Very disappointed in this property. Don't waste your money. Music blasts till 2:30 am. We called to complain and was told there were numerous complaints about the loud music but nothing was done. Nobody was at the dance club either. Go to Caliente. This place is a huge disappointment. read more

Since the new owners took over a few years ago investments were made into improvement and modifications that have made it our favorite getaway in Florida. If you haven't been there for awhile it time to go back, It's quite surprising what excellent management can do! We travel from California to vacation there and we'll return again soon! read more

I have been there three times both as a couple and as a single male, Experience was dramatically different between the two. I was discriminated against and made into a target from the moment I checked in. I was watched constantly by security and told I was not allowed to go certain places. I Ended up going to the place where I was not allowed looking for a couple that I have met became friends with immediately came up to me and told me I had to leave without Letting me provide an explanation. Not only was asked to leave which I did without any issues. I need to receive an email saying I was banned and resort indefinitely under the current management. I enjoyed myself here today. Earlier in the week I visited, it was my first time out in a community and it was Awesome! Today I was able to get my complete workout in at the fitness center, 1 hr. and a promotion Strip & Dip and I did. I like the staff here front desk and wait staff , not for any particular reason other than they create a comfortable environment, and they are helpful without making you feel awkward, that's all I need. I guess those would be particular reasons after all. Lol I had a great day, the community was friendly and engaging. I'm going back again and again lol. Paradise Lakes Resort - Time to Strip & Dip here at Paradise Lakes Resorts - Resorts Near Me - Lutz, Florida

This establishment has a resort fee. All day pass, $80 a couple. Arrive after 6pm, $40 a couple. These fees are in addition to the, in my opinion, over-priced rooms. I made a reservation for two nights in the hotel. I arrived after 7pm on the first night. When I left, the bill showed they charged me the full day rate for the day I arrived. When I brought this error to their attention, I was told they couldn't issue a refund because "they have no control of when the guest arrives". Yet, every hotel guest and day guest must pass by the front desk to enter the facility. I will not be returning and don't recommend this establishment. read more

I am an owner in the RV Park- have been there about 1-1/2 yrs. After reading several reviews I found most every negative review was written before the new owners have taken over. With that said, I feel Paradise Lakes Resort has improved quite a bit. Of course, I still feel the fees are out of control- especially for single men (even if you're divorced). Personally, I consider this discriminatory. Not ALL (in fact, very few) are stalkers. There are many many more respectful single men that would be a big asset to the community. Recently returning to Paradise Lakes Resort after covid lockdowns proved to be a big mistake, waste of time and has left us with the need to advise others of our horrible experience. We arrived after a typical Florida afternoon rain shower. The parking lot was moderately flooded and after stepping into a pothole, my ankle was twisted and is still causing lingering pain. We check in at the front desk with a young lady who never made eye contact and treated as if we were annoying her by being there. Basically she collected our money and sent us on our way. No offer for a tour, promoting of a membership or advising of events for the weekend. The decrepit landscaping at the front gate and throughout the resort gave the feel of a seedy low budget motel and when we opened the door to our poolside room, the musky, moldy smell nearly knocked us over. Back to the front desk to request a different room proved to be an ordeal and we should have just requested a refund and left. Rather we were given a second room that was slightly better smelling but the ceiling fan didn't work and no remote for the a/c. We ordered food and beverage in the waters edge restaurant Friday evening and again were treated as if we were an inconvenience by the bartender. She was rude, the food was sub-par and the cocktails were overpriced. Please keep in mind, we had been warned by member friends to not complain to resort management, specifically their GM Teri or would be banned from the resort with no warning or option to appeal. After dinner we sat in the conversation pool to relax and it was disgusting with mold and fungus growing. We overheard numerous guests complaining about everything from incompetent staff, horrible food, dirty pools, banning of longtime members and overall mismanagement . When a manager would walk by, they always had resting bitch face and never once asked us or anyone for that matter if we were having a good experience or if there was anything that could be done to make our visit better. We knew they would be unapproachable to discuss our experience. We will be disputing all charges with our cc company. No need to ban us Teri as we will not return until we hear of a complete upper management change, improvement with customer service, food and beverage upgrade, overall facelift of poolside rooms, etc. read more

It was my first time going to a place like this, even though I walk around naked in my own place, doing so in front of strangers is another thing... So my first time I ask what are the rules, no pics and no staring..ok sounds easy enough, so not knowing what to bring I have no bag to put my clothes, so I leave them in my carand walk in with my towel, so after running in the pool so I'm not hanging out everywhere I settle down and begin to enjoy my time, I figured I'll only be here 2 hours because I'm a stranger in a community of friends, but people by the pool started talking to me like a neighbor and I ended up there for like 7 hours, talking and laughing, so when I leftI told myself I'd go back because I was treated with friendship and I wasnt treated like a stranger.. Terrible time the residents treat you like a second class citizen, you can probably get a nicer room if you pay by the hour. Most of the staff are very nice, amenity's are zero and what they do have the residents take over. The rooms smell musty and they say they are themed, thats a joke, we rented supposedly their luxury cabana. Dont believe anything on their web page, especially daily prices for couples. So...nice piece of land, but but but this place needs a major overhaul. It's old and run down. Like going back into the late 1980's and early 1990's. This nudist/naturist resort has been in business for a very long time. I had a great time here with a friend that had a "membership" access but don't get all weird and shit here because this place has this very wide variety of guests. Some including strange old guys that walk around with their pants off but keep a shirt on...& this was at night so I don't know what that was all about. I met quite a few Europeans here which I think is the best thing about this place. These people are very laid back and do not think anything at all about bare-ing their skin because that's just how they are. I never stayed at their rooms but it was a really good experience into the US Nudist culture and how the Europeans view this so differently. Made me want to move to Europe. Seriously. For what it's advertised for this place is wayyyy overpriced there .. all the extra fees in addition to the room rate 122 a day 229 with day fees each night . Also showed all this ridiculous paperwork about taxes never heard of such I agree with another helper it' feeds like consumer fraud . 6 drinks and one appetizer was almost 65 bucks. . While we were in the pool a complete stranger came up and after about 5 min conversation asked us if we smoked pot, wanted cocaine or mollies , not our thing but to each their own, wouldn't have minded the costs if the service was there. If I could give a negative star I would . We rented a condo off air b n b so from the get go the staff didn't like us. They gave us a letter that said multiple reasons why they might have to give our identity to the government, stating that taxes may not have been collected but in fact air B and B collected taxes from us. In addition they highjacked us for 4 days membership fees when we were there for 3 days to the tune of 50 dollars a day. They also collected tax on membership fees not a room tax as we had already paid that. We had heard from many staying at the resort that the food was terrible. They finally opened the inside bar tonight so you didn't have to go out to the other bar to get a drink...:until you wanted a pitcher of beer... then you have to go to the other bar. Okay, until you're waiting for your turn at the bar and the same manager (Rosie) cuts in Front of your bartender to pour a pitcher for someone else who ordered at the main bar. And then delivers it back to them while they are vaping in the main bar. The favoritism and lack of consists principally in this resort gets more aggregators every time I visit. Spent the day with friends. The place is dated, ugly and just plain wore out. and theres the odd guys who stay in the hotel who spend their time sitting as close as they can and stare while women are sunbathing. It's creepy as hell, but complaints to management go nowhere, to be honest the management are pretty awful.no customer service worth writing home about. Had been to this place about 25 years ago when it was smaller. As a member of ASA I enjoyed swimming or just relaxing by the pool and at night enjoyed the hot tub in multiple places around the country. My husband and I went back and we can see the place had expanded, unfortunately with expansion came a new generation that is more interested in sex than nudism or naturism. We spent time by the pool the first afternoon and after dinner we went to the hot tub, big and lots of room for a lot of people. We are sociable people and as we entered the tub we said hello to the only guy that was there at the time. When my husband got out I decided to stay a little longer but did not anticipate the guy would get closer to me but did not take it as an offense until he got even closer that his arm touched my elbow, when there is only two people in a huge hot tub it is nor normal that a complete estranger gets that close. That is when I decided to get out to avoid any confrontation with this creep and as I was leaving he made comments about my anatomy. I told my husband and rather than taking this into our own hands we went to the desk and explained the incident to the lady and demanded to see the manager or owner. He spent about 25 minutes talking to the creep (regular) and came back saying that he had denied everything. The creep is a regular and management does not want to loose the revenue. Guess what, we wont be going back anytime soon if management does not have the courage to clean up overt sexual behavior. If you make more money catering to swingers how about advertising accordingly so you don't create false expectations. read more

This used to be a very nice place. Not totally sure what has happened, owner lost touch? In the name of trying to improve the place he closes the Key West Open Air bar poolside between 4-5 daily now. He wants everyone to go to an inside bar, to fancy for the place, your wet from pools and hot tub last thing you want to do I'd go sit in air conditioning. That is very much the same opinion several pool guest share. The Key West Bar was something special and fun. The overall club does not seem as clean as in years past, pools certainly not taking care of as well. Overall and in daily/weekly treatments. It's sad when you have a kitchen and a majority of residents go next door to Lake Como to eat there. I finally let my membership expire and will not go back until I hear several things have changed. Cannot comment on the rooms as I was merely a day-tripper. Overall, I wish I could give it 2.5 stars, not 2. But compared to the Caliente resort which is not far from there, Paradise Lakes is very small but the fee for the day $40 was cheaper than Caliente. Dated decor. One main pool which isn't that big. two smaller ones used for water volleyball. Many of the umbrellas were broken and had to be tied with string to stay up (not sure why they aren't fixed or replaced). I know some people complained about the drink prices here, but I didn't think they were out of line. The staff was friendly enough. No complaints there. Now for the bad: Frankly, if you want to see and interact with some really old and/or tremendously fat naked people, and a healthy dose of rednecks, this is the place for you. Personally, it wasn't the crowd for me and frankly I was kinda bored. Did not meet virtually anybody. Very cliquish I guess - the hard core nudists don't mix with the day-trippers, at least not that day. After 10 minutes, you simply don't even want to look any longer -- it's like the people you see at Walmart naked. I was hoping for more educated people. More variance in ages (and body types), but it was not to be. If you just want to go to a place to be naked (like I did, it's fun), it's a cheaper alternative to Caliente. I can't say "don't go there", but if you have a little more $ in your pocket, $100 for the day at Caliente is worth the extra $60 for a couple (or a single man). read more

Just stayed here at paradise for the first time. My wife and I did a quick get away for her birthday. We stayed in there deluxe pool side cabana. It was awesome, they had put out a bottle of chilled wine and some chocolate covered strawberries for her birthday. This was our first time in a nudest resort and at first didn't think she would like it, but I was pleasantly surprised, she didn't feel afraid at all, everyone didn't care and went about there business as if we all had cloths on. The food was good the hot tubs and pools were awesome, in fact wife went back and forth from pool to sauna all nite long. This place made u feel comfortable. It was clean and service was good. The new owner had great idea's, like breakfast buffett, but that ended. Closed the sauna, closed the excersize room and raised the club daily rate to $95.00 a couple no matter what time you checked in. If you only stay two nights ( at high priced dinky rooms) no one will clean your room or bring you towels, not that there is enough room in the tiny rooms. Feels like your going to tip over in the awful shower too. TV, forget it as no cable. The one nice thing is the DJ in the lounge play's the music so loud and really bad music that there is lots of room on the dance floor as most people leave before there ears bleed. Cannot even ask for a request as we all assume he own's the place and does not want the bar to make a profit. Jello shots, you need them to recover from the electronic noise. No smoking there, except for everywhere, even in the hot tub, well really just a warm tub. WE wondered just what those guy's are doing to themselves under water....guess. The conversation pool is also a great place to get laid just watch out for floating....stuff ! Girls at the desk are nice, but they don't control all the mess. What is nice is the 120 decibel music blaring from speakers outside all the rooms until one or two in the morning, who needs sleep anyway. I would suggest you buy a tent and put up near 275 North for a better weekend. read more

We are very disappointed. 556.00 to use the gym for a month and it is terrible shape. TV don't work, most of the cardio equipment should be condemned. Schwann Air-dyne emits sparks. Weights are fine but they don't need maintenance. Sauna door is falling off and won't close. Requests for repairs fall on deaf ears. Hot water is sporadic. Many better choices in the area read more

I love Paradise Lakes! Been here 3 times so far. First time was on a whim, my wife was trying to find a hotel room between Atlanta and Clearwater Beach, and Paradise Lakes popped up. Never been at a clothing optional resort before, she wanted to try it. She surprised me when we drove up to the gated entrance and I see clothing optional resort. We arrived at around 3 am and we saw a young couple but no one else in front of lobby, naked as a jay bird like not a big deal. I wasn't sure how I was going to able to get naked in front of other people at that point. We got checked in and started toward our room, not one person in sight. But it was a Wednesday night. When we got in the room, I told my wife we forgot a piece of luggage from the car. I quickly took off my clothes and put on my flip flops and proceeded to walk through the lobby and out to the car bare assed naked. It was awesome, feeling the breeze against my naked body. I was afraid I was going to get an erection walking in front of the front desk, but I didn't to my surprise. Got the rest of our things from the car, and went straight back to the room. I told my wife I did it! I made it out to the car and back without getting an erection. She laughed. The next morning, we woke up to the sun shining through our cabana doors, and got up, put my flip flops on and walked around the pool. Spent the day just sunning ourselves. It was great! Since our first time, we have been back two more times, and each time is a different experience, from the Club Reveal to the bar near the pool, we really enjoyed ourselves. read more
