So this is the dream team for me at Paramount Dental - Dr. Abu, Cindy, Lisa and the Administrative professional team, Charleigh and Megan. They are all so very nice and helpful. I have been coming here for about 20 years and think these people are the best. Recently, I had a tooth that needed to be fixed and an old bridge replaced. Dr. Abu saw me on a Friday and because he was worried that I would have to eat with a temporary bridge on for Thanksgiving, he had the new bridge expedited over from the lab. In two days time, the bridge arrived and the work was done. Cindy works with Dr. Abu and together they are a skilled team. In addition, they always make sure I am comfortable and my preferences are met. They are caring and kind and do excellent work. I highly recommend them. read more

My husband and I just had the Dental Hygienist, TIffany Washburn, clean our teeth. She did an amazing job and really noted all the "trouble areas" that needed to be addressed and took the time to show us the products to use to keep out teeth healthy. While this dental facility has the latest technology they pass that cost onto the patients. As a patient here I have been double charged and not reimbursed, given a dental 'savings plan' that costs way more than I save, canceled on by the dentist, and shamed for my teeth. This dental office is the best I have been to in many years. The staff is wonderful. Its clean has a great view of the water from your exam chair, and they use the latest and greatest technology for all procedures. They make you feel comfortable. They also give you treatment options but never push the treatments on you. They always give you straight-up feedback and advice. Its a great place. read more

My family was with Paramount for many years. And we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with Dr. D. Unfortunately, things changed several years ago. It started when I would request a specific hygienist. But each time it would be someone different and I was never notified in advance. My family members would specifically request Dr. D. Again, the requests were never honored and no notice that Dr. D was unavailable was provided. The newer doctor seemed to press new services continually (e.g. Invisalign) which got a bit old. Family members were told they had cavities. Yet, on the next appointments no mention was given to any present cavities. Family members' crown work seemed to fail prematurely and they were subsequently repaired by another dental practice. We also had errors in billing that were unacceptable. It's a shame we had to find another dental practice. But the clinic is no longer the one we enjoyed for so many years. read more

I guess all started when they didn't tell me that my usual Dental hygienist wasn't available anymore. They put me with a new person. It was until I asked why when they told me that she was gone. This person was not good. I even found something when returning home. So I decided to change on the next appointment. But they also changed me to another Dentist. He was OK but I am still surprised that it takes just 3 minutes and they charge a lot. But that's another thought hahaha The next time I asked what happened when I saw the same Dentist and they told me that Del Rosario was super busy. I mean come on, I made that appointment months ahead and confirmed!!!! This last time happened the same and they gave me an opposite diagnostic. I don't remember what they asked me and that was like a flag to keep pushing me into procedures. They told me a list of what I needed but something was highlighted: a crown. I got super fricked out because that is a huge deal at least for me. They even phoned me and gave me a quotation. Obviously I went to to one but to two second opinions and they told me totally the opposite. That what I needed was a super easy procedure. They even had done it super fast. They took the ti.e to explain each procedure and for the others, they told me to wait. I felt they wanted me to get a crown ($), Obviously the tooth would die because of all of this and will start to hurt. I would have to return and they will tell me that they need to kill the nerve and then use a new crown ($$). But this is what they hide from me. I felt so disappointed about Paramount. I don't know if I can trust them again!! :( So difficult to find the right doctor again :,( BTW, they new front desk lady needs more training. A friend of mine told me about this but didn't want to believe until she had a very bad attitude towards me. But I asked questions that she couldn't answer. I just got the worst dental service experience from here(in the kirkland office), my misery began during a routine dental check, the doctor recommended two fillings on my front teeth, they said it was needed to make my teeth bite better(I did not see anything wrong with my front teeth, but I was no expert, so I trusted them), what they did not tell me was that they would cut a very big hole in my teeth in the operation. I went ahead with the operation as recommended, but the fillings only lasted one day, now I finally found out they had done to my teeth. Naturally I wanted them to get this fixed. Before the fix operation, I explained to them that I preferred no more cut on my original teeth anymore, the doctor agreed to it,  but during the operation I can hear they were using the drill, I gestured several times to speak(they were doing operation in my mouth, I can't speak during the operation), they literally held me down, keep drilling, after the operation was done, they told me that they did not cut anything from my teeth. But now they do not say the fillings will help me bite better,  what they recommend is to not bite things like apples using my front teeth anymore. I wonder if there is any way I can report about this to prevent anyone else from suffering from the same experience. read more

I have appreciated fifteen years of excellent care from the team here. From regular cleanings to orthodontics, they have provided me the highest-quality care. The hygienists are top-notch and have consistently provided me pain-free, thorough cleanings and great tips (e.g. only rinse with neutral-colored mouthwash as the blue ones actually cause tartar build-up; I switched and, voila, stains immediately decreased). This was my first time at this dentist and I was very impressed with everything. The office reception was very helpful as I transferred my records to them as well as trying to set up an appointment with a busy schedule. The hygienist was very thorough, sweet, and explained everything she was doing along the way. She was sincere and took interest in me. The staff at the desk has always been friendly and professional. The hygienist is always first-rate I hesitate to mention any one of them but my last hygienist Sara along with Hanna provided me information on a mouthguard and how to use a whitener that I got without charge because of an existing credit that I was unaware of. Then called me back with instructions on how to use it. In addition, I have always been very satisfied with any required dental procedures. My teeth were a mess. Missing teeth, teeth broken in half, gaps that were wider than they ever should have been. Dr Del Rosario and his amazing staff have turned me into someone who LOVES to smile! He is gentile and considerate and will make sure you are always comfortable. Plus his soft humming while he is working always makes me laugh a little. For those afraid of the dentist or uncomfortable with seeing them, this office is for you!! My 4yr old also loved it and asks all the time if she can go to the dentist (hygienist in the making??) Dr. "D" and his staff have been serving my dental needs for a number of years. When I first started my oral hygiene was not the best. I'm not the best dental patient. I don't like rules and I don't like pain. They have a very gentle way about them. Over the years they have restored my teeth and old cavities and have even gotten rid of a few bad habits along the way. The change was so subtle that I did not even notice I was being coaxed into healthier habits. (they are sneaky!) The staff is very friendly and yet professional and efficient. I have always been very scared of the dentist, and usually avoid going to appointments because of my fear, but Quynh was AMAZING at making sure I had a positive experience during my first visit! She was very patient and understanding throughout the whole process - explaining to me why she was performing each step so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable, and even giving me extra breathing time between her tasks to ensure I did not feel overwhelmed. I have had such a great experience with Paramount Dental Center ever since I moved to the Seattle area several years ago! Even when I moved from Kirkland/eastside to Seattle/westside I continued to see them because I'm such a fan. They do great work-- I'm super happy with the health and look of my teeth. I contacted them regarding the EOB bills. It turned out I can just ignore the almost $400 bill I received. To be more detailed on the previous instance, I paid $280 out of pocket(total estimate around $1,555) for 5 composite fillings(very shallow, I didn't feel like I have cavities at all) which was estimated at $120 after insurance on their proposed treatment plan. read more

I'm surprise reviews are higher than what I experienced. I agree with another review regarding the scheduling process - numerous phone calls before any person picked up! Finally, when I was able to make an appointment, I was quoted for a specific price. When I came in to see the dentist for a particular tooth, I sat in the chair, inquired his opinion on another tooth which took an extra 45 seconds. Total examination time was 5 minutes, went to pay, and was charged an extra $70! I confronted front desk & the dentist, but they just told me that the quote they gave me was variable. Wish they gave me that disclaimer over the phone! Although everyone seemed polite, I will not be coming back. Definitely left feeling robbed. read more

Paramount Dental is one of the best dental office in the east side. Dr. Abu is my primary doctor and my primary hygienist is Quinn, but I have seen both Dr. Del Rosario and Dr. Parker as well. They are all very knowledgeable and willing to patiently spend time explaining things instead of rushing through appointments. Their office is very nice and, most importantly, they use up-to-date technology. I also really like their office staff (Alicia and her team) . My Girlfriend (a Dental Hygienist) had me come here to get Dental X-rays. Everything was great until they sent over the X-rays. The X-rays were non-diagnostic and when we asked to have a different style done so that they would be diagnostic, we were told we would have to pay again. I really don't think that was very fair, but if that's how they choose to run their Practice, that's their right. Other than that, the Customer Service was great, and the office itself had a good feel to it. read more

Dr Del Rosario is very friendly, and is located in a beautiful office overlooking the Kirkland waterfront. When dentists are a dime a dozen, you really look for something that distinguishes yours from the rest. He was schooled at the UW (go huskies!), and is fluent in English and Tagalog. Also, his office is state-of-the-art, and just feels clean all over. If you're looking for a new dentist, head this way. read more

Dr. Kosaka is an awesome dentist! I hadn't been to the dentist in about 3 years because the last time I went to get a filling done (at a different dentist down in the San Francisco area), it was really unpleasant. I have a hard time getting numb on my lower jaw. My last dental visit (the really bad one) involved 8 anesthetic injections in/around the tooth they were filling and I could still feel it a little bit, despite them assuring me that "they could get me numb". I've had a progressively harder time getting anesthetic to work on the lower jaw as I've gotten older. I came in to Dr. Rosario's office a few weeks ago for an initial exam and they told me I had to get a crown done for a cracked tooth...I was REALLY nervous b/c it was on the lower jaw and the crown procedure is lengthy and comprehensive (ie = medievally brutal). Dr. Kosaka assured me "We can get you numb". I told her that that's what every dentist tells me, but I've had a pretty rough history of mediocre dental pain management. Luckily for me, they had an appointment the very next morning, so I didn't have to sit around thinking about it for weeks. I was really nervous the next day on my way into the office. Dr. Kosaka gave me two injections (which she accomplished with minimal pain) and then gently tested my tooth to see if it was numb. I still had a bit of feeling so she gave me a third injection in a slightly different spot and it actually worked GREAT. 5 minutes later they were demolishing my tooth with their high-RPM dental weaponry and I didn't feel a thing! I tensely waiting around for that familiar "zing" of pain that I usually get at unexpected times during a tooth-drilling and it never came; I was totally numb in just the right spot. The whole crown procedure was great - the temporary crown stayed put for two weeks and the new crown is a really lovely piece of ceramic (or adamantium or whatever they use), that fits perfectly in my mouth and looks like one of my own bitey-chompers. I had a follow-up cleaning appointment with Quynh and that went extremely well, too. My teeth are sensitive and the last time I had a cleaning (again, years ago), they used the ultrasonic "water needle" to de-scale my teeth which was really painful. I told this to Quynh and she elected to use a manual scrapey-tool (these are technical terms, mind you), which was much, much easier on the teeth. She finished my cleaning in one visit instead of the two visits they thought it might take to clean up my mummy-mouth. All the wonderful women at Dr. Rosario's office have been fantastic, so far. Thanks a bunch to Viktorya, Quynh, and Dr. Kosaka for being so attentive to my anxiety and paying a lot of attention to difficulties with pain management. I might have to move back to San Francisco soon, and I will really miss them, but while I'm here, they will be my dental care experts. read more

My co workers recommend I try out paramount and I love them! The dentists are so gentle and as someone who gets nervous they are very kind and will take their time. You must pay up front (as in no payment plans), but they do such an amazing job it's worth it. They have new technologies and offer you a beverage when you arrive. I visited Dr Del Rosario for the first time recently. I've never knew you could have such a good experience. From check in till you leave, everyone was extremely helpful and very friendly. They took the time to review my insurance benefits before I even asked. When in the checkup, everyone was extremely gentle. I felt cared for. Came back for a deep cleaning which I hear can be quite painful in the wrong hands. Quinn took care of me and was excellent in every way. She was educational, careful, and gentle. I was surprised at how well it went. I highly recommend them and have already to my friends and family. Thanks guys!!! read more

Went to see Dr. Abu today for the first time. He took a lot of time to explain the procedure and made me feel absolutely comfortable. (If any of you knew me I'm always a nervous reck when it comes to seeing a dentist.) I had a couple fillings which were absolutely painless and for that I actually look forward going back for my up coming appointments. Care has been ok over the years but I always feel like they are upselling me on treatment that I don't need or need yet, under the guise that it's necessary. They also tried to charge me THREE $75 late appt cancellation fees from 1 appt! Had I not asked what my bill breakdown was, it would've been just buried in my cost of some treatment. read more

The 3yo crown I got here fell out for no reason and they wanted to charge me $1450 to replace it because insurance only covers crowns once every 7 years. No duh! If you'd done your job, it wouldn't have fallen out! Don't go here unless you want bad work at full price. read more
