As you wander further in, the large aquarium connected to the children's section is another standout -- it adds this calm, magical feel to the space. I grabbed a magazine and found a quiet window seat, and those 30 minutes of zero calls, zero texts, zero noise? Pure heaven. I didn't realize how much I missed just sitting and reading without a single interruption. Before heading out, I checked out the psychology and cooking sections, and it reminded me how much I've always loved libraries and bookstores. The whole visit made me want to get a library card and come back once a month just to enjoy that peaceful moment. I could've spent hours just checking out each section. Parking was easy and sufficient. Staff was very nice, accommodating and attentive throughout the booking process and all the way through to event day and after. We had a great experience and would totally recommend this venue for any occasion! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

The whole park is clean and well maintained - no trash scattered on the ground and parking lot. During the week there are not a lot of people exercising and playing sports. The only time I have seen it pack is when people stop by to eat their lunch at the tables. There are not a lot of tables and chairs to hold a party so you definitely need to bring your own. There are no coverings for the tables and very little shade. The playground is never full and they have a variety of equipment to play from. If you want to train your dog I suggest this park as I have not seen plenty of pets walking or playing. You can have a whole grass area to you and your pet to train and exercise during the early hours before crowds arrive. The parking is small and I have seen people park in the neighborhoods across the street - be careful you do not get a parking ticket. This park is not in street view and you will miss it if you are not familiar with the area. The location is towards a neighborhood which is nice as there are little traffic and parking is easy. I would skip this park for nice, professional photography there are no beautiful landscapes or art anywhere in the park. All you have are trees (which are very little in the whole park) and green grasses.

There is also a sculpture garden at the Civic Center as well as plenty of free parking. City Hall is where you go for such things as obtaining a business license, getting permits for building or remodeling, paying your water bill or getting information on recreation services. It's also here that you will find the City Council Chambers where meetings are held. There is a dolphin fountain in front of City Hall that children play in on hotter days. The Sheriff Station also includes the Community Safety office where you can obtain special permits for overnight parking in residential areas. The Library is amazing with themed sections and an entryway that includes a huge aquarium. The park has a dirt track that's wide enough so that people can shuffle or sprint here without interfering with one another. The trees and plants are also gorgeous, and there are signs everywhere explaining why these particularly (local) species were selected and how the local watershed works. There are large concrete benches/stairs on the southern end of the track, so there's plenty of space to sit and watch even if you're not joining your exercising friends.
