After being discharged from the hospital, we couldn't reach our original pediatrician, but we're so glad we found Dr. Truong! His location is bit far from our home but he is worth the drive. He is incredibly knowledgeable and caring, especially towards our son and I'm sure he's the same with all of his patients. He is also a very funny doctor, always making us feel so welcome and at home. He doesn't hold back and will address any concerns without hesitation. As first-time parents, everything is new to us, and we were definitely anxious about doing anything wrong for our son. I switch pediatrics because my children's previous doctor became out of network. Our first visit was with Dr. Nigam, I explained to her my daughter has been loosing hair (most likely alopecia), so she ordered for blood work to get to the root cause. Once we completed the blood work I later found out when trying to see her result that we did blood work that had nothing to do with her alopecia and it was for kids who are starting school. I was so mad. How can you make that mistake? I ended up talking to Dr. Troung and he told me he would request for my daughter to do another blood work with the correct lab test. I don't know if it was the doctor's mistake or the front desk but my daughter is only 4 and having her redo blood work again in the same month was the worst. On top of that my insurance bills me the second time for almost 2k. The front desk said my insurance would cover it. The front desk girl would never call me to update me on anything. I'd have to call multiples times just for her to have the answer already but never gave me a heads up. This place was very unprofessional. I even tried making an appointment for my son because he had things all over his face and the front desk girl said she'd have Dr. take a look if I sent a photo and would call me back afterwards. Never called me back, few days later once my son's symptoms cleared, I get an email saying they sent over medication to my pharmacy. Like what kind of business is this. I'm currently going to another pediatrician. If you guys want a place that is on top of everything do not come here. It was so stressful and such a mess with the front desk. read more

Just from Central Valley, California, and I was really nervous for my daughter that we wouldn't be able to find a good pediatric for her. But I am so incredibly grateful that we did. We have been to this center multiple times as the winter time has created a few viruses and every time we call we are prioritized, and advised as best as possible. my both girls been his patient seen they just new born babies,now my 1st one is 8 year old,my second one is almost 5...I have to choose my new pediatrician today after I met him again, very disappointed about the service they are,coz my oldest daughter appointment not in there system today,even I did ready booked from last year for her at 10:30 am for this day,and they did change a new location from a old one...with no accnouncement for me,I had drove 2 places from the old to the new place almost 11:00 am ,I do have appointment for myself to having X-ray next appointment at 11:30 am,with my blood test too at 1:00pmand my first child she do need go see her dentist at 1:30pm... because of him all my appointment very to much behind...I hAve to come back other days for my appointment because of him ..so much waisted my time,so horrible. read more

My husband and I are very pleased with our new pediatrician Dr. Truong (correct spelling, other reviews spelled his name wrong). I looked him up on the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans, and he is in-network. I wanted a doctor closer to home/daycare and his office is very close. So made an appointment for a consultation at lunch and even though it was just supposed to be 10 min consultation, he was with us for a very long time, 40 min to answer our questions and address our concerns. We were sold! I've had the following planned visits, each time it was easy to schedule an appointment with my working hours: younger baby: 4 mon, 6 mon older toddler: 2 yr flu shots for both children and myself One time, my younger son had red dots all over on a Sunday evening, i took a picture, emailed it to this office and wrote that i would call on monday morning to schedule an appointment. Monday morning, they called me first! I was so surprised and very cared for. The doctor checked heartbeat, lungs, throat, ears, temp, etc...and told us not to worry because we just have to wait out this virus. The baby was still happy, eating well, sleeping well...it can't be measles, mumps, or roseola or anything worrisome. so anyway, that was my measles scare and the doctor and the staff were so patient and professional and nice to me during that stressful time. I'm quite thankful for this local doctor. They also give gummy bears for treats, =) i think they do have a specific reason, but i forgot, our family loves gummy bears. read more

I switched doctor because my previous pedia was not that good interacting with kids and lacking of compassion as well. I choose this place because of good doctor's review. The doctor is very friendly and seems genuinely good with kids my older son told me that he likes his new doctor . The only reason I gave this 4 stars because of the assistants/front desk are not that friendly with kids. They didn't even offer some stickers or sort of price after having their shots . No reminder of your schedule also , so make sure to put that on your calendar.If the assistants from my previous pedia and doctor from this place would be working together then I'll give this place 5 stars and I would be a very satisfied parent. Dr Tim is by far the best doctor I have come across. He is a very knowledgable doctor, and has the best bed side manners I have ever seen in a doctor! He is the pediatrician for both my kids, we love him! Some people are blessed with healing hands and Dr Tim is definitely one of them. You will not regret making him your PCP...he is just wonderful! Cherry on top is his support staff.. Sally was so extremely helpful, dealing with insurance enquiry, hooking us up with a back up pediatrician etc. She went out of her way each time I called for help.. how I wish Dr Tim saw adults...I wouldnt think twice before switching to him. :( read more

You will not find a better, more caring and wonderful pediatrician. Dr. Truong is the best doctor I have ever encountered. Every mother, especially new mothers are always a nervous wreck when their child is sick and needs a doctor who is attentive, patient and knowledgable. My prerequisite while looking for a pediatrician was one that I was able to communicate with easily either via phone, email or text message, even after hours or on weekends. My 16 month old started daycare last November and has been sick literally 75% of the time. Most recently he contracted the RSV virus and resulted in also having pneumonia and bronchiolitis. Dr. Truong has been so wonderful through this traumatic experience. I have been able to communicate with him any time of day and he has made recommendations and medical advice when I needed him most, even in the late evenings. Dr. Truong takes his time with his exams and has given me the otoscope (ear scope) to view the fluid in my son's ear explaining how to distinguish between a viral vs. bacterial infection, as well as the stethoscope to listen to my son's lungs, explaining how to listen for the fluid in the lungs or "rales" in pneumonia. I have never met a doctor who has gone above and beyond to educate me this thoroughly before. We have been between medical insurances, so we have been paying out of pocket for all of our exams. Dr. Truong has been so amazing as to take our financial struggle into consideration and helping us reduce our medical bills as much as possible. Not many doctors would do that or even care about your financial situation. Mai, the receptionist is kind and accommodating while scheduling our exams. She never forgets to call to remind me of our upcoming visits. I couldn't speak more highly of this practice and Dr. Truong. Dr. Truong sat with me for almost an hour asking information about my baby and explaining different reasons for why she had a horrible diaper rash. My other doctor just asked me to send a photo and would send in a prescription to the pharmacy, and never took the time to actually sit with me, a new mother, and explain different things. Its been about 6 months since we had rainbow medical as our primary pediatric place for our kids (2 and 4 year old) and our experience has been great. Doctor spends time , does not rush, listens to the patient, does not push for high dosages of medicines. Only downside is that there is just 1 doctor and if he is on vacation and you want to see a doctor in person walk in clinics are the only option. I am so happy that I found Dr Truong. Due to a recent change with all of my 3 kids previous Dr since birth, I was very skeptical that I would find another Dr that can provide the same care.
