Gigi is very knowledgeable about child behavior and development stages, she helped us (first time parents) to go through terrible two without stress. There was no bitting, screaming and tantrum period was short and relatively easy. They are a family oriented and adjust to your personal needs. When our second son was born, Gigi taught boys what it means to be a family, and created a strong bond between them. Since this is a mixed age group, younger kids naturally develop skills faster interacting with older peers, while older kids learning to be gentle with babies. As far as academics, they follow preschool programs and teach ABCs, numbers, shapes, working on scissors and glue...you name it. We don't speak English at home, so I can definitely tell boys developed their communication skills and academics at Gigi. In addition they teach Spanish too. Overall it was a great experience and I can't be more grateful to Gigi for her help!

For starters, the facility is clean and inviting, but the staff and teachers make this place go round. Jade and Tarika are incredible directors. They are always available for a chat - about both good things and concerns - and take the time to get to know each child. They are also extremely vigilant about when a child might be sick, which I appreciate. Additionally, they are responsive via email. I know that if I have a quick question, they are ready, willing and able to help. Lastly, our son loves his teacher, Miss Gia! He has never cried once when we drop him off and a huge smile comes onto his face when we walk into his room! The kids are kept busy (we love the art projects that come home!) and are cared for well. All of the teachers there have really impressed me. Now really the last thing - there's an app that we follow along with each day. It logs everything that is going on with our child, which for a parent, is a god-send. And there are cute pictures sent throughout the day. We are so thankful we made the choice to send her to NRDN. From the start, our daughter always told us how much she loved it there and how much she loved her teachers and her friends from class. In Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante's class, her social-emotional learning and academic development were nurtured in a way that produced results that we could see at home. They are both truly gifted educators and foster a Pre-K environment that teaches students how to be part of a team, while thriving as individuals. In 3-K, our daughter attended Ms. Twana and Ms. Silvana's class. She had an amazing time, learned so much, and we were so impressed with what she accomplished. She built such a strong foundation. Prospect Academy is a corner stone of the Russian community in Westchester. My children attended…read morethe pre-school for its entirety, and after they graduated, I decided to keep them there an extra year to give them another 12 months of Russian. Even after that, we continued with Prospect for after-school programs, that my children benefited from tremendously. This school is always coming up with new initiatives - cooking classes, dance classes, outdoor gardens, German or Spanish language programs - it's always fun, new and interesting! We can't say enough about the loving and caring teachers that my children were lucky to be nurtured by. Everyone at Prospect treats us like family. My children have long since graduated, but I keep coming there for the Moms Dance classes every week! The program at the school is full of hands-on education and learning made fun. Going outside in any weather is a must - great way to make our kids resilient and unafraid. The kids have Heritage projects to make, family days, Pancake week, everything you'd like for your kids to learn about your culture. We love Prospect Academy with all our hearts!

According to some of the people who work there, without naming names, it is NOT a welcoming place to work in or be an employee in. Everyone who works there is miserable and disgruntled. It is not a "safe space" environment. I have a direct quote from someone who works there, "it's not very welcoming". There is one employee who is rude to other newer employees. This place needs better management and more professionalism. Have some standards. If you are a daycare, you should be a welcoming safe emotional space for new employees who need training. I know 2 people who work here who have both said these direct quotes about their experience there. Toxic work environment, some people should not be around kids. It might be fun for your kids to go here, but parents think about what you are supporting when you send your kid here. If you are about people, this place isn't it. There are far better daycares in the area.
