This clinic provided me a FALSE POSITIVE molecular COVID test which had a ripple effect causing me to delay my return home. I recieved TWO negative COVID molecular tests within 24 hours of this clinic telling me I was positive for COVID. I kindly asked them to retest me at the time and verify their work, as I was showing no signs of sickness and was SHOCKED. They would not help me at all, and demanded I pay them another $150 to take the test again. Two employees there admitted there is an 11% chance of a false positive, but they would not verify their findings! I incurred about $1000 in damages (Hotel and flight rebooking) not to mention TONS of stress and anxiety due to them FALSELY telling me I have COVID. I will be contacting them tomorrow so they can make amends, but this has RUINED my vacation. DO NOT USE PARAMOUNT FOR COVID TESTING IF A FALSE POSITIVE WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON YOUR TRAVEL. I learned afterwards that Walgreens does exactly the same test for free. COMPLETE SCAM. $300 in tests wasted, and $1000 in damages. Hoping I don't need to take legal action against them and they will do the right thing and, at the very least, refund my two tests (me and my wife). UPDATE -- One of the owners contacted me and was kind enough to refund only one of the tests -- he claimed my wife could have flown home with her test and abandoned me during Thanksgiving. Great experience....nobody wants to visit an Urgent Care while on vacation, but it was pretty quick and seamless. Due to CoVid, they had some unique processes but the staff were actually compassionate and nice! Great customer service, PA was down to earth. I'm not sure why people are being negative about this clinic. If you arrive 5 min until close and they are locking up, is there a chance that your clock and the clinic clocks aren't set to the exact same time? Also, I think it's out of the staffs control what the wait times are. My experience was great. I was in and out in an hour on a Friday morning, they took my insurance, the staff were all great and very friendly. The PA Jen was very knowledgeable and took the time to really understand what my visit was for. She recommended some blood work just to be make sure I wasn't having any other issues that could lead to my visit, so a nurse Tiffany came in and took my blood. Normally I freak about getting my blood drawn, and I did a little but she was very good at making me feel comfortable and distracting me, before I knew it I was walking out and getting back to my Friday. Thanks to the awesome staff and thanks for having clinics like this so that if you can't get in with your GP you have a place to go and if you're on vacation you can get in and out. read more

Very efficient and family friendly service by the technician and attending doctor. Extremely happy with the unexpected visit while traveling to Florida. They could improve the overall operations and patient experience by offering appointments to help manage wait time. Our wait time was approximately 30 minutes so it wasn't too bad but it was busy when we first arrived with no empty seats in the waiting area, and the receptionist instructed us to wait in the car which we didn't have as travelers. By far the best urgent care experience i've ever had. Checking in was a breeze, normal wait time, the whole staff was nice. I had an ingrown toenail that was deep and infected and the doctor clearly explained the procedure and made me feel super confident in his abilities. He was honest about the fact it was going to hurt, and while it did, it was quick and I was out the door in no time. Came in after hurting my ankle on vacation. The woman who answered the phone was great and able to answer all my questions (X-ray capability, crutches for sale if needed). Sign in was simple, and by the time I finished filling out paperwork I was being brought to a room. The nurse was friendly and thorough while taking all vitals (and later for taking X-rays) Dr was great as well. Even took my blood pressure twice since It was a bit high to make sure It came down. Refused to make a 30 second phone call to my insurance company to get prior authorization. This would have had my prescription covered instead of paying out of pocket. Definitely would recommend this place over The Medical Concierge, who tried charging me $200-275, asking where I'm staying and my room number, and trying to write down my credit card info over the phone without telling me how much it would cost me or even mentioning insurance (which they dont take, by the way). I took a wildly embarrassing fall last week and, after 24 hours hoping the pain in my foot would disappear, I decided to go to an urgent care clinic. My experience at Paramount went just about as smoothly as possible. No insurance issues, and the wait to be seen was 15 minutes max. Side note: While I was waiting, I had to use the bathroom. I have low expectations for bathrooms no matter where I am. Imagine my delight when I saw that the room was clean, neat and organized. It's not the most important element of a healthcare facility, but it said something about the clinic's overall quality. The PA on duty, Jennifer, was terrific. She explained what was wrong (two fractures -- yikes!), showed me my x-ray and applied a water-activated plaster to keep my foot supported until I could see an orthopedist. I could tell she took pride in her work. Given the high level of care I received, I'm genuinely surprised by the negative feedback for this clinic. Either the rude nurse mentioned in another review wasn't working the night I went in, or she no longer works there at all. Also, no one should have to visit an urgent care clinic multiple times in just a few months. The people who do are the reason wait times become so ridiculous. read more

11/29. Attempted to get a covid test. There three step registration process too 3 hours. The link that was to supposed to be sent to get scheduled was not sent for 2 hours. I was told by the staff that this was a first come first served, walk in process. I sat in the car a watch a dozen people get in and out of testing, that arrived after I did. There was also a 45 minute stretch where no one was taken in or out of testing. Such is the status quo of socialized medicine. If you are in search of quality and timely care, keep looking. 4 hours now and still no test. read more

I didn't realize I had a sinus infection until this morning. We have plans for Islands of Adventure, so I crossed my fingers and hoped this facility could help me. They were so nice!!! From the nurses to the doctor that saw me, Dr. Kim, everyone was so kind and caring. Dr. Kim was terrific! Very relieved to have medicine to feel better for Universal. I agree with other reviewers about a negative star. I work ridiculous hours, so getting to a doctor during normal business hours is hectic. I attempted to check in here to be seen on April 10th. I raced here from work and managed to park in front of the business approximately 5 minutes before closing. I rushed out of my car, attempted to run up to the doors. Well, as I was coming up to the doors, one of the employees saw me and locked the doors closed before their posted closing time to prevent me from being seen. Not cool. If you have a closing time, you need to be accepting patients up until that time. That's horrible for someone in the medical field to do. They didn't see me. They didn't know what the problem was. Yet they were perfectly fine closing the doors. I could have had a serious issue and passed out in the parking lot for all they knew. I expect this type of behavior from a different type of establishment, but definitely not a medical care facility. After tugging on the door and being ignored, I attempted to call and my phone call was also ignored as it rang and rang. This place needs to be reported! read more

I was recently seen at Paramount in Davenport. Dr. Massey was very thorough and helpful and prescribed medicine for me. I was asked what pharmacy I dealt with- I gave them the information and was cashing out. I stepped outside and received two phone calls from CVS (who I did not want) that it was too early to refill the script (which I hadn't filled yet!) I went back in-asked it be sent to Walgreens and then began almost an 8 hour wait. Wasn't at Walgreens- finally went to Walgreens but couldn't be processed through insurance since it had been filled at CVS. Went to local CVS- not there either but one further away. Finally able to transfer it to the local one and filled but c'mon....8 hours and don't ask me where I want it to go if your system already determines it. All I can say is if you need a prescription-get a written one so you can take where you want it. All pharmacies are TOO busy for all of the calls I placed to try and find where it was-and for no reason. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Waited 25 minutes to get a room, another 10 to have a PA to come in for less than 2 minutes and take a medical history. 45 MINUTES later I finally went to the front desk to find out what was going on. They gave me zero information, didn't even apologize for the wait and just said that someone would see us soon. Had to go out again to get someone's attention to hopefully get vitals taken. Am now an hour and a half into this experience and have only had a finger prick test done for mono. Don't go here if you want a healthcare provider that cares if you have a 101 degree fever. read more

The wait was over 2 hours long, they were calling in people out of order from when they came (no organization to their front desk). Had what I suspected was the flu while we were on vacation and this was the only urgent care place I could find that stayed open until 8PM. It was 8 miles from where were staying at Disney World but only a 15-minute drive. We arrived at 7:30. They saw me within 10 minutes of arriving, gave me an influenza test, took my vitals and prescribed me some Tamiflu within 15 minutes. I was out of there before 8PM. It was located next door to Wal-Mart so I could get my prescription quickly. My experience was excellent. The staff was courteous and efficient. Highly recommended read more

This place has really gone down hill in the past few months. They recently started a new system, and came into new management? Either way this place is slow, slow, SLOW now!! I've been here three times since the change happened and each time I've had to wait at least an hour. It takes them forever to get people in and out. You're better off going to Walgreens or CVS clinics. At least there you can make appointments. read more

Great Experience - I broke out in a horrible rash while on vacation. I checked yelp reviews and ended up at Paramount Urgent care. It wasn't the closest but I'm glad I choose Paramount. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with medications in hand. They stock common prescriptions which saved me at least an hour at a pharmacy. The doctor and staff were very prompt, courteous and helpful. Waiting room was clean and everything was well maintained. Highly recommend!!! read more
