What could improve is the parking enforcement in Paramount for areas where a parking permit is needed. For example INDIANA Ave between Jackson and Monroe where people that have no permit park and put the people that actually live here out with no parking. This by far is the cleanest city hall that I've ever set foot in. The place is a model of efficient and organization. The crew is well trained, knowledgeable, friendly, and possesses superior "citizens" service skills. Once bitten twice shy, I walked in this AM to address some business license issues expecting red tape, headaches and delays (previous experience with other city halls). To my delight, I was in and out, mission accomplished, in under 10 minutes. I salute the management and crew at Paramount City Hall. Keep up the good work. After quickly going through the quarterly "Paramount Around Town" residents magazine a few days ago, I was pleased to read about plans to revitalize the corner of Alondra and Paramount with new businesses and "fast-casual' and a sit-down restaurant. It mentioned Applebee's, The Habit, Waba Grill, and a "fast-casual" chain that will border an outdoor dining patio. Now I understand why The Rosewood Restaurant was dark and looking like it is ready for demolition, that corner is most likely where this new Restaurant Plaza will be built. Another area with a new outdoor dining area will be in the redesigned Town Center West, the shopping area anchored by Northgate Market and other retail shops. These buildings will all be getting facelifts in the near future. They will welcome Yogurtland and Auto Zone. The magazine also mentions the Paramount Farmer's Market that is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bianchi Theater parking lot at 14409 Paramount Blvd, south of Rosecrans Ave. Go early and get your organic and regular fruits and vegetables direct from the farmers. You can also buy prepared and packaged goods like dried fruits, baked items, peanuts and honey. This city must be hurting for money! I received a parking citation from them from 2 years ago! I had a mechanic in Paramount work on my vehicle in 2016 and these dumb mechanics parked my truck on a residential on street sweeping day! Just barely getting a notice of it now. After numerous phone calls to get this resolved, no one could help me dismiss it. The parking citation place basically told me it has to be paid. The mechanic said he would take care of it, and never did. The city is useless. I had to front the bill...for something I didn't even do. So paramount Blvd has street sweeping twice a week. Now if you live on paramount Blvd by the 105 then you k ow that there isnt a lot of parking on the street. So we all have to try to find parking on side streets and not all of us get lucky. I think its dumb but whatever. So Edison or who ever is supposed to be working today and tomorrow from 7am-4pm on both sides of the street. Yet no one is here working and its 10 am. Persons in the offices at the City Hall are very nice, they still couldn't help with our problem. They did give me a number of an office volunteer. Paramount City Hall's policies do not reflect the needs of their constituents. The policies I speak of is the ones that concern senior housing improvement. Low income or handicapped Seniors be aware that if you own or live in a condo or townhouse or Mobile home. not have property tax underneath you. Rip off using their paramount park auditorium for an event expect us to decorate during our event hours or pay an extra 210 for additional hour plus pay an extra hour for security guard to go watch us decorate!!! Ridiculous rules no empathy for anything last time I use this place for an event. Nothing can be moved around the day of. I believe if I'm paying for event hours they should be strictly for the event not for my decoration that should be included at no additional cost!!!! Like every other place. Paramount: All-American City. ..Superb community and recreational activities for residents of all ages. Great schools that provide after - school enrichment opportunities for the children. There has been an influx of new retail stores and restaurants in the last few years. Santa even stops by to spread the Christmas spirit. . the City of Paramount is a great place to live. . read more

I've worked in this city for the past 3 years..it is accessible by the 105, 710 &91 fwys. Everything is literally '15 min away'. City includes great lil restaurants that serve their guest with pride. Overall, a friendly city to live in. read more

so where do i start.... 1. picky ass city counsel. not to mention confused. we had to change our sign multiple signs because the city can't decide what size and length the store sign should be. so they're making use spend a total of $1,800. they're not even going to help with some of the money even though they are the ones that approved the first sign and then they tell us to change it. 2. massive amounts of harassment to change our sign. it's not like we have thousands of dollars to change and re-change and re-change the sign just because they are confused on what the signs should look like. they keep calling and sending notices harassing and threatening us. why can't we keep the sign we have? the city isn't paying our rent or for the sign. fucking assholes!!!! 3. so then we ask, can we have other temporary signs or banners in place of the sign during the re-construction of the sign, and they say no. fucking jerk offs. they approve of the business to be here but they won't lets us advertise properly. if we have no sign, we have no business, which leads to no rent, which then in turn means one less business for the CITY OF PARAMOUNT to make money. stupid stupid ignorant city of paramount. oh yeah, i dont know her name but watch out for the black chic that comes out inspects the building. so freakin anal and so unreasonable. read more
