We went to a private event at Paradise Cove. It was easy to find and has lots of close parking. The venue dinning area is large with a bar area and lots of tables and chairs and a small stage. The bathrooms were clean and had lots of extras for the women next to the sinks. The event had lined up 2 food trucks to eat at which worked very well, I'm guessing the venue has a menu also but not at our event. It would be a pretty place to have a wedding or reception. read more

This is a perfect wedding venue! Gorgeous setting, plenty of space to adapt to any plans and you can't beat the sunset on the lake. My daughter got married here on 3/15 and it was fantastic. Extremely reasonable rates, and for the value, it was exceptional. From the initial planning to rehearsal and final coordination, to the actual event from start to finish - everything went smoothly. Jay was a delight to work with and he was very accommodating. Ingrid was the wedding coordinator, and she was simply amazing. She was great at keeping everything moving smoothly and constantly adapted to our shifting timelines. Ingrid was flexible and respected how we wanted the event to unfold. She made it happen beautifully and was there to very end. We had our daughter's wedding here last month and it was just amazing! The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. We chose the full package with wedding coordinator, which I highly recommend! Tina was amazing, walking us through the entire process. She was very attentive and always answered our emails and phone calls promptly. One other thing we loved about Paradise Cove was the ability to choose our own vendors, unlike other places that force you to use there's. We were able to control our budget this way and still get the things we wanted. Tina was a wonderful resource to provide vendor info and help keep us on a planning timeline. They also provided almost everything we needed for the wedding & reception which saved a lot of time and money. All of the tables, chairs, table settings, dishes, silverware, many of the decorations were provided and set up by Tina and her team. We added a few touches of our own, which Tina happily put up as well so there was very little for us to do but focus on the bride and the bridal party. Contrary to another post, we knew exactly what we were expected to do to get our deposit back. It is written very plainly in the contract on what the family is responsible for. If you pick the full package it was very little cleanup (basically have enough catering staff and have them bus the tables and plan on having them there until the festivities are over). We received our deposit back within a week as promised. Definitely recommend Paradise Cove! The day of the wedding went very smoothly. Tina took care of all the details so the day was enjoyable and as stress free as possible! We had the wedding outdoors by the lake, nice and quiet in their little cove. The guests loved the venue and had nothing but positive things to say about our wonderful evening together, celebrating at the reception in their lovely indoor space. read more

For a very small event it is Ok. Beautiful place, however Tina the person who runs the place is difficult to work with if you do not chose her as the Day Of Coordinator for your wedding , we chose our friend who's in the business. On the day of the wedding everything from the Bartender to serving equipment to the Champagne Toast was difficult. Our Day of Coordinator and her staff are TABC Certified but Tina would be let them help the Bartender serve the Champagne to 90 adults which took a lot of time to get everyone served. Tina claimed it was TABC rules which is wrong and then when pressed she then said it's her rules, she keeps moving the goal posts..Enough said, never again!! read more

The owners of Paradise Cove rent out a yurt on their property through Glamping.com. I have to post my review here because they won't post it there (since I didn't spend the night). The reason I didn't spend the night is that it was dirty and smelled terrible. The bathroom is a Rubbermaid Shed out to the side that is filled with mosquitos. When I asked for a refund because we would NOT be staying they refused and said they could not book it since I had reserved. The problem is that since I DID book it and should have been able to leave an honest review.....I wasn't allowed to. I would not recommend these owners to anyone for ANY of their spaces due to horrible customer service and the property not being clean. What a waste of money for me. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND My husband and I just got married at Paradise cove on June 22,2022. While the venue itself is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, I have nothing positive to say about the staff for paradise cove. Tina ( the owner of the venue) pushed us to have her as "our day of coordinator " expressing that she has tons of experience and knows exactly what to do and when to do it. She expressed that she would make herself available for any questions and concerns we had along the way and even went as far as providing me with her personal cell phone number. I should have caught on sooner because she was extremely unresponsive when I finally did message her with questions. If she would respond to my texts she usually would tell me to "ask Dawn." Which is her partner who handles the finance portion of things. Needless to say that having Tina in charge meant that NOTHING went as scheduled the day of our wedding. We were late on almost everything, our guests were NOT informed of anything that was happening, the crew was rude to our guests based on feedback that we received from family and friends, AND the bridal suite didn't even have proper air conditioning! My bridal party and I sat back there sweating for 2.5hrs waiting for Tina to get the show on the road. There was so much confusion and Tina was very scatterbrained. She was unable to give proper answers to questions when asked and I feel that the workload is too much for her. When we need her she nowhere to be found. She kept referring to her "crew" which involved herself and 2 other people (which were the "bartenders") one of which showed up several hours late. Definitely not a good look. During our conversations with her, Tina informed us that couples get upset when they hire outsourced coordinators that are not familiar with her venue and that those people usually do not get their deposits back because they leave trash ect. So like some fools we were convinced that hiring Tina was our best option to ensure that our special day went smoothly. HOWEVER, not only did we pay Tina an extra $1,300 to have her as our coordinator because she claimed to be so "knowledgeable" she also refused to give us back our $1,000 deposit. Which absolutely defeated the purpose of having her coordinate to begin with. She was COMPLETELY useless. My mother-in-law even made it a point to check in with her all night to ensure things were as they should be the night of. It had been radio silence from Tina since the night of the event until she finally reached out via email a week later to tell us we won't be getting that money back. A true con artist that has now scammed us out of a total of $2,300 & used Gods name to do it. What a shame. She added so much stress to the night of our wedding and then failed to follow through on the promises she made. Please look elsewhere before booking with her place. Was here to shoot a wedding. The place is nice, established and over looks the lake. It is tucked away in the back, but GPS will get you there. The area is big enough to hold whatever event that you might have. Things to note: -Only one dressing area. So the groom's party all had to change in the bathrooms. -The hallway to the dressing room is HOT. No air circulating. -The staff was very helpful and the meal provided was very good. -no drive up/through, you would have to back the car up the the entrance. -The view is gorgeous! I was supposed to attend a wedding here (late May, 2015) and we couldn't even get near the venue. News report showed water nearly to the roof. Bride was devastated. If you're planning a Wedding here, it's really a hit or miss proposition - is it going to rain and how much? The business that was here before was a Catfish Restaurant that got rained out so often they went broke. I'm not playing Russian Roulette when I plant my Wedding. From the lack of reviews about rain-outs and flooding, It's clear that many reviews aren't being posted, because a lot of Brides are very upset. Paradise Cove was the perfect place to get married! Every step of the way from planning to day-of, the staff was prepared, peaceful, and confident. Here's one great example: We were planning on an outdoor ceremony, but weather shifted at the last moment, bringing rain and wind! Our day-of coordinator did not even skip a beat. As soon as I told her that I wanted to move the ceremony inside, she dove right into turning the whole reception area that had already been arranged into a gorgeous ceremony area... and we're so glad we did!! We had so many people tell us that it was the most beautiful, intimate ceremony that they'd ever been to. The candles glowed all around us, and the lake outside took on a symphony of waves due to the wind. It was a perfect contrast. :) After the ceremony, guests enjoyed appetizers in the large foyer while our coordinator turned the area back into a gorgeous reception area in record time for us to dance away in! read more

This place is a spectacular venue. Our good friends came here to get married and The wife and I were part of the wedding party so we had a good time to familiarize ourselves with the facility. First off, it's in the middle of no where, but it is by the lake. If your GPS says you've arrived, just keep driving until you see the lake. The parking lot isn't huge, but you're not here at this venue because you have a million guests. What did I like most? The venue is well-kept. Everything from the dining hall to the gazebo/outdoor wedding. The arches that lead down to the lake side gazebo are a nice touch. The biggest complaint I have is the paper towel dispenser in the men's bathroom is directly above the urinal. The only reasonable explanation for this is that a woman installed it. Seriously, if you can't step close to the urinal, why have one at all? You may as well just have a drain on the floor. If you do step close to the urinal, you'll have to do a back bend to keep from kissing the dispenser. If that's the worst of their problems, then I suppose they're doing alright. The other concern I had was their sound system had a terrible static. It's just slightly annoying. This place was booked for a wedding on Saturday, our friends got married on a Sunday, so we couldn't have our rehearsal and leave our stuff set up for the next day. It wasn't a big deal, but it was somewhat inconvenient. The bartender was great and took care of us all night. He even got us a bag of ice at the end of the night (Thanks so much!). The wait staff seemed like they were in a hurry. I was asked if I was done with most of my food still on my plate. The same waitress almost filled my Sprite with water and when I said it was Sprite, she asked if I wanted another, I said, "yes" and she never came back. All they need now is a Latin host and a midget assistant and they can change their name to Fantasy Cove! De plane! De plane! read more

Disorganized and confused. Throughout a day long ceremony and reception, every aspect was just haphazard and poorly organized. Nothing went off as scheduled. Our club just held an annual summer event at Paradise Cove. The venue is beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. Tina is fantastic to work with, very accommodating, and was hands on the entire time. Her staff was beyond helpful even stepped in to help us blow up some inflatables when our air compressor died. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was at this venue. There are so many different points to start at. Paradise Cove was trouble from the moment we enter the parking lot. This is an extremely difficult place to find, when we did, it looked like a place from the front that should be torn down. Panels falling down, gutters hanging down, it was sad. I was there for a wedding where the weather was less than stellar. The coordinator, I was told it was Jennifer, was very rude to the groom and bride for starters. I stood there and watched it. She was very bossy while the weather was being dealt with. That was not their fault but to yell at the groom on his wedding day, how cold and rude. The bridal suite was down an outside hall way, which was FREEZING COLD. The groomsmen were told to get dressed in a bathroom by the bar, where the guest all were. We were kicked out the reception room with a curtain, even though we were all trying to stay hidden. Oh did I mention the trailers in the parking lot? I will back off that one. The food, was ok, but when asked for something minor the cook was very sarcastic about it. The ceremony was about 300 to 500 yards down the walk away from everything. With the COLD wind blowing and rushing the guest, it was a fiasco. The sound was from 2 little speakers and nothing could be heard. The minister did not have a microphone on him and we were told and confirmed the coordinator would not let us due to the weather. What was the point of having a ceremony no one could hear. We were all herded back into the bridal suite where there was no room at all but had to stand there. Thankfully the photographer has us take pictures inside at the fireplace, against the coordinator's wishes. I have been too and in a few weddings and this seemed to be the coordinators wishes and wanted, not the wedding couples. They wanted things in different orders, but no....coordinator says so. Paradise Cover is more like Paradise Lost. I would never recommend them for anything. If you are looking at them, you need to check out their reviews on some other sites, i.e. Wedding Wire and The Knot. Other couples have had huge problems and this place does not care about the couples or what they want. read more

I can't say enough positive things about Paradise Cove!!! Tina and her team are simply amazing! We got married there earlier this month and it was absolutely perfect! The set up process couldn't have been easier, the food was delicious, the staff was great, and my guests had a blast! Maureen was our day-of coordinator and she is amazing: Helped keep the groomsmen in check (aka- calmed them down re: drinking before the wedding), made sure my husband and I were completely taken care of (ie: bringing us sips of wine between family pictures), and talked us through everything from the where to hold our bouquets to how to cut the cake. She knows her stuff!! As it turns out, there was rain forecast for the evening of our wedding (had our dance floor on the deck), but Tina and her team kept their cool and everything worked out perfectly- and it ended up not raining!! (PS- thanks for not telling me until a few days later!) My fiance and I met with Tina a few weeks before our big day to finalize things, and while we were setting up, a 3rd-party wedding planner was setting up for her bride's event. (They didn't use Tina and her team.) The planner "called it" like 6 hours before and decided that they'd shuffle things around and do everything inside because of the slight chance of rain. I am so sorry for that bride because it didn't end up raining but (from pics I saw on facebook) they still scrunched to have everything inside. Such a shame they didn't work with Tina; she definitely knows what she's doing! She is incredibly organized, and she's there for the bride every step of the way! From meetings to emails to last minute texts! (She even calmed me down when I had a break down moment the day we were setting up. Said a prayer with me and made me feel so much better! Saved me from crying and completely breaking down in front of my distant in-laws. Bless you Tina!) Tina and staff, thank you so much for helping make our dream a reality!! There is no way there is going to be enough room for me to tell you how much I love Paradise Cove and their staff. My husband and I had our fairytale wedding day here in March 2016. When we were planning our wedding we went on tours of several venues in the area and honestly I was starting to feel like all I was hearing was all of the things that different places couldn't do. When we got to Paradise Cove, not only was it a breathtaking venue but Jennifer had such a great can-do attitude. You just got the feeling right away that they know what they are doing and they are going to go above and beyond to make your day perfect. I like that they had an all-inclusive package so you didn't have to worry about providing tables/chairs/linens/silverware/etc. -That really helped shorten my to-do list. They have a tasting a couple of times a year so you can try all the food options and meet and discuss options with their chef. All of the food is great - we had the Italian menu served plated. It was great, everyone got a serving of chicken, pork AND pasta instead of picking between the three. The portions were generous and many guests commented on how impressed they were with the food. We also liked being able to provide our own alcohol here. This not only helped us stay in budget but it allowed us to serve beers from our home towns and some sentimental wines to our guests. I was a very DIY bride, we did my flowers, made a lot of décor and I had anticipating my bridesmaids and I having to do a lot of the set up the day of the wedding, since a lot of these responsibilities would normally be taken care of by a florist or rental company. Tina and her team would not hear any of it. Maureen, one of the coordinators, had me send her photos of how I'd like things set up and the day of they took care of everything so we could relax and get ready in the bridal suite. I did not have a single worry on my wedding day, everything was taken care of, including watching our timeline and letting me know when we were needed to do things like cut the cake/toss the bouquet and garter, which allowed us to have fun and be in the moment with our friends and family. On June 2nd we lost my brother-in-law to a lengthy fight with cancer. Desperate in short time to find the perfect venue to host a celebration of life party, we came across Paradise Cove on Lake Grapevine. Tina and Brent took time out of their personal lives to open the venue for us, and were amazing throughout the process in helping us put together what turned out to be an incredible evening. I can't thank them enough for their compassion, flexibility, generosity and gorgeous venue in helping us begin the healing process here surrounded by family and friends. As mother of the bride I can not compliment this facility and it's staff enough. Tina was wonderful as a wedding coordinator. Her attention to detail allowed us to truely enjoy the event. The outdoor setting has a gorgeousl view of the lake as well as a beautiful walkway adorned with many flowers and colorful shrubs. The deck off the recption hall provides a lovely outdoor break from the activities. Inside you will find a most romantic ambiance with curved ceiling & tables maximizing the waterfront view. It sparkles at night with the many candles and mood lighting they provide. The facility is completely renovated from the foundation up and it is beautiful. Staff was great, plenty of experienced people on hand. Food was excellent, pork was tasty and moist. Loved it. Tina is a very welcoming person who made me feel special from the moment I contacted her to look at Paradise Cove. Hearing Tina talk about her passion for Paradise Cove, and how she personally keeps up with the beautiful flowers and grounds made me even more excited to have our wedding there. After comparing other venues in the area, it was obvious that Tina offers more services at a competitive price to her brides. I knew that planning a June wedding would mean that they would be busy with other weddings as well, but Tina and her staff never made me feel like I was put on the back-burner during their peak season. My emails were always met with a prompt and sincere response. I was heartbroken to learn that Paradise Cove would no longer be usable for my wedding due to the lake flooding. Tina went above and beyond to try to find an alternate location and offered her services if we had to reschedule, or at a different venue. I was overwhelmed with Tina's generosity, knowing that she had so much on her plate at once. Although our path took us in another direction, I am so thankful for all that Tina and her staff had helped us with during our engagement! I can only imagine how wonderful they would have made our wedding day at Paradise Cove.
