They remain calm even when the line of customers is long. I appreciate the Automated Service Machines that are open 24 hours a day; the free parking; and the boxes that you can take for packing at home. Sometimes there's an "auntie" sleeping outside - please be kind. One day, that may be me?? (I hope not!) Just don't mind her... Thanks! Minus one star for the pavement - it could be improved, but it's not their fault!! It's old asphalt!

I'm so happy that there was a UPS Store in Waimea town!…read more Driving from Kailua-Kona to Honoka'a, then making my last stop in Waimea, upon having lunch at the Parker Ranch Food Court, I noticed this UPS Store just a few doors down from the food court. Being that I had (5) boxes of broken parts I needed to send back state side, this UPS Store sure was a lifesaver! As I walked into the store I asked one of the clerks if I could borrow a hand truck, that way I could load up all my (5) boxes & bring it into the store one crack! I must say the staff here was friendly, and more than accommodating. The service here was efficient, as the clerk processed my (5) boxes quickly. One of my boxes wasn't packed up yet, as I ran out of shipping tape, but the nice thing about coming to this UPS Store is that they sold shipping supplies. I purchased a small roll of shipping tape, and I gotta say it was sorta pricey, but the convenience factor reflects the price you pay here. If I'm working in Waimea again, it's nice to know that there's a UPS Store here, that way it saves me a trip from having to go down to Kailua-Kona, or to Pahoa town.

I've had many issues with the mail lady refusing to deliver my packages and leaving the "sorry we've missed you" slip in my mail box even though I'm home 24/7. Pleas to redeliver have been ignored and I'm continually inconvenienced to have to travel to the post office to physically pick up my mail, often time sensitive business packages, which puts a strain on my day to day operations. It would be great if the mail lady could please deliver my packages professionally and correctly to my front door as instructed for I do not wish to inconvenience their work flow with official complaints to the post master and world rather us both be able to operate efficiently. I've received and mailed quite a few packages and every experience is efficient, speedy, and friendly. Never have had any issue with my mail getting mixed up or late either. The post office shares the building with Papaaloa store and cafe which is definitely an added bonus. This is absolutely the heart of Hamakua coast-nothing else is around for miles in either direction! Since the cafe has opened plus an electric vehicle charging station was installed in the little parking lot, parking can be a little tight in front, but there's plenty of spots just down the road. The current and only employee I ever see working there, Dasha, has been incredibly helpful and patient with me as I prepare to leave the area. I will definitely miss this little gem!
