Although they do have a minimum hour rental they made an exception to make our son's birthday wish come true. We got a great rate, perfect friendly service and one happy kid who felt SO cool on his limo ride. We returned to Sonoma in 2026 with a small group and booked another tour. Booking and communication was a breeze. Very good. Ends up the property I rented offered a wine passport and we were to receive a discount. I called to confirm and they let me know the driver would apply the discount when we paid him the day of the tour. All sounded wonderful and was very clearly communicated. The tour in 2026 only went to 3 wineries. Two were just ok and one was not good. I don't think anyone on our tour purchased anything here. The time at each winery was like a typical tasting with some information on their winery. But no real information on Sonoma and Napa and the history of the area. At the end our driver had no clue on our discount and kept telling me he would get in trouble for charging me less. He insinuated I was making it all up. In the end he did honor the discount but seemed he did it as a favor not that it was a program that Platypus participates in. All in all I was disappointed in this wine tour and would no go on a platypus tour again and would not recommend them. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day. Luckily all the people on our tour were delightful so that made for a nice day.

The last winery was our favorite. Rolf is a friend of the owner so we got a private tour and everything. He made a pit stop for us and everything. He knew a lot about the area and which wineries would be the most impressive. He was very sweet and professional and we felt that we were old friends instantly. The limo was great. A white stretch limo. He showed up with waters stocked and a bottle of champagne. We got to play all of our music through a USB that hooked up to our iPods. The best part about the service is that it is extremely affordable. When I asked why it was less expensive then all the other limo services out there he said he just really wants people to become repeat costumers. Rolf, thanks so much for a great time and being so friendly it really made our trip to Napa ten times better. I will definitely be a repeat costumer and will send all my friends your way in the future. For all those who are turned off by some negative reviews you see. I too was skeptical and had a open honest conversation with Rolf. That was a long time ago and like every business sometimes you just have hiccups and kinks that need to be ironed out. They said we can go to the bar area. We get there and I mentioned I'm up for what is close to sweet and was given 2 choices and was able to sample taste each. The last one had a lingering taste so I opted for the lady that was helping us first choice. We asked for water and were given Fiji water bottles. I thought it would be included on the bill but was only charged for the glass of wine. She thanked us and I said I wanted to enter a tip but she said they don't ask. There was a tip jar but I don't carry cash. (Bring cash) We walked around and found the iconic side of palm tree way There were a few people taking photos and we sat at a table near by. When there wasn't anyone we took pictures (some people were far down the way but they were just behind me in my photos) while I checked what else I could have photograph, a few women wanted to take theirs. They asked if we could take their pictures and I opted to since I was a photographer back in my day. They posed and I took a few then I suggested a bit of a pose for them and they loved it. Another one said she came all the way from New York and I took a few for her as well, which she also loved. I definitely want to come back again, especially with the great first experience. I want to bring all my friends and take more pictures with all the great views (I want to walk all the way down the palm tree way next time)

Apparently their phone system was down. Luckily I emailed them and received a reply that everything was confirmed. That was a stressful day. Trying to figure out Plan B. I hired them for my June wedding. What I rented was a White stretch limo (which seats 8 comfortably) and a White stretch Hummer. The limo drivers arrived at our pick up area on time in Napa. Myself and my ladies rode in the Stretch limo while my husband and his guys went in the hummer. When I entered our limo. I was shocked to see the interior so used up. There were cracks on the seats and carpet was dirty. Not what I was expecting from the pictures I saw online. My ladies and I celebrated and opened a bottle of champagne (which is included in the rental) and soda for the flower girls, along with bottle water. When we arrived at the church and I was getting out of the limo (obviously I would need help) the limo driver just stood there holding the door. WHAT??? It was my camera man who actually walked over to help me out. Then he probably realized "I better help her". I chuck it to a lot was going on and it probably didn't click. When it came time to go to our photo shoot. My husband and I took the stretch and the rest of the wedding party went into the hummer. The hummer is beautiful. Back to the other limo. When we got in. There was empty water bottles on the seats and empty soda cans in the bar area. Even in the hummer there was empty cans. What the heck! Even after the photo shoot the garbage was still not disposed of. This was not the first time I've rode in a limo (it's my 4th time) and it is not acceptable for garbage to remain in the vehicle. The drivers are waiting for an hour or even 2 hours for you. They should clean up all the garbage. Restock the bar with new water, soda and ice. You should not go into a limo with melted ice cooling your champagne, empty or half full soda and water. Poor use of time. In a nut shell rent the hummer and not the stretch limo. Just driving, waiting and opening the door is not the only thing a limo driver should do. Find some initiative. Not the greatest of service. Additional info: Minimum 4 hours of service.
