200 of gas in it without notifying me and then said I need to pay them an extra $129/yr to get the tank back. They said they notified me but multiple times I asked for a copy of the notification and there was no reply, then they sent me the first notification four months after they removed my tank. There was no notification on my Paraco web account, no email, no mail prior to removing my tank. I switched to local idealpropane.com which was cheaper with 100x better service. I am only taking the time to write this so other people do not make the same mistake. If I had more time I would report them to better business bureau. read more

I had a service man come out today by the name of Sean/Shawn I'm not very sure but he was absolutely amazing! Granted he was in Peekskill already but heading to an hour away for another service, got our call and took it and was here within the half an hour! it doesn't stop there, I live with my grandparents (80&88yrs) and their regulator was frozen solid making them unable to use the stove to cook, we would've went who knows how long without a stove until the frozen block melted in this weather, had it not been for our service guy! He went above and beyond to help me learn how to unfreeze the regulator and make sure the problem was fixed! and to prevent it from happening again.. today started off completely terrible but HE turned it all around for us. This company is the worst company in history of gas company. Terrible service and reliability. I needed a refill which they charged me 55 gallon to refill my 100 gallon tank. The service technician came and did a safety inspection, while doing the inspection he found the tank to be leaking. He replaced it with a temporary tank and stated " a service technician will deliver your tank tomorrow". He also stated " I have 50 gallons left in my tank" ok cool. Four days has past and I didn't get any phone calls for any delivery. I called them up and ask them when is my delivery? they didn't have anything scheduld to deliver my tank. They gave me a temporary tank which was way way smaller than my tank. She told me she'll send someone out to top off the temporary tank. They topped off the temporary tank and charged me 50 dollars (5.2 gallons,) and the next day not even 24hrs delivered my tank. The tank wasn't even full when they delivered it. it was at 20%. They have to come back again to refill the tank. They don't even want to credit me back 10.2 gallons and they charged me for a leaking tank. Please don't go with this company. P.S please don't go with this company. They're going to reply to this and state "email or call us to handle your service situation " which they ain't going to do anything but give you a run around. read more

Just called again. Cassie was unavailable and I got the same run-around. They'll call me back and I am promised fixed and adjustments to my account, but they never reflect. No one knows a history on my account and the service, sales, and customer service departments don't speak to each other. I've spoken to Debbie Scitorino, Carrie Burns, Cassandra, Adonis, and others... no one can resolve this for me and I'm regularly promised that I will get a call back and then the next person I'm transferred to has no idea and claims no responsibility. NEVER USE PARACO GAS! I've waited for them to return my phone calls for over a month. They literally left me out in the cold. I started a new account and on the first refill they disconnected (unplumbed) the tanks from my house and locked them because I wasn't home. They never called me once while disconnecting and only notified me via emailed invoice memo notes that they'd cut off my heat & hot water source while I was headed to visit family out of state. I've called them back weekly and no one can give me a straight answer - I always hear that it's someone else's problem and someone else's department and they'll call me back the next day. They cut both the water and sewer lines. They broke the law and never called 811 for markouts. On top of that they would not pay for repairs. The contract said they would fill tank. Paraco took over Great White Propane that I was a customer of for 6 years... Their customer service is poor...I have asked 4 different times if Paraco has a monthly budget plan. I started 5 weeks ago before the 1st delivery of gas. Each time I called they said they would elevate the question...no one has ever answered the question. Got my 1st invoice today and I just paid it. Another issue is the original 2 large tanks were never installed on level ground so they were leaning into my shed which in turn damaged the siding. I've called on that 3 times to see if they will replace the siding where the damage is. It's been since 11/21/22 that I sent in pics of the damaged. I won't hold my breath but Paraco took over the original company and customers so they should fix it. Not starting off well with Paraco...we shall see how this goes...I would pay .10 cents a gallon more if I could get good customer service. read more

I noticed a pending charge on my credit card that they had on file. When I called, the girl in the billing department informed me that I exceeded the amount I pre purchased by 48 pounds and they delivered at their current rate of $5.33 (do the math they charged me almost $500 for 48 pounds). When I asked how thats possible, she told me, "Well it was a very cold winter". Here's my response to their theory that I used 250 lbs of propane more this year than I have in the last 13 years because as they said, "Well it was a very cold winter". Weather service literally says it was warmer than average, google it. First, they never contacted me to tell me I was exceeding my contract. You just delivered and charged me what you wanted. Apparently these companies are under no obligation to inform you when you've reached the amount you pre-bought, and I can understand how that benefits them. In researching prices in the area, I'm finding $2-$3. I honestly feel I've been scammed by their company and I'm in the process of finding another, so they will be able to remove their tanks soon and reimburse me for the unused propane at the amount they charged me for it, for their restocking fee, obviously, they need to find ways to take more money. But, I will not give them another year to do this to me again. read more

Recently signed up with Paraco. Had a "safety check" for $90. Told the tech I smelled propane in the kitchen and he said he didn't and didn't bother testing. Turns out there was a leak at the stove. This company is top expensive. They say they have a system where they can help keep cost down by monitoring the usage. I recieved a 475 dollar bill. I am not sure how this is calculated when it's is me and one other person in the home. Why is this bill so high. And we are not at home during the week because we work and go to school. While friendly and sympathetic on the phone, I have had no heat for more than two full weeks kicked off by the fact they they were late on a refill. No sense of urgency. The empty line contributed to a larger failure. No matter how many times I call, I get essentially no communication from their management team unless I call them first. And, no matter how many times I reaffirm that they have my phone number. I have been running space heaters to avert a major disaster. They ordered the wrong part number and I have still not heard what happened or how they intend to repair it or timing. I am so disappointed. My home is at risk and I feel so unsupported.
