have been coming here for several years and several stylists there always do a great job (for me at least...), but my most recent visit will be my last. I waited 40 minutes with a check in (and yes.. I know the disclaimer about a BRIEF wait time - so like 5-10 minutes no big deal, but 40 is unacceptable). They had two people working and the place was absolutely PACKED. I mentioned this and was told "oh well... someone called out sick so everyone is waiting". no apology, no discount, nothing. I asked for contact information for a manager / franchise owner so I can talk to them versus being upset with the people working there (because poor staffing / planning is really a management problem), and was told they have been banned from giving the info out...which really says it all. Management simply doesn't care. Additionally, my wife went to get her haircut a few weeks ago and was unhappy with the results. Between this, today's experience and the fact that it now costs $26+ (not including tip!) for a standard haircut (I remember not too long ago it was like $11), I think it's time to forget supercuts. read more

How does a place this busy only schedule one stylist? Wait times are always super long even when you 'book ahead'

What a difference a different stylist can make. My daughter saw Kris again on Sunday, and she did an excellent job on her hair. My daughter's hair is very long and was subjected to a summer of swimming, sun and hair lightening products, as well as some flat ironing and curling irons. Kris took exceptional care of my daughter, cut her hair to even out some old problems, took off the dead ends, and made the kid look like a million bucks. I'm very happy with this stylist! The last one I saw I am glad I will never see again. read more

So disappointed! I went for refreshing highlights. I specifically said I wanted a caramel tone. What I got was red/pink. Nothing close to what I asked. I don't like to make anybody feel bad, I left the salon and was in tears. I could go to work like that so I bought box dye and just darkened my hair. When called today, was offered to get it fixed but the same hair stylist has to do it. No thanks! Why would I let the same person touch my hair? I paid over $200. That's not okay. I think I should be refunded because I didn't get what I asked for. read more

Do not go to this place. They are poorly trained and they did not listen to what the customer wanted. On top of a 20 min wait time before hand when only one person was in the store. I would not waste time or money with this place. Spend a little more and go to a real barber or salon. It will save you alot of heartache. read more

THOROUGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL I have been visiting this place for well over 3 years to get a haircut for me and my son. Yesterday I called them and took an appointment for my toddler for 6:15 PM. When I turned up after driving for 30 mins with my toddler son, the lady at the counter asked me to wait for 90-120 mins because she is coloring someones hair and that they dont take any appointments. Her way of supporting her nonsense is "I didnt answer your phone. One of my girls did and they must have given you the wrong info" This after I visit this place every month. Absolutely unprofessional people. There was a time when this place was good...Nowadays this place is nonsense. GO HERE TO BE AT THEIR MERCY Even the quality of the haircut has deteriorated over the past few months. The barbers have issues among themselves and keep talking nonsense about each other! read more

I had a great experience both times I came here. My first stylist was Crystal the manager who just so happened to have been an old friend of mine from my childhood! And I'm not just saying this but she's great stylist. Her blowouts rock! She's been doing hair for a really long time and you can tell she's very experienced. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. The second time I went in I had Kelsy. She was really sweet and gentle with my hair :) we talked the entire time which made for a comfortable experience and she answered all my questions. She also gave me a holiday discount because I bought a few hair products. Overall I will be returning. I like this place :) read more

They need more hairstylists the wait is way too long with only two workers here you wait at least an hour after your appointment time.

The ladies were very nice! I felt very welcome. I've been trying for over a year to get a specific haircut that I've had a picture of and every place I've been has left me unsatisfied. I've been to high end salons, Ulta and other chains. They were happy to help and bounced ideas of one another for how to give me the cut I've been wanting. & the price is RIGHT. I much prefer this place over Great Clips down the street. The decor seems more modern and I feel the hairstylists are better trained. I've never really loved ANY place that I've gotten my hair cut from but I'm least disappointed after visiting this place. I've been here twice and both times Guli cut my hair. First time was just a simple all around 6 and my beard blending into my sideburns. She did a great job and of course she recommended hair product. I did buy one though that really made my scalp feel cleaner and not as dry. It was the tea tree products which smell pretty good as well. 2nd time I went with my girlfriend and I let her decide how to cut it lol. I mean I don't/didn't have to return to work for a while so it'll grow in. Turned out to b a fohawk lol but came out really good. Bought a different product that a few guys said worked for hair that is thinning a bit and they said it worked pretty well so figured eh why not so let's see about that in a month or so. read more

She always informs me what's going on with my hair, gives suggestions on how to make my hair highlights last, and my style is always fresh! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! I've been coming here since we moved to Bayonne a couple years ago and have had overall good experiences. Today I got a trim and a blowout with Destiny and she did a wonderful job. I need the flexibility to get my haircut on a moment's notice, and the check-in online and call-ahead options are great for minimizing wait time. read more

Just had my hair colored here today. I will be returning for my next touch up. I like the fact that I didn't need a appointment.

I got a decent cut here a couple of months ago. I went on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded. The haircut was fast and the hair stylist did a nice job on the fade- I have short hair. They try to get you to buy their salon products though, which I don't like. It's like your sitting in a chair, and the person has sharp objects close to your head. Got color done here once. I was so disappointed in the way it came out. My hair was blotchy and uneven. I also paid almost 300 dollars for it. Staff was nice but I'm pretty sure they had a team who hadn't been in the hair industry for awhile working on me. read more

The hairstylist named April had my daughter pull her hair down from her pony and hold it over her left shoulder felt her hair and said because she has long hair it will be $40 for a blowout and wash and $20 for a haircut. I said that should be fine. She went to the back was about to wash her hair and comes back and says no it's gonna be more than that. I said that is very unprofessional you looked at her evaluated how much and now u want more money. I asked the stylist"so how much do u want...$100?" She said well yes some places charge that. Wow---This is Supercuts not a five star salon?!!- The other stylist standing next to her was questioning why I was getting mad. I told her the situation and I asked her well how much would YOU charge for my daughters hair... she said I would personally charge 60-65 dollars. I said than what the heck is the problem I am willing to pay that!! The African American lady was rude and extremely unprofessional. The other girl Destiny was still professional and worked on my daughters hair bc she knew the other lady was being unreasonable. But Never going back again!!!!! read more

Worst experience of my life. I waited two and a half hours and came out looking worse than when I went in.

I was very happy at first. The girl did a WONDERFUL job with my eyebrows. But my hair is crooked!! I told the stylist and she said its just you. But I did my own hair today and the right side is way longer than the left. I look IDIOTIC!! I am going to see about filing a claim with the BBB because it was such a botched job. Also she washed my hair in that fancy tea tree shampoo and then charged me an extra $21 for it!! I am SO UNHAPPY!! Now I have to go to another salon and pay another bunch of money to fix this mess. TERRIBLE job! The girl was friendly and funny...and as I said she did an unbelievable job with my eyebrows...but my hair is botched and uneven. I now have it pulled back and dont dare take it off because it is so obvious! I want a refund!!! Anybody know how I contact the owner??? read more

This is my second time here, the first time I was in and out. Good haircut too. So I came back again. One person working on a Saturday morning and a line of people waiting. - Tried this Supercut, after reading other comments and it was a disappointment. Hair stylist understood little English, have no clue at all about hair cut basic technique. After repeatedly saying 5 times, don't make it short, she did whatever she wanted to do. Supposedly she is considered best hair stylist there, so I can imagine how others would be. I will probably never go there again. I went to get my hair wash and blow dried there a few weeks ago. I saw a listed price that included a trim also for $30, so I went for it. The girl didn't do a good job from the start. The wash was no good and she had a flare sleeve that was smacking me in the face the whole time. When she began drying my hair she didn't section it, so she was just trying to dry it without pulling it straight or aything. When she was done I have a frizzy fro on my head. She then plugged in her cheap ass straightener and used it to go over three spots and that was all. I felt bad to say anything so I figured I would just touch it up when I got home. When I went to pay she them rang me up for $55, when I asked why she told me cause you don't have normal hair. What????? She told me she had to blow dry it longer than normal to dry it and then when she saw my facial expression switched to and you also have Long and thick hair. Please give me a break...I have never had this problem before and if she knew what she was doing there wouldn't have been a problem. Left there so disappointed!!!! read more
