Dr. Tsuchiyose came in afterward and we discussed things a bit further, as well as moving forward with the procedure. The actual colonoscopy didn't happen here; it took place at the SOAR Surgery Center next-door to The Westin San Francisco Airport hotel. For several years, I had been dealing with irritable bowel syndrome (alternating constipation and diarrhea), constant bloating (severe enough to make me look 6 months pregnant, even on an empty stomach), gas pains, and abdominal discomfort. In addition, I was noticing unintentional weight gain that I couldn't lose despite diet and exercise, worsening anxiety and brain fog, chronic fatigue, and irregular sleep. Prior to seeing Dr. T, I had visited both a functional medicine doctor and gasteroenterologist at Duke University Hospital; however, none of the interventions I was prescribed, including dietary changes, conventional antibiotics, and probiotics, led to even the slightest improvement in my symptoms. Consequently, I had high hopes that Dr. T could offer more effective treatments, as well as figure out what exactly was causing my GI symptoms. As a new patient, I felt that Dr. T's staff was difficult to work with, because it took a while to sort out insurance coverage and schedule my initial appointment. However, my consultation and subsequent follow-up appointments with Dr. T turned out to be quite fruitful. As it turned out, Dr. T diagnosed me with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), leaky gut, and gastritis, all of which were most likely contributing to the GI symptoms I was struggling to control for years. Based on previous lab tests and prior interventions I had tried at Duke, Dr. T placed me on a step-by-step approach to help heal my GI tract. At first, I was prescribed supplements to treat my SIBO. Next, I was placed on another regimen to heal my leaky gut. In between appointments, Dr. T also ordered a repeat endoscopy, the purpose of which was to assess my stomach function and obtain tissue biopsies. Then, based on the endoscopy results, he recommended additional medications to strengthen my stomach and treat my gastritis. Lastly, he recommended an easy-to-digest diet to follow while on his healing protocol. From my initial appointment with Dr. T (back in September 2021) up until now, I have felt significant improvements in my gut health. Though I hesitate to say I am 100% healed, granted I still experience a couple of flare-ups throughout the month, I have noticed much less bloating, improved digestion after my meals, better tolerance of common food triggers (namely gluten), and more regular bowel movement patterns. Moreover, I slept better, felt less anxious, and even lost a couple of the pounds I had gained. I'm very fortunate to have been one of Dr. T's patients. It's evident that Dr. T puts a lot of care and attention to treating his clients, though a couple of criticisms I have are: *the supplements he prescribed me really added up over time. Given that I had to take them over the course of several months, buying enough to last me the duration of the treatment ended up being pretty expensive. *because Dr. T sees many other patients, I noticed that he often forgot which treatment regimens I completed vs. did not complete. This meant that during my follow-up appointments, I had to remind him of the supplements he had prescribed me at my last follow-up. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. T, especially for those struggling with digestive issues like SIBO.

As Dr. Hoddinott had good reviews, I gave her office a call telling them that both my wife and I (40ish,very healthy, great insurance) are looking for a new doctor. I was told by the receptionist (this was 16 days ago) that the doctor would review our request and I would hear back from them the next day. I didn't. So I call back and another person tells me that "it can take several days for the doctor to make a determination about a new patient. She has lots of things on her desk". At this point I already have a bad feeling about the doctor and her staff if it takes them several days to get back to a new patient. But I thought I would perhaps get a call after a week. Nope.. Two Weeks? Uh-uh. It's not two weeks plus and no call-back. The doctor might be wonderful with patients. Unfortunately, for me the process of getting in to see her was a major turnoff. Doctor Hoddinott, work with your staff on a much better process for people who WANT to give you business. I am still looking for that elusive general physician!

Yes I felt it was an urgent problem or I wouldn't have bothered with this ridiculous exercise of trying to see the doctor. I have seen this Doctor for years, what a complete failure on him and his office. The emergency room is overflowing with sick people, a 10 minute appointment would have helped me tremendously. I suffered for 2 weeks before passing a stone. Hopefully there is no other damage. But if there is a will hold him and his office responsible. Complete lack of service.

I asked Datalink ITS (record keeper company) to send my complete medical history to his office. The form I filled out to authorize the release asked me for Dr. Damon Lee's office address and fax #. The form did not specify how they will deliver my records. I tried to get Dr. Lee's office email but the receptionist roared, "We don't have an email here!" then hang up. Nevertheless, they ended up faxing a 150 page to his office. His office called me hysterical about the whole thing yelling at me to make it stop. Frantically, I called Datalink and left a message, and also emailed them. Moreover, Dr. Damon Lee's office called me back and continuously yelled at me because Datalink could not stop the fax. I was also informed after being scolded that because of this, Dr. Damon Lee is refusing to see me. I was stunned and distressed with their decision not to see me because of this error made by a third party. I explained that this should not affect their decision to see a patient. I reported this incident to the Medical Board of California because I believe a physician should not refuse to see patients for inconsequential incidents such as this. The lady at the front desk is extremely vicious (I am using a nice word here). I can't even express in words how she screamed at me and didn't even let me speak. I have…read moreabsolutely no doubt that she would not be alive today, and thriving as well as she is, if it were not for the consistent and brilliant care provided by Dr. Lee. My mother had a bad fall recently and had to be taken to the hospital Emergency Room. Although they checked her out and prescribed pain medication, they really didn't provide any advice for improving her health. Dr. Lee called us the very next day - as soon as he received the report from the hospital - and provided all the critical information that we needed to help my mother get better. Dr. Lee also arranged for in home health care visits by nurses and physical therapists to ensure a complete recovery. We would have never known how to arrange any of those kinds of medical visits. I wish I could give one million stars in my review because Dr. Lee deserves them. I appreciate that my 93 year old mother is feeling much better and is able to walk more each day - all because of Dr. Lee. His office staff of Barbara , Rosa , and everyone are truly wonderful too. They are always so sweet and patient when we are in for office visits. They have helped me so much in dealing with my mother's (often difficult) prescription medication mail service provider. So I wasn't taken into the exam room until 5:30. Finally, Dr. Nikolaj hurried in and started sticking me with the needle; it was painful, and I was bleeding from several puncture sites. He wiped me away the trickling blood with the plastic gloves he was wearing. We exchanged a few words before he told me I could leave; I stood there, dripping blood. I asked for an alcohol wipe, but he directed me to the restroom in the hallway, outside the office. So I asked the receptionist for a wipe, and she pulled a packet containing a wet wipe out of her purse. It is a medical office with a high risk of contagion.
