Like most…read moreteens today, my daughter has only really used her iPhone to take photos, but got very interested in real cameras after a fashion internship. Jamie arrived with her Canon DSLR and a full complement of lenses, and proceeded to show my daughter the difference between the lenses, what you achieve by using them, and how to operate a real camera that has a world of settings and possibilities. Jamie was friendly, gregarious, open and welcoming, and she held my daughter's attention for the full 2 hours of the lesson. Her website says she also holds group lessons, and I have to imagine those would be great as well. I didn't use Jamie's services as a photographer, so I can't really speak to her work as such, but based on our experience with her, Jamie will be my first call when I do need a photographer -- I have to imagine she handles a crowd well, and maneuvers adeptly through an event... hearing what she said to my daughter about what to shoot, when and how, I trust her instincts and I'm certain her work will be superior.

She took all the money before the session started and totally dumped our rare, once-in-a-lifetime family gathering, including our daughter's first photo shoot. The photographer promised delivery within three weeks but has since ignored all calls and emails. It's been 40 days, and we've received nothing. She knew exactly how to swaddle and pose him, while Steve was a true artisan with the camera. Steve captured the most expressive shots at all the right angles. Beverly and Steve were also very receptive to our requests! My husband is a rock climber, so we wanted to create a couple of newborn pictures that included his climbing gear. Beverly made it come together so beautifully! Steve and Beverly were also patient and kind about newborn messes (spraying during diaper changes, spit up after feeding, etc.). They've seen it all (they are parents themselves), and the mess doesn't faze them. In addition, they gave some great advice to ease my anxieties as a first-time mom.
