What a great venue to bring a chair and relax to local music while sipping their White Wash wine! Beautiful countryside!

I met some friends at Paradocx for Sunday brunch, and though it has a beautiful setting and some decent local wines, I would NOT recommend having a meal there. We arrived to find out they were out of quiche, French toast, breadsticks, and salad! Not sure what to get with some brunch staples unavailable, we decided on several appetizers to share - cheese plate, baked Brie, hummus, pretzel bites with crab dip. All were fair at best. The plates were small and had no presentation. The 4 baby carrots sticks on the hummus plate tasted like they'd been sitting out too long. The cheese on the cheese plate, which was supposed to have grapes, was average. The pretzel bites tasted microwaved and were hard and dry. The best part were the Bloody Marys--but if you don't eat meat be sure to ask for them without a chunk of bacon on the rim--and the mimosa flights. This stunning spot is definitely worth checking out for the beautiful countryside but don't go in expecting a decent meal. A glass of wine on the patio with some crackers would be perfect. Then move on to someplace else to eat! read more

My wife and I recently visited Paradocx for her birthday. The employees were super nice, met us at the door, and seated us at a fully prepared table. We were familiar with a few of their selections from past visits to the Lansdowne Farmer's Market, and we were pleasantly surprised by their full selection during the tasting. We agreed that this is, by far, one of the best wineries in the area! In fact, we loved it so much we stocked up on their signature pouches and paint cans while we were there. These people were cold and inhospitable bordering on rude. We went there for a festival that was supposed to be going on Saturdays and Sundays until October 28, 2012. We arrived, after driving 1 1/2 hours to find no festival. There was no apology and no explanation. I had even contacted them in advance and was told that the festival was rain or shine. The only reason they get even one star is that their wine is very good, especially their T-wine. Very bad experience and we will never go back. read more

This place is terrible at handling live events. Not enough chairs for people to sit on, no assigned seating, not enough people handling drink orders and the sound system/acoustics was lousy. Plus parking in the dark with no outside lights nice way to ask for an accident. Never again. read more

Sat at the bar for over 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged our presence. The one bartender even washed glasses directly in front of us and didn't look up to say anything. This is unacceptable and we left. read more

Good wine & company. Customer service was very unsatisfactory. Employees not welcoming at all. Being a first time visitor, employees didn't provide info on tasting, or ask if we were enjoying our experience or if we wanted/ needed any other drinks. We were told that they were "short staffed" but had time to have their food,drinks & time on their phones & computer. We visited on beautiful Sunday afternoon, but probably won't return. read more

Decided to try Paradocx as a weekend afternoon date. We are by no means wine conisseurs, so this review focuses on the experience. There is indoor seating in the tasting room and outdoor seating on the patio overlooking the fields. Paradocx offers wine flights (4 wines) that come in a selection of all reds or all whites or a mix, whatever suits your tastes. Their best seller is a tea infused sweet called "T wine." The flights range in price from $8 to $13. We had a great time at a reasonable cost. Definitely will be back. read more

This is a great winery. Large variety of wines. Red, white, rose, dry, semi-sweet, sweet....to appeal to every palette. Even a white wine infused with black tea!!!! read more

This vineyard was one of the larger ones with a huge area outside to hang out in with both beer and wine to try out. The wine was not the okay, not the best that we tried on the trail and it was poured out of a plastic bag. On the weekend they had live music. read more

This was my first time at Paradocx after having visited a few other wineries nearby. My friend and I wanted to try this place out, so we stopped by this afternoon (it was totally empty). When we walked in, we were greeted by one of the servers who explained the flight options and that they were serving a wine and truffle pairing ($12). The flight was pre-chosen, which might be a turn-off for some, but I wanted to try a variety so the flight was fine for me. You can choose your own 4 wine flight also for $12 (the pre-chosen flight without the truffles was $10). After finishing the pairing I wanted to try another dry red, so I asked for any recommendations; our server brought over a few options for me to try until I picked one I liked to get a glass of. Glasses ranged in price from $6-$10. Everyone working here was great about letting us try samples of each of their wines; they were pleasant and very helpful. The outdoor area is vast and looks like a great time during the warmer months. Today was pretty chilly, but my friend and I sat outside by a fire pit and enjoyed the decent late-February weather. We both can't wait to come back for one of their concerts or other events during the spring/summer. Overall great experience. read more

I thought this was one of the best wineries on the trail. Went here with a group of friends last year. We sat outside for our tasting and luckily we were the only ones there. The person that gave the tasting was very nice and funny. I loved the wines so much! The iced tea wine was very interesting. They also have wines you can buy in a paint can. It's in a more rural part, so lots of trees and rolling hills. It's also owned by a group of doctors, hence the name. I would totally recommend this winery to anyone. Make sure to go when the weather is nice so you can sit outside! read more

I've seen them at several festivals but I'm always working so I've never been able to try their wines. Finally, a day off and doing some wine tasting. Checked their website, open until 6pm. Got there at 4:45pm, and waited at the bar next to a larger group to reach the tasting bar. The bartenders, who saw us walk in, seemed to not care about us waiting and tried not to make eye contact. Finally acknowledged after another 10 minutes by the pourer only to be told that they stop tasting at 5pm! We mentioned that we had been waiting at the bar since 4:45 to do a tasting, but they didn't care and were firm on stopping tastings at 5pm regardless. We were offered to buy a glass of wine or bottle but considering we've never had their wines, why on earth would I buy them? We ended up leaving without trying anything. Overall, a very poor customer service experience. And unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately) I can't comment on the wine! read more

Have had Paradocx wines for years from the farmers market, so we decided to go to the actual winery yesterday. There were about 7 people sitting at the bar and the one person they had working could only do 1 thing at a time, which caused very slow service. When the elderly gentleman finally got to us (2), there was another woman who was behind us. We told him what we wanted (2 sweet flights) after explaining that we were not with her (when it was very obvious we were not), and he asked us if he could wait on her 1st since she was exchanging 2 buckets of wine. Since we had already waited a good 10 minutes we agreed bc, what's another 5, right? After she left he came over to our table and proceeded to ask us what we wanted like it was his 1st time seeing us. We told him again, 2 sweet flights. After finally receiving them, We had a chance to sit back and observe. There was obviously another bartender sitting at the bar who proceeded to go behind the bar and help herself and her guest to beer but never offered to help the poor older gentleman. Either you are working, or you arent-That's not fair to everyone who is waiting to have watched that. We also observed at least one other person who came and waited for several minutes with no acknowledgement so they turned around and left. It was literally like he had blinders on. We were about to leave because we were waiting to get another full glass of wine but he kept waiting on other people, When he finally acknowledged us, we asked for one glass of the peach tea and he brought over 2 glasses. Rather than complain we just drank them and got out of there with no purchases. Very disappointing visit. Esp compared to 1723 right down the road who were very happy to have us, attentive, and friendly, And we ended up making our wine purchases there. read more

We had the pleasure of visiting this Vineyard (6/20/2009) and we were accorded a terrific time! The wine selection was excellent... a number of varieties were offered for tasting. Our group varied in opinion with regard to the wine. It was obvious we all had different tastes in wine and that is half the fun. And, fun we had! The Vineyard staff was pleasant and accommodating. Our particular "host" seemed knowledgeable and affable. By the way, the live music was outstanding and I must commend the group (The Cole Younger Band?) for their grit, determination and enthusiasm... playing through a driving rainstorm... I wish we lived closer... I will have to get future Paradocx wines through mail order... The 'wine in a paint can' concept is a great idea! very creative. Also, the creative marketing includes wine splits that can be personalized. They illustrated "wedding photo" wines that make great keepsakes for impending nuptials. All in all, our visit was terrific. In the future, it would be nice to visit more of the area vineyards. read more

This is a winery that I need to return to. My first visit was extremely crowded and hectic. There was some sort of party, BBQ, festival thing going on that took away from the experience. I get claustrophobic easily and there was just too many people and I needed to rush through my tastings. Let me be clear, the staff didn't rush me through the tastings, I just felt I needed to rush to get out of the crowd. I'm hoping my return trip will be less crowded. That being said, the wines I tried were all good. The large "bottles" are actually paint cans with spigots on them for pouring. They were a little pr icy for the quality, but again, I need to return for a better experience. read more
