Our rating is a ZERO! Neil quoted us a fee of $50 + $20 for a late pick up (after 11) for our trip from Sarasota Airport to Anna Maria Island, plus gratuity. We gave the driver a $30 cash tip, and the next day he charged our credit card $80. When we called about the charge, he explained he added $10 for a gas surcharge. This was never explained to us but we accepted this. He said he made a mistake and will correct it. The next day he charged our credit card $117.50 plus a charge of $40 because our plane was delayed. We have called him three different times, he puts me on hold then says he made a mistake which he will correct. This went on for a week. I arranged round-trip transportation from Tampa International Airport to Anna Maria Island with Paradise Car Service. I received no email confirmation, so I called a few days before the trip to confirm and had a pleasant conversation with the owner. The driver picked us up on time and was kind and conversational. It was my understanding that he would be the driver for our return trip, but I may have misunderstood what he said. A couple of days before our return trip, I texted the driver (mistake) and asked for confirmation of the pick-up time. He asked for the address. On the day of pickup, I received a text from the company saying that a driver by another name was on his way. I assumed the first driver was unavailable and thought nothing of it. Twenty minutes after we left Anna Maria Island, I received a phone call from our resort manager because the first driver had arrived to pick us up. The resort manager described him as "a mess, very angry." When I spoke to the driver, he angrily demanded to know why I didn't text him that another driver had come. He yelled about money lost, a wasted trip, and finally hung up on me. The next day this driver texted me this message: "Do not call and book any transportation with me. i lost 150$ because yu make mees last Saturday." After receiving this text, I called Paradise and spoke to the owner Neil about the altercation. He noted that the first driver had made an error, and that the second driver was assigned to pick us up. As I was trying to explain the driver's anger, demands, and unprofessional behavior, Neil cut me off and said the driver was his good friend and would call him that day. He rushed me off the phone and gave no apology for the driver's behavior. I understand the driver's frustration, I would have been upset as well, but it was his fault for not using the system. I gave 2 stars ONLY because the second driver was wonderful and apologized for the unprofessional behavior of his co-worker. I will not be using this company again for rides, which is too bad, because the second driver was top-notch. I would NOT recommend this company for your transportation needs. read more

Unfortunately this service tries to charge 100% for a change of circumstance, they don't answer calls and then request their 3rd party drivers to call you on your personal number to try to persuade you to not cancel. then when you finally report them to your bank for fraud charges they find it funny. My husband and I have used this service from Sarasota to the Tampa Airport with opposite experiences. The first trip was priced correctly and the driver was safe, courteous and knowledgeable of the area; routes, traffic, etc. Unfortunately, we did not have the same driver for the next trip. He didn't seem to know the area at all, was offensive and insulting, and although we requested and paid for a town car, we were driven in a small sedan. He also kept asking if he needed to run our credit card. This seemed shady since we were required to provide that information when scheduling the ride. The positive is that he arrived 15 minutes early and we arrived at the airport on time. Paradise Car Service has the lowest rates we've been able to find. If we use them again, we will specifically request an experienced and professional driver. read more

I ordered a car to take two people from Siesta Key to Tampa - I was a little worried when I didn't receive a confirmation by email and the driver didn't text to let us know he was on the way, but no worries. Left stranded with a 20 month old at a beach which cost us $1400 in flight changes and hotel fees. I was suppose to be picked up at 3:30pm at the Beach Café on Anna Marie Island. Neil gave me the heads up that his driver may be 15min late due to traffic. I agreed that wouldn't be an issue since my flight was at 6:40 Timeline with Neil and the driver. 3:34 - Called to see if driver was getting close. Neil told me he would contact the driver and give me a call back. 3:37 - Neil calls me back saying the driver is 15min out. 4:07 - I call Neil asking where the driver is. He assures me he is within 3 miles 4:17 - I call again telling Neil the driver still hasn't shown. Again, he assures me the driver is a couple minutes away. He tells me the driver has tired to call me but a woman is picking up the phone. 4:21 - Driver calls and says he can't find my location but is close. I text him the address as well as directions. 4:24 - I call the driver to make sure he got my directions as he said he was only a few min away. 4:34 - Driver calls to tell me he is stuck on Golf Dr and that the traffic isn't moving. I asked why he is on Golf Dr if he came over Manatee Ave as he would drive straight through to my location. I explain to him the importance of catching the flight as it will cost me over 1000$ to cancel and book another flight. 4:36 - I call Neil asking what is going on as I was supposed to be at the airport by this time. He had nothing to say other then the driver is close. 5:06 - I call Neil, he is still surprised there is no driver. He tells me he will call the driver to find out. 5:09 - Neil calls back telling me the driver is not picking us up. I got upset with Neil explaining the cancellation and re-booking will cost me $1200 (by this time I have called Air Canada). He tells me that it won't cost that much. I asked if he had insurance for something like this, he explains he doesn't have any insurance but the driver's he hires has vehicle insurance. This blows my mind, I know it would be a far fetch for his insurance to cover my costs, but to find out his business isn't insured!??!?!? By this point I am mad. Neil explains to me the driver had to drop someone off at the North end of the Anna Marie Island, that is why the driver was in traffic. Neil then tells me the driver didn't pick me up because I told the driver he would pay for our cancellation and rebooking fees. BOLD lie, I know better than that to not threaten an employee over their boss's mistakes. The driver didn't do the booking. In the end I called about 15 different companies. All were busy or didn't have an infant car seat. AMI Taxi, Latitude 27 Limousine and Gold Star Limousine all were unreal with helping. They all got back to me and tried their best to get a vehicle for my family. In the end Gold Star had organized a ride for us which arrived at 7pm. We missed our flight obviously and had to find a hotel after not making the 920pm flight in Tampa. read more

I requested via email an "all-inclusive" quote specifically for a "6-person or larger stretch limo to accommodate 2 adults + luggage..." 2. He gives a low-ball, pressure tactic without bothering to F7-it: "The rate would be $200 Plus gratuit (i.e. the antithesis of "all-inclusive") cALL ME AT 941 356 3758" 3. His obvious used car salesman bait-&-switch tactic forces me to request vehicle confirmation. 4. Response: "The Vehicle is a black Chervrolet Suburban" - Curt, rude and spelled wrong. 5. I idiot-proof my request a 2nd time specifically for the 6-person stretch (as detailed on his company's website) at the $200+ gratuity price. He wasn't capable of grasping the "All-inclusive" concept the first time, so I stoop his level this time. 6. He says "No" & pontificates with grade school grammar "...for the number of passenger you're carrying.a stretch will not accommodate the luggage unless you are willing to put some bags in the car with you " 7. I reiterate "There'll only be 2 people..." A) Nonetheless, I explain I have experience traveling with my family of 5 in stretch limos for airport pickups and pretend to agree with his BS, B) I re-affirm my desire and acceptance for a 6-person stretch at a price higher than $200+, so D) For a 3rd time, I request in pain-staking detail a quote that'll be a win-win for both of us, explicitly rejecting his gas-guzzling, soccer-mom Suburban crap. I even give him my cell # to work it out. 8. Neil Haberman disappears after having spectacularly failed to provide the simplest information requested of him. Used for rides both to and from Tampa airport to Siesta key during Christmas vacation. Three stars because we did successfully get where we were going, on time, at a fair price, however, there is a good deal of room for improvement. First ride (picked up at TPA): Driver had a clean car and an empty trunk, making for a comfortable ride for me and my fiancée. I gave the operator my credit card over the phone in advance for the purpose of saving my vacation cash...for vacation. Upon arrival, we tipped the driver, and he then rudely insisted we pay the fare in cash, refused to call his office to straighten things out. Note for the future: don't tip the driver until they are about to leave... I was not billed twice, just a misunderstanding, but could have been avoided, or at least the driver could have been professional about it. Had to make an unnecessary trip to ATM to replenish vacation cash. Second ride: (back to TPA): I called the office the day before to change the pickup address. I was assured it was no problem, and mentioned the issued with the credit card and the first driver. Operator was professional and apologized for the misunderstanding. Sure enough, driver arrived at the wrong address the day of pickup. When he arrived at the correct address, he drove the wrong way through a one way street to get there... His car was so full of junk that we had difficulty fitting our luggage in his trunk and my fiancée and I couldn't sit together, one in the back seat, one in the front. And he was rude. But, he did succeed in understanding that my credit card was on file with the office for fare payment and getting to the airport on time. Overall, I found the office professional and helpful, rides on time, and pricing fair but border lining on high, and a little lack of communication between the office and the drivers. I also don't think it's too much to expect professional drivers to be polite and courteous, and keep their cars clean and trunks empty. I would use again, but hope things are a little smoother next time. read more

We have used this service for 20 plus years with wonderful reliability. Last year the driver, upon picking my son and family from Tampa, did not have car seats for 2 children under the age of 5, despite written confirmation of above. The driver was unprofessional, inattentive and the car was poorly maintained. After complaining, I was told the ride would be credited toward a future trip, so, this year, I gave the company a second chance. Confirmation was received by my son, for the pickup from Tampa by the driver, however the driver never showed up for a flight that arrived in Tampa at 11:00 pm stranding my son and his family. He was told that a driver could be there in 45 minutes...unacceptable!!! I had several other rides booked with this company and cancelled all of them. After speaking with Neal, the owner, I was assured that I would receive a refund for last year. Neal disconnected the call by rudely hanging up on my call. No refund was received. I will not use this company again. They lost a great deal of business from our family. read more

Of the 3 trips that I have had booked with them, the first they showed up and the driver was very nice, but there was no carseat (even though it had been requested and confirmed). The second trip there was an incorrect car seat, the car looked like it rolled fresh out of a junk yard, and the driver was on her phone, weaving in and out of traffic, and we felt unsafe. Fast forward to a year later when I get a confirmation from the same driver that she will be picking me up. I confirm that we didn't need car seats, but that we would see her at 10:30pm. After getting off of the plane, i sent multiple texts, then no response. I finally called and she told me that the driver was switched and she had no idea who was picking us up. I called Neil and he picked up the phone, told me not to worry, his other driver was there, and then 5 minutes later he called me to tell me that there was a mixup and his driver could be there in 45 minutes. I told him that I was not interested in that, given that it was now 11:15pm and I had 2 children that had been up all day. Terrible service, terrible management, and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I was left at the Tampa International Airport and had to find another means of transportation. The driver was "supposed" to pick my up at 8:45pm.....by the time I got home it was 1:30am. AND my card was charged for a ride I did not receive. When I called to complain, they made it seem as if it was MY FAULT. I was waiting outside of the arrivals area infront of the baggage claim DIRECTLY under the United placard. Their excuse was that they couldn't reach me even though they called my home and were told where to find me. They said I should have been available by phone... My battery DIED. In no place on their website do they explain how the pick up procedure works or that they will call you. There are NO pick up directions at all. The logical thing is for the person to be picked up, to wait infront of the baggage claim. Their driver never even PASSED BY. He was in the cell phone parking lot which I was 100% unaware of. It is incumbent on the service provider to clarify every step of the process and if not, to do the LOGICAL thing and drive to the arrivals area. Their excuse was that it was my bad for having a dead battery. Well, what happens if the person's phone was broken, stolen or if they don't HAVE A PHONE? There is nothing written on their website to that effect, zero contingencies for not being able to reach the passenger. You would THINK they would just drive by the baggage claim like the Uber and Lyft drivers were doing. In any event, Nick/Ned, or whatever his name is, was beyond rude. Absolutely horrible and blamed me for everything. Plus, they charged my card. Now I have to go through the hassle of contesting the charge. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! read more

I WOULD NEVER ( TRY) USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN. We called on a Sunday for a very early (4 AM) pickup to the Tampa airport on Wednesday. No problems on Sunday, we even received a confirmation email. We were told the driver would call or text ten minutes before arrival but that is cutting it way to close so we called on Tuesday to verify our plans and Neil told us he would contact the driver to get his phone number so we could talk to him directly. No phone call, no response to a text, no response to email, no response at all. Wednesday comes and we are anxiously waiting but they are a no show, no call and we could not get ahold of Neil (Surprise Surprise). DO NOT USE NEIL HABERMAN. We did call fast Eddie at 4:10 AM, he answered our plea for help and arrived in 20 minutes and got us to the airport so we did not miss our flight. Dave and Donna B. read more

Left us stranded at the Tampa Airport I would never use this company again for a number of reasons. I worked with Mr Neil Haberman and he lied to me no less than 3 times. I understand that people make mistakes but when we spoke with him in person he made excuses, lied some more, and made no effort to take responsibility for his mistakes. He told me he tracks incoming flights (he said our flight came in early, which was another reason the driver was late), he would have a driver there at 2pm, and when he gave the driver the incorrect arrival time, the wrong contact phone numbers, and we were left with no ride he blamed traffic. There was no traffic on the way to Tampa airport, we checked Google traffic. Mr Haberman had booked another client just before us which made our driver over 1.5 hours late. We suggested that maybe Mr Haberman could give us a 50% discount and he offered us "our next ride free". We told him we may never be back to Anna Maria Island so couldn't use a ride. He said we were out of luck that he gives no refunds, he "always gives the next ride free". read more

We will never, ever use these people again. Our niece and her family arrived from Boston to Tampa at 10.30 pm, exhausted. We'd told Neil, who answers the phone for this entity, three times that our address was on the South Bay side of AMI, NOT North Bay. Regardless, the driver who picked their family up refused to follow the directions we'd given them, and instead went to the North Bay side - and wouldn't turn around until they'd called and I'd spoken to him. (By the way, he talked, and talked, and talked, the entire ride, too.) For the return trip, which I'd booked for 3 pm several months ago, I called twice to verify pickup time and assure myself that would be long enough to get to Tampa with 2 hours to spare. I also called the morning of pickup and spoke to Neil, saying yet again that it was the SOUTH BAY address. Yes yes yes, all fixed in the system. (Why was it not correct in the first place, or fixed after the first mistake?) I asked again if 3 pm was enough time and he said pickup was at 3.15. No, I said, 3 pm. You confirmed it. He said he'd "change it to 3 pm". Nevertheless, after all of this, the driver went to the NORTH end of the island, and arrived at 20 minutes past. We were also very badly advised about the timing - do NOT trust them on this. The return trip to Tampa airport, on a weekday, took two hours, and between that and the driver going to the wrong address (again) and arriving late, they barely made their flight. I should have known how unprofessional they were when I couldn't hear Neil the first time I called until he went into a room where his dogs weren't barking. Same thing the last time. I love our dogs, but who runs a business where they bark so loudly that you can't even discuss a booking? I will never, ever use these people again. Don't trust them. read more

I would NEVER use this service again! Same bad experience. After waiting an hour, called Mr Haberman back and he said he was having issues getting in touch with the driver... really? We looked into renting a car at the airport and we were at the counter about to rent when the driver finally called. The information provided by the driver did not match what the owner said. When confronting the owner, he said the drivers lie to cover themselves. He offered a free NEXT ride, but I wouldn't trust my travel to his business when the company overbooked and told lies. read more

Used this service for the first and LAST time this past week for a ride to and from the Tampa airport. Car was quite old and obviously worn out and smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The driver was nice, however not dressed professionally. She was also not a good driver, swaying through traffic, switching lanes erratically, it was not safe. I was just hoping to get to my destination in one piece! I scheduled my pick up ride back to the airport and received my confirmation via email, however, my driver never showed up! No phone call, text or email back after several attempts. Mr. Haberman finally emailed me back A DAY LATER after I missed my flight, etc. etc... A little too little, a lot too late!
