This place had all of the thrills and chills! When I tell you, we had an excellent, scary time... I listened to screams and saw ppl running and jumping in terror the entire time. It's filled with creepy, realistic looking of characters which makes it even more interesting. Around every corner is a jump scare and boy did we all yell lol. I love going to scary houses for Halloween and it took the cake. It was worth the drive anddddd the money spent. They had candy bowls for us every where a gift shop, a snack shop and so many setups to take horror pictures. It was a very cold night and dark which added to the vibes of this place. The eeriness makes it chilling and exciting. I will definitely go once again and make sure that I take more than a few people with me. Parking was packed out but try also had an overflow lot at the U-Haul place right next door. They have time slots for tickets to select when you want to go. Tickets weren't expensive and the wait wasn't long. Even while in line they have characters scaring the mess out of you and giving you a sample of what's to come inside. Enjoy! read more

A word for the wise. Spend the extra money on fast pass or wait over two hours in a line that rivals Disney. Otherwise go as late as possible to avoid crowds. I thought the people who ran this Haunted House were very nice and polite. The actors were interactive and they did a great job on the special effects. Pretty scary for kids, adults not so much. Sleepier ramp on the inside of the first attraction. Be careful going down the ramp, but the haunted house was good. Reminds me of when netherworld was on Jimmy Carter blvd. It has that old school feeling to it, but good. The second attraction was shorter and felt a little rushed. They had a thrift shop area where you walk through clothes. What a fun, creepy night out! Recently, a group of my friends and I took a little field trip up to Canton to check out Paranoia. This was my first time at Paranoia, and actually my first time at a "real" haunted house now that I think about it. I'm so glad I went! My friends and I opted in for the Fast Pass tickets which were about $25 more than the regular tickets, and I'm so glad that we did. I do notttt love waiting in lines and always opt for a fast pass if it's available, and it really came in handy here. When we arrived, it was way more visually intense (in a good way) than I ever expected. It being a Saturday night at 10pm, there were at least 200 other people in attendance along with my group and wow, those passes saved us so much time. Gaining entry was a breeze as we had our ticket QR codes scanned, were given our fast pass lanyards and went onto the line. We really didn't wait for either of the haunted house and breezed right through the dozens of folks in the queue. So worth the extra money! I really loved the carnival-like vibe out there as well. There were games, a concession stand with reasonably priced snacks such as popcorn, nachos and candy, and multiple photo opps. I also loved that the characters were out and about taking photos with guests, as well as pestering a few lol. Now, onto the haunted houses. I enjoyed both! I'm a weirdo though, I don't get as frightened as people may expect me to, lol. I love horror movies and Halloween, so I found myself laughing and in awe the entire journey through the houses, lol. Was I creeped out and surprised sometimes? Absolutely. But I won't blame the Paranoia team because I could see why folks would be frightened and screaming their heads off, (like my bestie was). The characters, the creepy prosthetics, the fog, the darkness - epic. They reallyyyy did a fantastic job of setting these productions up!! The bodies in the hallways and one visual (that I won't disclose and spoil for others) had me creeped out a bit, I can't lie lol. I will say - my 4-eyed friends and those with visual concerns, the first house we went into threw me for a loop when we were paused in majorrrr fog, not knowing where the heck we were going. Now, THAT, made me tense up a bit lol. If I was in there alone or if I wasn't a naturally calm person, idk what I would have done because I couldn't see a THING. My scary bestie was leading us and we just decided to move like we were in an escape room, putting our hands out to lead us out lol. It was concerning for a moment, but what a way to trap folks up for a bit after they've screamed their head off! There was also tons of parking that didn't require payment unlike most spots. Difficult to write this... a group of us went to support the local attraction, and we have way too many complaints, and concerns that outweigh the attraction as a whole. Disorganized, rude and negligent staff working. No handicap parking whatsoever. The parking lot was full, parking attendant screamed at us to keep moving. Asked if there was any parking for disabled (with a government issued pass) and yelled, FULL, park somewhere else. Idk if the staff here doesn't care about the disabled or not, but there are handicap individuals who are able to walk, and participate in such attractions, but are unable to be on their feet for long periods of time, and other various reasons for the need of accommodated parking. Unclear of where VIP should stand. Staff was pulling groups more than 10 out of line to scoot up to the next overcrowded line, then pulling them back out and having them get back in the previous line, but at the back of it. Spazzed out woman giving wrist bands to some and not others while trying to weed out the $50+ ticket holders versus the regular priced ticket holders. Haunted staff members were in your face. Regardless of your stance on vax, covid, etc. When your guests are wearing masks, maybe take the hint to not scream in their faces? Netherworld is just as scary while mindful of the pandemic. One staff member was so high they couldn't keep their eyes opened. Not sure what flavor is their choice, but that was fun getting assistance from them. Children under teen aged working there. I don't even want to put out in the universe the terrible things that could happen in such an environment that's beyond crowded with all sorts of individuals coming and going. The attraction itself, was better than I was anticipating,... inside had a handful of unsafe settings. There's a dragon animatronic that pushes so far out, that it pushes the guests, directly in front of the dragon is a swinging door. My mom lost her balance, and actually fell while the people behind her tripped over her. Several other props throughout that were hazardous for such a dark and Smokey setting. Towards the end of one of the attractions, a room became too overcrowded with a trick/hidden exit, and the group of kids that were behind and now with our party in this confusing (but fun) room grew to become panicked. There were at least 50 individuals in an over-Smoked room, with blinking lights. Another hazardous setting if the worst case scenario were to happen. I greatly appreciate and respect our local businesses. I too am a small business and entrepreneur but care, thoughtfulness and mindfulness should be a the forefront. For the $50+ a ticket there was far too much just on the professional (lack of knowledge, disorganization) side of things I was extremely disappointed in, not even to mention the major safety concerns I have for other attendees as well as the underaged staff members. read more

Ok haunted house. No social distancing. Horrible line and no place to park. Waited for over an hour to get into the main attraction. We also purchased the extra on the website and when we noticed the line got that part we just left. Wasted 10$ but oh well. Definitely the scariest haunted house around. New themes almost every year. You got tight spaces, flashing lights, places to crawl, actors screaming, big animatronics, you name it they have it. Also has gift shops, mini games, music. This place is definitely recommended, maybe not recommended for younger groups but over super scary especially the first time. read more

Unfortunately, coming here I was hit with the cold hard facts; firstly the the overwhelming use of subpar animatronics throughout the both houses was astonishing. Second, the actors here seemed like they had no motivation or drive to due their jobs. Both attractions are incredibly short and we were out of both in under 25 minutes. Pretty good haunted house. Be prepared to wait in long lines, but it's worth it. I appreciate how they time the groups going through, so you can actually experience the haunted house instead of everyone walking through at once. Be prepared for walking up/down steep ramps and ducking several times throughout the houses. read more

I visited 20 houses last year, and was concerned COVID would kill the season after HHN in Orlando was cancelled. Fear not, fans! Good houses are running, and you can count Paranoia amount them. Pulling some good elements from other great houses, like Netherworld and Containment. This is in the top 3 in GA. read more

September 29th, 2017 Atlanta area Haunted House Excursion My husband & I normally go to Netherworld every October, but we decided to hit as many haunted houses in the Atlanta area as we could in a night. So Friday, September 29th at 2 pm we left Birmingham headed to the Atlanta area. In this order, we went to Netherworld, Paranoia, Folklore, Nightmare's Gate, and Haunted Chicken House. I am going to give a brief review of each of the haunts that we visited so that anyone else that may be interested in checking them out will have an idea if they are worth visiting. I am also including the haunted houses we visited in central Alabama to give a list of how each haunt ranked in comparison to all the others we visited this season. Here is our favorite haunted houses in order: 1) Netherworld 2) Nightmare's Gate 3) Atrox 4) Paranoia 5) Hellbilly Hollow 6) Nightmare 3008 7) Warehouse 31 8) Hollis Haunted Chicken House 9) Insanitarium 10) Sloss Furnace 11) Mountain Creek Trail of Fear 12) Folklore (only BAD haunt we went to) 4) Paranoia- "Biggest Surprise" (8 of out 10) Total time on site- 40 minutes This is the first time we had been to Paranoia, but my husband had talked with them on Facebook messenger prior to coming so we had an idea of what we were in for. While it was not as elaborate as Netherworld it was a great haunted house. There were monsters walking around outside and while they were not too scary, they were engaging and they all stayed in character. We would definitely come back again! The first haunt we went into was Experiment X. It was a water/electricity-themed haunt and had some really good props/effects. The negative to this one was that the background noise (I think it was like ww2 war sirens and then warning messages as well), but the sirens were so loud that we couldn't understand what the warning messages were saying. At one point we were going up an incline and a loud noise sounded right above us and it caused me to hit the floor, so that was amusing for my husband. I screamed a lot through the haunt, but not as much as I did in Netherworld. It took about 10 minutes for us to walk through this one. The second haunt we went into was the Slaughter Shack, and I assume this is their main haunt because it was the better of the two. We walked a few minutes before we reached the entrance of the actual slaughter shack. We were met by a girl who explained the storyline and then an 80+ year old woman showed us inside. After entering the house we felt like we had just walked into a scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which was really cool. Then in the 2nd or third room, there was a kid trying to escape that ran up to us asking for help and then a huge guy ran up behind him, grabbed him around the neck and drug him on his back out of the room, down the hall, and around the corner...which was pretty awesome. I tried to run out of my husband's grips several times throughout the haunt. There was a crazy midget too which really creeped me out. We reached the end and started walking down a ramp, but were stopped by a few nurses who were panicking as a huge guy came walking out of the darkness. We were trapped between the nurses blocking the exit ramp and the big guy coming to slaughter us. Then the grand finale, but I won't ruin it by saying what it was (in case they use the same thing next year). I will, however, say that it is the first time we have experienced it at a haunted house and we enjoyed it so much we debated paying to go through the slaughter shack a second time just to experience the ending for a second time. read more

Yet we waited over 1 hour for the first then after 2 more hours in the line for the second one, we left bc we had not even made it half way through the line. 10 out of 10 do NOT go it you are not planning on buying the VIP no line pass. Waste of money. I literally say 4 chitstmans trees.. for that price the wait made it not even worth it.. bottom line save your money or go somewhere else. read more

I bought the combo ticket to go to both attractions and upon entrance one of the workers instructed that I go to Hexed first. The line was at least at 30 minute wait and I got there right when it opened on a Saturday night. Hexed was super scary and the actors were phenomenal! Exiting the haunted house there is a midway with fun free games to play although one of the staff members that was on the balloon dark game was really rude and not in the typical humorous haunted house way. The line for the second haunted house was at least an hour and a half long so if you don't want to wait I certainly suggest getting a VIP pass but wait....... before you do you should know that the additional haunt (Hexed) was far more scary than the main haunt. While the main haunt was cool there was nothing scary about it! It's was executed really well but missing the scary which is the whole point of a haunted house! I was extremely disappointed that the staff instructed us to go to Hexed first because I would've rather saved the best for last. read more

We went to Paranoia on Friday night and Netherworld on Saturday. Paranoia was disorganized and had trouble scanning everyone's tickets. We had to wait a long time, but the haunted house was awesome! Very scary. Netherworld was very organized, we paid $10 more for the "timed" ticket (well worth it), but the haunted house was not that scary.... it was more like a "Disney" haunted house. read more

the scariest part of the attraction was the logic behind their VIP system and how someone thought that was an okay thing to do. My family and i waited in line in front of a strobe light for 45 minutes while the VIP folks were heading to their second house. Very Important Person? More like Only Important Person at Paranoia. I suppose having two groups of VIPs paying extra is more important than the 70+ people waiting in line along with us. Get your priorities figured out. Typically in a business if you sell something you don't want your consumers to be unhappy. I was able to type this in line for the first haunted house while i just watched a VIP group go through for the second time. The VIP and GA entries into the houses were not alternated like we were told. As long as their are VIPS in the section, they could give a fuck about anyone else. Save your money.
