We had to return two large packages and went to Parcel Place in Doylestown. The door was held open for us by one of the workers and he immediately began to assist us in our return. We had a bar code on our phone, but being "seniors" we didn't know how to send it. I handed him my phone and he knew exactly what to do to send the code to their computer where he could access it. We were so grateful for his help! We did not have to pay for this service. We were out the door in less than five minutes with a printed receipt. Had to ship a large fragile item from PA to MA and used Parcel Place. There was good communications and they did precisely what I asked as far as putting three important labels on the box - and this was done on all sides. Item was properly wrapped and protected. I know an item like this is properly packaged when it takes me about 30 minutes or so to carefully remove and unwrap. No masks to be found. None on employees or customers. This place also does fingerprinting no mask, no gloves and they directly touching you. This place didn't seem to care about basic covid precautions. In response to the owner, I did ask and was told your policy is if you are vaccinated you are fine. Always unhappy with service there. One time I brought a package in marked fragile. The gal behnd the counter picked it up and TOSSED it in back of her quite far. That should have warned me. I went back to rent a mailbox from them and another gal was about as unhelpful, rude and nasty as could be. Extremely unprofessional. Other places in D'town and central Bucks that do the same thing. Husband drops his brother off at Phila Airport for flight to Florida last Fri. Oops, bro leaves his phone in the car! We quickly pack phone, take it to Parcel Place, pay $90 for next day air (Sat delivery via UPS)to Florida. Nor'easter storm delays Sat delivery (understandable) and then phone arrives in State of Florida on Sunday. Sadly, UPS debacles followed & bro doesn't get his phone til Wednesday! No help from UPS or Parcel Place despite hours of tracking, phone calls and desperate pleas for help/answers. Probably should have trusted US postal service. Looks like Parcel Place recommended mailing package next day air. Package not delivered next day....actually not delivered for days. UPS has a guaranteed Service Refund policy as explained by UPS customer service that must be submitted by Parcel Place on behalf of customer. Customer has been to store several times with no help on resolving issue. Hopefully Parcel place will stand up to it's customer satisfaction claims on their website and submit claim and refund customer soon. Is it really worth the possible bad publicity? We use these folks a lot. They do a fine job with pack-and-ship. Better service and prices than the UPS store in town. Also, they can do USPS fixed rate priority mail boxes without any mark-up over the rate at the post-office, but they're open more hours. read more
