Very disappointed in this shops customer service. I made an appointment at 11am for 530pm. When I went into the shop, after sitting there for 5 minutes the guy cutting hair says "I can't cut your sons hair". I said I have an appointment and he proceeded to tell me I didn't make am appointment. When I asked to speak to the manager he said he's not there and he doesn't have his number. That heavy set man is the reason why I will never go there again! And after reading the incedent that happened last march where there was a fight outside between two men and one man had a needle and the health department was called on the shop for having open beer cans and garbage all around. I will never go in there again! What a mess! They need to learn cleanliness and respect for the customer. read more

I have been trying to find a decent barber to go to in Bayonne after recently moving from Pittsburgh and Paradise is the place to go. I received one of the best hair cuts and full beard style and trim for $15 bucks! Can't beat it. Walked right in, and was greeted at the door, no appointment. Alex was my barber and I will not be going anywhere else but Paradise from now on. The place is very chill and friendly. Thier attention to detail is top notch, Alex took his time and made sure I walked out of there with a clean/sharp hair cut. They have flat screens with sports center on. Unhappy with the cut. I went in there after seeing a sign saying Wednesday special 10 dollars. That being said I expected a mediocre haircut. So after I received just that a mediocre hair cut I hand the guy a 20 and he gives me 4 back. Normally I am also a decent tipper. So has he given me a 10 dollar haircut he probably would have gotten 14 or 15 and a return customer but instead he told me that it's only 10 dollars if I get one number buzzed on my whole head. Now for 16 bucks he could have used the straight razor to do the skin part my skin fade. Instead he used an electric shaver which irritated the heck out of my skin. Let's just say I left unhappy. So basically I hope that extra 6 dollars was worth me posting my experience. read more

If this review is too long for you! then in simple word IF YOU LOVE YOUR HAIR DO NOT GO THERE. If you do go there then do not expect Barbers but Carpenters. If you could not find a single a single BARBER shop in Bayonne and you had to go there then never ever get a hair cut from NELSON. Believe me you will regret both on his skills as a barber and his character as a human being. He does not have any manners, he curses, he is disrespectful, and his behavior with customers is terribly awful and bad. I am sure he is related to the owner, this is why he is still there. In every other descent business he should been fired by now. This place is horrible. I went there to get a hair cut. The supposedly barber (Nelson) who was playing some sort of game in the back of the shop with two other guys, pointed me to sit down in the chair once he is done with the game he will attend to me. However, as you do keep your expectation lower when visiting NJ, I asked him, whether they accept credit cards, customary to NJ, he replied from the back of the shop, No only cash. So I said I will be back. So I drove to the ATM to get some cash. I came back. He was still playing game. I said I have cash and would like a hair cut. Again he pointed to me to sit in the chair while he was playing the game. I sat in the chair, and after few minutes he came and asked me what type of hair cut I want. I told him I want short haircut, shorter on side but a bit longer on top, and pointed to 2 photos on the wall similar to these. He took a machine while his eyes were on the game board in the back, turned my face away from the mirror, and trimmed by whole head with zero point and turned me bald in seconds. When I turned my face I said, I was terrified, and said what you did? This is not what i told you. So he stopped, removed the apron, and start yelling this is like this photo. He said he is not going to give me a hair cut and start yelling and cursing. I told him shut your mouth. You cannot yell at me like this, your brain is still in that F**king game you never listened to me what I said. In meanwhile, the supposedly OWNER came and he said, he cannot bring back my hair and asked Mr. Nelson to stop cursing and return to his game. He assigned another guy who just finished what Nelson left halfway through and charged me $14. The whole time Nelson with the two other dudes in the back were saying something in Spanish which I did not understand but am sure he was cursing. A horrible and terrible experience - Now I will have to wait for 2 months so my hair grow again and resume going to SUPERCUT. At least they are clean and descent and if you are miss treated you can report to someone. This place is terrible, bad and I will never go there . read more

I love this place. I'm a woman with a very short cut and they treat me with dignity and respect and always give me a clean, careful haircut for a really good price. I've never made an appointment (but I usually go after work in the early part of the week). read more

the good barbers here your guaranteed to leave with a fresh cut m my barber there is alex & the last 3 times i went there my baber was not there so i let the open barbers cut my hair & that turned out horrible !!!! the 1st time my cut was un even , the 2nd time the guy pushed my hairline way back i had to grow my hair for weeks & the 3rd time ive had itt !!! the guy diddn even kno what he was doing i always get a dark caesar 1.5 or 2 for my waves this guy cuts my hair a 1 , its not dark at all , forgot to line up the back, front is crooked & he cuts most of my fckin waves out i had to tell the owner to finish my cut ! no wonder they got a new barber there everytime i go there im fcken done with this barbershop ! #very poor read more
