The cost seemed excessively high for a first-time visit. Unclear billing for visit time: The doctor charged for an additional 30 minutes of consultation, but I was waiting for over 20 minutes before the appointment started. It felt like the billing didn't align with the actual service time. Customer service/front desk issues: The front desk staff was unprofessional. I had a phone conversation with them that ended abruptly with the staff hanging up while we were still talking. Additionally, I felt that the staff member was not patient when I asked for clarification on my questions. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and the tone of the conversation became increasingly impatient. While I cannot say for sure, this interaction made me feel uncomfortable, and I wonder if there might have been a lack of patience due to factors like communication barriers.

She is very thorough with her assessments and writes everything down to make sure she won't miss anything. She takes her time when doing my son's check-up and is always so happy to see us. On my son's 2nd week he hasn't gained much weight so Dr. Amy was calling us and making sure that my son is doing fine. She told us to get my son weighed in for free at the Lactation Center so we don't need to come in her office and get charged with the office visit fee. Everytime I have a question she is easily reached by phone or by email and she replies very promptly. We are very happy to have Dr. Amy, I would recommend her to all moms out there!

Once we completed the blood work I later found out when trying to see her result that we did blood work that had nothing to do with her alopecia and it was for kids who are starting school. I was so mad. How can you make that mistake? I ended up talking to Dr. Troung and he told me he would request for my daughter to do another blood work with the correct lab test. I don't know if it was the doctor's mistake or the front desk but my daughter is only 4 and having her redo blood work again in the same month was the worst. On top of that my insurance bills me the second time for almost 2k. The front desk said my insurance would cover it. The front desk girl would never call me to update me on anything. I'd have to call multiples times just for her to have the answer already but never gave me a heads up. This place was very unprofessional. We have been to this center multiple times as the winter time has created a few viruses and every time we call we are prioritized, and advised as best as possible. They don't question us, and truly seek the best for our children. We complete their 6, 9 and 12 month vaccinations at this office. They failed to update the california registry with this information. So my new doctor did not have this importation information. When I reached out for this information they requested $30 for each child. This fee is unheard of at any other office! I am furious that they would have the audacity to take advantage of parents. To be honest our time in the office included LONG waits. 4 out of the 6 visits was with a different doctor because Dr. Puri was either out of the country or recovering from surgery. Inconsistency in the doctors means our boys were being mixed up constantly! At least that the impression we received during our first visit that lasted close to 2 hours!!! When asking for tests and lab work to be done, the doctor refused. As parents, we know our kids and simply made a request for diagnostic test to figure out what their issues are. My son had headaches for a few months, the doctor blew it off as too much screen time. He had a subdural bleed in his brain and needed emergent brain surgery to relieve pressure approx 1 week later. My wife pleaded with her to do a scan at this appointment. The doctor refused and said limit screen time and take some Tylenol. My daughter had leg pain, but no outward physical injury was noted. She did an xray after we told her it is not a bone break. The doctor did not even do a simple physical that would have indicated severe scoliosis and pressing on the nerve. She sent us off with no answers. After my son fell ill, the doctor felt a sense of guilt and tried to get us to come back to get referral for neurology. Something she should have done the first visit. So, we asked ourselves, is she incompetent or just looking for money from multiple visits. We are now seeking treatment elsewhere. I implore any parent to always check into the doctors reviews. Ask questions and insist on in depth evaluations. Ask for a complete system assessment.
