I'm afraid she is the last among a dying breed - the doctor…read morewith an independent office, who does a full systems review whenever you come in, and inquires about your health and life even unrelated to endocrinology. Some have argued she has the time to do these things because she doesn't take insurance and charges you for time spent. This is true. However, it's worth it to me to have at least one doctor who understands the full me, and I don't mind paying for it. She has done a wonderful job of tracking my nutritional deficiencies and helping me rectify them, and helping me manage my hypothyroidism. Today I am feeling better than I ever have before in both of those departments. What I love about her most is that she will discuss any problem I am having and doesn't stick to her endocrinology "silo." She keeps in contact with my doctors, too, so they know what is happening with me. I appreciate that I don't need to make a separate appointment to ask my primary care doctor about say, a question with my ear. During the pandemic, she has been doing a lot of phone visits, which is great. I hope she continues this into the future so I don't have to trek from San Jose to Los Altos to see her and discuss lab results.

I've been with Dr. Thomas several years - through 3 or 4 moves of her office. Initially I was…read morethankful for the time she'd spend getting to the bottom of my fatigue. She also sent me to a specialist for fibromyalgia in 2009. My biggest complaint is when you know you're going to need a thyroid panel, you have to make a $250 appointment to get the lab order, understandable because she doesn't want to miss anything, but then you also have to make another appointment to get the results, even when all is well. I wish they'd tell you when you're lab numbers are off and what the concern is, rather than making you wait another two or three months for an appointment to get the lab results! I've gone through months of worry wondering what was wrong, only to finally get in there and be told all looks fine (then pay another $250! She doesn't bill insurance and wants payment in full on each visit). As a patient you have to be proactive here and call and call to get appointments, lab results, etc. The office will not call you, even to let you know they have your lab results. For as many years as I've gone to see Dr. Thomas each time she behaves as though we're meeting for the first time wanting all my history again and again! "Who diagnosed your fibromyalgia?" "You did Doctor, 6 years ago" Even "Who diagnosed Hashimotos?" when she's been treating me for it for years!! Scary! She seems very preoccupied. She's very old school in terms of treating Hashimoto's and auto-immune disease. She doesn't like prescribing NDTs, doesn't believe in or know how to treat other complications of having an autoimmune disease, like the fatigue, tissue damage or joint pain or how to keep inflammation in check. Never talked about the benefits or problems with certain foods, etc. Sad to say but I would not recommend this office.

I was unable to focus, had horrible headaches and brain food and was unable to move. My primary simply put me on pain medications and sleep medications for the nightmares. I felt like I was in a trance and that I was not getting better at all. Having law school applications and a busy schedule, being bed ridden was extremely disheartening. This led to increased anxiety and depression. I felt like my primary did not understand what I was going through and was simply treating my symptoms leading to adverse side effects. After this horrible experience, I began to consult with Dr. Green who listened to what I was going through and started me on a comprehensive regime of supplements along with lifestyle changes. Within a few weeks, I had my focus back and my concussive symptoms such as the brain fog had decreased. Dr. Green also helped me to cope with the side effects of the pain medications I was on such as the constipation and tiredness that comes along with narcotics. Within a few weeks, I felt much more like myself and am forever grateful that she took the time to treat me as a person rather than a set of symptoms. Dr. Green has also performed PIT injections and acupuncture on me for pain as well as for my migraine headaches. She is extremely knowledgeable in treating you for a wide variety of medical problems with quite an expansive tool belt for wholistic, comprehensive care that leave no stones unturned. The telemedicine option also provides for greater flexibility if you have a busy schedule like me. Not only is Dr. Green knowledgeable in the field of naturopathic medicine, but on top of this she is extremely caring, a good listener and most importantly kind. Unlike traditional doctors who are on a time and expense crunch to treat the patient as quick as possible, Dr. Green will take her time to get to know you beyond your systems. Having worked in health care for many years, this is something that is extremely hard to come by. If you are looking for personalized empathetic medical care, she is the doctor for you. I highly recommend booking an appointment because rather than a transactional experience, with Dr. Green's care, you are part of a partnership and friendship to get yourself to optimal health and wellness. I truly believe that if it wasn't for Dr. Green's care that I would not have gotten into law school this past year and that I would have lost a year being stuck on medications with adverse effects. For that, I'm extremely grateful!! Everyone deserves to feel at their best and Dr. Green will help you get there.

I'm glad I don't have cancer, but that answer really didn't help! Thankfully someone told me about Dr. Green. Within a couple of visits, I felt real change. She ran some tests, then broke it all down for me along with some suggestions on next steps. She's very friendly, a great listener, and I finally feel like I have a health expert in my corner who wants me to thrive. I have more energy than I've had in years - I highly recommend Dr. Green!

The doctor, Lorisa, was speaking very quickly and sometimes stumbling over her words, which made it difficult for me to translate everything correctly. When I asked her to repeat herself so I could properly understand and translate for my mom, she seemed bothered. At one point, she got very close to my face and looked at me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. My mom and I both noticed her attitude and felt like she was frustrated with us. I understand that doctors are busy and have many patients, but that is not an excuse to make patients or their family members feel uncomfortable for simply asking questions and trying to understand what is being discussed. This is someone's health and potentially someone's life, so communication should be taken seriously. Because the doctor seemed bothered by me helping translate, she eventually sent a supervisor who spoke Spanish. The supervisor, Frania (I apologize if I misspelled her name), was extremely kind, patient, and helpful. However, she explained many things to my mom that the doctor had not gone over, including information about the list, costs, and other important details. This unfortunately made me look bad to my mom because I was trying to help her understand, but the doctor had not explained everything to us in the first place. I truly appreciate Frania for being so respectful and taking the time to communicate with my mom. Unfortunately, the doctor's attitude and the lack of communication made this experience very disappointing. Having a job where you care for people is important, but the way you treat your patients matters just as much as the medical care itself. Please have patience and consideration for others, especially when there is a language barrier.
