Steven was incredibly patient while I spoke with my doctor, showed genuine empathy and compassion, and somehow turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one that was comfortable and even enjoyable. It was difficult to hide my sadness, yet Steven had a remarkable ability to make me smile naturally. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful. Even though it was a professional headshot session, one candid photo of me with a genuine, natural laugh touched my heart. The power a well-taken photo has to bring back nostalgia or invoke a set of emotions cannot be overstated. That being said, Melissa has a wonderful eye for capturing the special moments that showcase the moment and event. We booked Melissa as our engagement photo and wedding photographer for our small COVID mini-elopement. We wanted to find someone that didn't have photos that were too posed or staged as we ourselves don't take many photos to begin with. We wanted more candid shots that still made us look good and captured the essence of our relationship. Suffice to say out of the almost 100 photos we received from our engagement shoot and the 200+ photos from our mini-elopement, I am still having a hard time picking my favorites! Melissa is extremely friendly and personable, but still maintains a high level of professionalism.
