Nestled in the town of Milliken, this small shop is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. My husband and I were driving through and decided to stop for a treat. Upon entering the front door, there was a trivia question on a white board. The prize for answering the question correctly was 25 cents off your ice cream. The question: "Where did Indiana Jones get the name Indiana?" It's a cute way to interact with customers, and my husband and I knew it right away. There are various lights and a map on the wall where you can mark where you're from, adding to the interactive experience. There's even a TV with Mario Kart available for some play time with your snack. The shop is quite small, but there were plenty of options. I settled on a small scoop of peanut butter and a small scoop of cookies and cream, which were both delicious. My husband got a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of Colorado Trail, which is a play on Rocky Road. It was only an hour before closing on a fairly hot day, so unfortunately they were out of standard waffle cones and only had chocolate, but the plethora of toppings made up for it. From gummy bears to Heath bar to Reese's Pieces, there are options for everyone, including milkshakes. There is a candy section as well for candy by the pound, which added to the fun atmosphere. It's a basic family owned ice cream shop. The ice is good. They are fairly strict on the mask policies and only allowing a certain number of people inside. Half my party had to wait outside while the other half ordered and then we switch. No biggie, but it's hard when you have a large family with small children. We probably won't go back until Covid calms down. read more

Wanted to take my 4 year old nephew out for a special day, and I found Goobers in the area. I thought is sounded good by the reviews, but man, I was blown away by this place! I had mint chocolate chip and I could literally taste the freshness of the mint. My nephew loved that he could pick from fun toppings. Aside from the excellent ice cream, the atmosphere is phenomenal. We started off by playing Mario Bros on a big screen while sitting on a comfy couch. We ended our stay by playing Chutes and Ladders, Guess Who?, and Go Fish! The decor was eye catching and also fun for my buddy to Spy all the Potato Heads and small Star Wars figurines. This place is a hidden gem. We came here one time when we wanted to explore areas outside of downtown Fort Collins. It did not disappoint. Each time we have gotten their version of the Rocky Road Ice cream, it is called Colorado Trail. We usually get it in the waffle bowl. So yummy and unique! I took my grandkids there today. We all wore our masks and made certain we followed their directions posted on front door. We were looking at the flavors and my grandson put his hand on the lip of the outside case. The employee was very rude when he addressed my 4 yr old . " Get your hands off the glass" I GET IT. HOWEVER THEY WAY HE SPOKE TO HIM WAS RUDE. FUNNY THING IS I SAW ANOTHER REVIEW STATING THIS SAME ISSUE. Then telling me what my 2 yo what they can and can't get when I'm the one paying is unreal. This tells me that you do not address the issues your customers are having. Good ice cream is just ice cream when your customer service stinks. read more

What an amazing little ice cream shop!! We stopped by chance and we beyond impressed! Best ice cream I have had in years if not ever. My kids just loved it and they served the perfect amount of ice cream for each of us. I took my 11year old and 3 year old and I swear the owner knew exactly how much each of us would eat! We hate wasting food so it was just phenomenal! The owner chatted with all of us, including my 3 year old who is very hard to understand (speech delay). This is the best ice cream ever. We are so lucky to have goobers in our small town. The owner and his daughter are amazing ! The ice cream truly is home made and they have so many different kinds. It is always very clean and a fun atmosphere. They take the time to know there customers by first name basis and what the customer orders. Great homemade ice cream!! My favorite is the cake batter!! Just one of many flavors to pick from! Only down side is the prices are high which is my reason for the three stars. I think for an establishment like that they should not charge by the oz especially since they are the ones scooping the ice cream. Have a set charge for small, large, one scoop, two scoop, add ins, etc!! If it wasn't for the price we would go more often!! read more
