Checkin for members and non-members of World Of Hyatt is smooth and the service is quick, professional, and done with politeness that is genuine. My double room had all the required elements and restocked coffee every morning. The iron and hairdryer worked perfectly as well. This stay was a bit different because while I was here the hotel had a fire on my floor. The facility did an excellent job moving a large amount of people (3 floors of us) down stairs to the lower level in the early morning hours. While the fire department was on site the hotel kept us all informed and safe. It worked exactly the way it should for the hotel and the guests. I was very impressed. We returned to our rooms once the floors were completely checked and I did not once feel my safety was at risk before or after the event. Checkout was smooth as well.

The guy at the front desk was accommodating and said he only had bay view rooms available for early check in. Although this was an additional fee of $30/night, we decided to pay for it because we were tired from traveling. We got a room on the 7th floor, with bay and pool views. The room was spacious, clean, and provided everything we needed for the stay. They also have an onsite restaurant and a store on the 1st floor. We walked by the pool area, but did not get in because it was a bit chilly. We also walked to the other end of the hotel where the casitas are, it looked like a pretty cool area to revisit in the future. We booked the hotel through Hotels.com. The total provided at booking was around $650...after checking out our total then went to almost $1000. I understand the upgrade for the bay view of $30/night, however there are hidden fees that were not previously disclosed. In addition, someone charged a breakfast buffet to our room. I did make a complaint and was refunded, however they need to reconsider their methods for guests charging restaurant food to rooms. Overall the stay was good. I just think they should do a better job with disclosing hidden fees and restaurants procedures.

The pool deck is whimsical with floats and the beach is right across the street. What a treat. The jets in the spa (hot tub) are well placed on mid-lower back and ankles which was appreciated! I think the pool was salt water or least wasn't overly chlorinated and still seemed clean. Only concern was that the "hot tub" was not at all hot. It was slightly warm to room temp. Shouldn't it be 102 or even better 104 degrees? Overall- great experience. Keep up the great work with healthy restaurant food options and the positive staff members!

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

I celebrated my birthday at the JW Marriott Clearwater and it was easily one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely made me feel special. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning design and a relaxing atmosphere that made the whole stay feel like a true getaway. There are so many amenities to enjoy, which really elevates the experience and makes it feel like a true luxury stay. The only downside for me was that there isn't a sauna, which is something I usually expect at a hotel of this level. It's a small miss, but worth noting. Overall, I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate. I'll definitely be back!

Instead, we encountered poor communication, disorganization, and management that seemed incapable of delivering the experience their luxury rates promise. Our room wasn't ready until 8:30 p.m., leaving us waiting more than five hours. Once we finally got in, our luggage wasn't delivered as promised, the room phone didn't work, and maintenance had to make multiple trips to replace it before we could even begin to settle in. By the end of the evening, we still hadn't had a chance to unpack, shower, or relax after a full day of travel. The valet experience was equally disappointing--disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking even the most basic customer service. The mattress was also among the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. The only employees who reflected the Marriott brand were the bartenders and the maintenance technician. Everyone else, including management, seemed indifferent to the issues we experienced. Luxury hotels command premium prices because guests expect premium service. This property delivered neither. I left frustrated, exhausted, and wondering how this hotel is allowed to carry the JW Marriott name. There are far better options in Clearwater.

As the Dance Party DJs, we've had the privilege of being part of so many amazing weekends, and we love giving back to this incredible community. Our absolute favorite event is Naked Burn! The creativity, music, art, theme camps, and sense of community make it one of the most unique and unforgettable weekends of the year. It's unlike anything else and has become a tradition we look forward to every year. We also love all the sports Lake Como has to offer (well...except golf! ). The volleyball community is incredible, and Super Bowl South is always one of the highlights of our year. The atmosphere during the big tournament weekends is energetic, welcoming, and full of people who quickly become friends. Lake Como is known for its outstanding volleyball facilities and tournaments, and it's easy to see why. Beyond the events, what keeps us coming back is the people. The hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located on Clearwater Beach with just a short walk across the street to the beach. We booked two suites , a 2 queen private rooftop terrace suite with a full kitchen and a poolside king suite with a kitchenette which were spacious and perfect for our large gathering. The rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, the pier, playgrounds, and shops. I also liked that the pool is on the 8th floor with a great view and access limited to hotel guests only. Pool chairs were very comfortable, towels were unlimited with no towel card system, and beach cabana/umbrella rentals were half off for guests. The hot tub being on the 16th floor separate from the pool didn't make much sense though. Room service was daily, and I appreciated being able to text the front desk instead of calling. I highly recommend using the text feature and keeping everything in writing because there were discrepancies regarding credits we were promised. There were unfortunately several maintenance and service issues during our stay. The living room TV constantly glitched and wouldn't sync properly even after maintenance attempted to fix it. More importantly, the AC completely stopped working in the rooftop terrace suite for hours while we hosted about 25 guests for the graduation party. Everyone was hot and sweaty in almost 100-degree indoor conditions. Thankfully the terrace breeze helped, but being offered only a $100 credit for such a major issue during a once-in-a-lifetime celebration felt insufficient! The parking garage situation was also frustrating. We were told our vehicles could enter and exit freely with the resort fee, but every time we tried leaving, the room keys and garage passes failed. We repeatedly went back to front desk to get new passes and had to pay $40 to exit then contact customer service afterward for refunds such a waste of vacation time Customer service overall was very hit or miss. Some employees were wonderful while others seemed miserable and unfriendly. The onsite coffee shop was particularly disappointing I'd recommend walking across the street from The front lobby to the real Starbucks instead. At times it felt like the hotel relies heavily on its excellent location and beach proximity rather than consistent service standards.Coming from previous stays at Sandpearl Resort, I personally would still choose Sandpearl for smaller family vacations. However, I will say this hotel offers more flexibility for large gatherings and easier garage access compared to Sandpearl's valet-only setup. That said, between the AC outage, power issues in BOTH suites floor 8 and 17, lukewarm water, TV problems, phone problems, garage charges, and inconsistent customer service, I would probably try another Clearwater Beach hotel next time. We still made wonderful graduation memories and the location, spacious suites, rooftop terrace, and beach convenience were definitely the highlights of our stay.

And not one spider or bug on that balcony the whole week we were there! Five stars just for that! All staff were very friendly, in fact I believe it was a manager that bought me and my husband drinks after we walked down 15 flights of stairs during a fire alarm. (I swear nobody else even heeded the alarm, we were the only one in the stairwell). We only ate breakfast in the main restaurant (which was good), but we did have room service a couple of times and enjoyed the rooftop bar, The Tropico, for food and drinks. (The kids menu burgers and fries was plenty for me!) All were good experiences. Hotel is in walking distance of so many restaurants, shops and of course, the pier. We only hung out on the beach one day with the loungers and cabana. I was a little disappointed that they weren't included in the stay. The cost was $30 per day. Otherwise I was content to hang out on the loungers at the pool. A store called Surf Style is just a couple of doors down that has besides clothing, your snacks, drinks and all the tourist goodies.
