Be warned, you are not going to get the cheapest pool in the world from these guys. They are old school and believe in selling a quality product at a very reasonable price. You're not paying Ferrari prices but you are definitely not getting an 86 Yugo either. Everything they provide is high-quality long-lasting and durable so you don't have to deal with breakdowns or other stupidity later in life. The equipment Farwell uses as "stock" or "base" is upper to top-end with other pool installers (then the other guys charge you a zinger for "premium tier products"!). Their price breakdowns are incredibly detailed and you know exactly what you're paying for. You can select a number of options basically a la carte to make your pool exactly what you want. They are incredibly flexible in the layout and other additions, and if you want something completely out of the box (like we did with our slide) they are very accommodating in including that in their installation process. The other part that was very refreshing was there were no hidden charges. You knew exactly what we were getting into before the first hole was dug. And the best part above all was they stuck to their guns on the prices with no whammies after the fact. From beginning to end they were done with the project in under three weeks. Now keep in mind our lot was very flat and didn't require much landscaping to make it work so things might be different if you have hilly land. The pics are before the landscaping has been done. We will post the finished product when the other company's work is done! In summary: if you want an awesome pool you can be proud of that will last you a long time with incredible service and attention to detail, and you understand that having such amazingness might cost you a little more than a bare bones POS that rots in 5 years go with Farwell pools!

Last winter I made a call to question my hot tub level after they'd replaced the water and was told I'd just have to put water in - no offer to come and inspect or help me troubleshoot. He told me," things break it's and appliance". So then, as previous customers report, I had another call from kurt recognizing that I was upset and he told me that they'd come and take a look to find the problem. All fine. fast forward - they put on new auto cover on my pool - this is a $6000 item plus labor. They told me a day before that they would be coming and when I had to leave for an appointment after being home for 5 hours he called and scolded me for leaving without telling him. I guess Communication goes one way because I wasn't sure what i would be needed for. That was an unpleasant conversation and NOW i've just had another unpleasant conversation with the wife about scheduling and she didn't appreciate my asking about the pricing nor did she think I should be able to have an opinion about anything. So - this family has some serious attitude issues and have definitely lost any respect or appreciation for their customers. I'll get some friends around and clean my own pool without being insulted. I listened to how busy they are and that the 'have a lot going on' so maybe they need to trim their business and not be so greedy so they can be nicer to customers. Blaming me for simply asking questions is quite arrogant I believe. I've had a pool for the past 20 years in different countries and cities and i've never experienced such treatment.

We'd recently put in new landscaping and a new lawn right in front of the gate they've gone through to get to our pool in the past. They parked their truck in the street across from the gate, walked on our neighbors yard, and then hopped over the new grass to get to the gate. I saw the first employee go through the gate while the second followed him. I asked them to please use the gate on the other side of the house and their reply was something like "This is easier!" and continued through the gate. These two grown men ignored the request of customer. A little while later I noticed that they backed their truck into our driveway and used the gate I'd asked them to use for their bigger equipment. When I mailed in the bill I wrote down my displeasure with what had happened that morning. This may not seem like a big deal.... but keep reading. This morning, September 25th, I received a call from the owner, Kurt S. assuming he was calling to apologize. Instead he informed me that they hadn't done any damage and that KS Pool Tech would no longer be servicing my pool AND THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME! Apparently Kurt is in the habit of hanging up on his customers. (His son has also used foul language in just normal conversation while at our house numerous times.) It's a miracle that he still has customers if he treats everyone like that! There are many other more reputable companies out there. We will be trying someone new that appreciates their customers for next spring!

The owner provided a quote, however, he did not view the property…read more Because of my lot and the layout, I requested a visit so that I could explain exactly what I wanted. The owner claims to have come by, however, even though I was home, he never "came to the door" so at this time I am unsure if he truly did the on-site inspection. He assured me he did come by, and his original quote was correct. I was told depending on weather, they were scheduling 3 weeks out after down payment was received. I requested weekly updates on the scheduling. I was initially informed that my project could happen the week of July 13th. An update was provided late June moving my project to mid-August due to rain. I questioned that because we weren't having rain. I shared that I may cancel my job after speaking to my realtor and I would let them know within 2-3 days if I would cancel. Ironically, I received a message a day later they would be there the next morning to begin work. I am disappointed in their work. The owner left out 38 feet x 10 feet of area. When I challenged it, he responded saying he left it out of the quote? I responded saying, it didn't make any sense because on the north and south side of this space he could clearly see the area is seeded with lawn. This section was torn up because we removed shrubbery and pine trees and it made no sense to leave this section incomplete. He said, well, I didn't include it in the quote. I replied, and this is why I specifically asked you to stop by and meet me so that he completely understood my requirements. The area was a mess as the previous owner didn't seed this part and it had a mixture of mulch and gravel. They did a very poor job of prepping the area for seeding. As I look at this space, there is a lot of gravel in this area left behind. He admittedly said he received poor "fill" as the topsoil and had bid 7 yards, but needed to purchase 10 because what he purchased was not good. I agree wholeheartedly with his statement. It was clumpy, clay and they did very little to make this area flat. I did tell Ryan the owner that I am sorry he purchased such poor topsoil, however, that was not my fault, but his. The grass is growing in areas, however, I will be picking up stones/rocks before I can cut this area. The crew hand seeded, meaning crew just took handfuls of seed and tossed it around. The result of this seeding is large areas with no seed that I have had to fill in. In the second part of this project, I Included having them put in edging around the house, weed prevention material, and mulch. About 2 weeks in, I started to plant shrubs around the house. In the back, as I began to start adding in the shrubbery, I noticed a pile of mulch in the middle of this particular section, piled rather high up against my home. At first, I thought nothing of it. When I finally got to planting this section, I smoothed out the mulch and it was then that I realized the crew had damaged my siding. The mulch was stacked to cover the damage which is a hole in the siding about 2-3 inches wide. There is no way to make a repair as the entire piece that was knocked out is nowhere to be found. I normally don't write reviews, however, if you get a quote from Ryan, I would make sure he is not making a decision on his own on what to include or not include. I would check your home to make sure mulch is not piled high to cover damaged siding. As an FYI, I had 3 other quotes, all within $500. However, leaving out the section he decided NOT to include, his price now is much higher than the other quotes I received. I strongly suggest proceeding with caution if you receive a quote and decide to hire Ryan and Appleton Lawn, Snow Landscaping. I have included photos. The area he left out is a bit difficult to show, however, the picture showing the damaged siding is very clear.

We had Hoheisel Painting do the exterior of our house a little over four years ago. While we were…read moreinitially satisfied with the work, a few months later we noticed the paint was bubbling up and peeling in spots. We contacted Mark Hoheisel but he never came out to look at or fix the problem. After the bubbling and peeling started to show up in more spots we had someone else look at our house since Mark was negligent in addressing the problem initiially. We were told the spaces between the boards had been previously caulked and should have been scraped free of the caulk before painting. The heat from the sun causes any trapped moisture to create bubbling on the exterior. The caulking issue was not noted or fixed prior to painting by Hoheisel Painting. We again tried contacting Mark Hoheisel and after many calls he eventually came out and we came to an agreement about how he would remedy the problem. However, after he came out he virtually fell off of the map. Whenever he did decide to return a call (after several unanswered ones) he told us he was short on workers and hadn't forgotten about us. This was over a year ago. We have given up on this guy. He has blown us off and never intended to fix his mistake in the first place. If we could give him a no-star rating we would. Mark Hoheisel is a worship leader at his church but it is obvious his Christian values don't carry over to his business practices. He is negligent, unreliable and talks out of both sides of his mouth. Any kind of warranty he offers you is absolutely worthless.
