Big difference in the banquet hall compared to the last time I went, which was back in 2014/2015, during that time it had the swirly design carpet and a dated look. Now it's modern, clean and renovated. I like the choice of the hardwood flooring being a lighter color and it contrasts nicely to the walls and the light fixtures. It feels bright and open. Now the food- we got the chicken with the potato gratin and the veggie medley. It was average at best. The veggies were kinda hard. The potatoes were decent and the chicken was OK. Perhaps there are better menu options here for events. We didn't get the full open bar, but there was beer and wine for purchase only, so there's different options when it comes to alcohol. Of course the red room is just down the hall so that's always an option too and the red room has a banquet room attached to it if you wanted to combine the two spaces. The service is really good, all the workers were helpful, attentive, and accommodating. Bathrooms are beautifully renovated, and clean. Overall, it's a nice event space I just think the food is hit or miss. read more

I have been coming to this place for years and absolutely love their facility. But I just realized, I've never written a review for them. So here it goes . Everything is well maintained, everything always seems clean, and the staff are genuinely nice. Even the outside area around the catering facility is well maintained. So again the facility itself is wonderful, it's just the food that desperately needs help. They say consistency is a good thing, but not when something is consistently mediocre. And unfortunately that is the food at this place. . Every year they consistently overcook the summer vegetables, the Chicken Piccata was overcooked and hidden by an overpowering sauce. Their coffee was honestly my last straw. How can a company be so careless with their food preparation that they can't even put in the right amount of coffee grounds to make a cup of coffee? To me, that's just ridiculous. All in all, I would totally recommend the facility. But if possible, make sure that you get your catering elsewhere. read more

I had no idea that the Annex Kitchen was connected to the Pardini's catering and event venue. Am I the only one? I was at Pardini's for my father-in-law's church event. I've never been here before so I was interested in seeing what the space actually looked like, and it's your typical basic event venue. From what I saw, they have two spaces for events or they can collapse the wall to make it one large event area. There is a separate bar on the premises, but I'm not sure if it's part of Pardini's or its own thing. It looked really cool inside and had a lounge vibe to it. This event space has its own kitchen, so I assume when you're at the space the food comes with it. I had a short rib with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. For mass produced event hall food, it was actually pretty good. The short rib was super tender and the steamed veggies actually had flavor! The only real issue I see is the parking. The lot is very small and you're sharing spaces with the Annex Kitchen, Rock n Noodles, Diccios Italian food, and about eight other businesses. It was a fun night. Company party! The room was spacious enough for us. We are going smaller and smaller so it was nice that they book and had it there. It was raining and cold outside. So we were Warm and cozy inside. The food was excellent, the chicken was so tender, juicy and flavorful. The potato's were on the salty side but manageable. The salad was very Fresh and crispy. The veggies were also great!! The waiters were very attentive and they clean the tables as soon as everyone was done. They had a bar inside and they were Making great mixes, they had all kinds of drinks. From beer to wine. I would book a venue here for a party, I really loved the please. Our guests are still talking about the food at our wedding thanks to Pardinis. We had a buffet with a carving station and passed hours d'oeuvres. There wasn't a single complaint about the food and we've even had a few guests ask where they can go to eat the chicken again! The communication leading up to the wedding was a little spotty. We had a wedding planner so she was doing a lot of the outreach and follow up but it did take several emails and calls to get answers on several details. Because we didn't get a response on our site plan until a month before the wedding we did have to add a few unexpected costs for more tables and a green wall to hide the prep area. Luckily our vendors were flexible and making the changes was easy. It would have been much better for us to know we needed to add those costs ahead of time. Similarly, after our final headcount was provided, we had to wait for a final cost. If I didn't have a planner all of the back and forth and follow-up to get answers would have been too much work for me alone. In the end, the food and service were amazing on the day of! We couldn't be happier with the quality of the food and service. We went with Pardinis because we had a large wedding (280 guests) and we knew they were the most logistically prepared for day of flow. Things went very smoothly and everyone was fed quickly. The carvers were very professional and added an extra touch to the dinner. Pardinis is a tried and true company that does so many events in the area. Good Medicare Broker's Meeting today at this venue. And while the fruit and coffee was good, I am surprised at how poorly the breakfast burritos were made. Composed of meat, eggs, potatoes, salsa and cheese, the potatoes were not cooked and some were actually hard. Come on! How hard is it to properly cook diced potatoes to go into a burrito?? I've been to many events/meetings here and usually the food is much better. Looks like some poor oversight. Even the basic offerings are your calling card and not being able to nail a 5 ingredient burrito is telling. From the most humble offering to the more fancy, it all speaks to your ability to pull off a function to quality standards and above! Please take note and address this. And why would you even bother putting bowls of salsa out on the table with NO small plastic cups to put some in? Lame! The burritos were wrapped in foil and the options were to either just pour some on a flat plate or leave it. LAME and something a 10 year old would have noticed. However the staff of 4 adult professional 'catering people' serving the event, not even one person caught it or even foresaw that being an issue. No initiative whatsoever. Really, not impressive.. Also, from dirty light fixtures, tilted (not level) light wall fixtures, to peeling wall paper and broken (cracked) paper towel dispensers in the men's room, it's time to tighten up some of this REALLY low hanging fruit. I just attended a large group event here, the first since the remodel. Wow! Beautiful! Salad and bread was on the table when we sat down. We were served steak with green beans and scalloped potatoes. What a great place to hold an event! The recently renovated Pardini's looks very sleek and modern. I helped at a recent event there and everything was so nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating, we had several requests for table placement, bring an extra table in, more chairs and more place settings during the event and the staff did everything with a smile on their face. I'd like to especially thank Catrina our event coordinator. She went above and beyond helping me with every request. From the music (she found Auggie) the timing of the food service, reminding me if we wanted to include a pray before the meal, set up, she even found deodorant for me! Catrina never stopped working and was always checking to see if everything was going smoothly. Thank you Catrina, your diligence didn't go unnoticed. Two days ago we hosted a reception at Pardini's following my aunt's funeral service. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. We ordered the Mediterranean appetizer buffet. The food quality was high and among the Armenian gathered not one had criticism about the food. If you know Armenians, you know they take food quality very seriously. The service was outstanding. The food was ready when people arrived, they not only allowed us to bring our own dessert, but sliced and plated it for us. I forgot to order coffee service, but they gently mentioned to me that people would probably want coffee and they were right. They anticipated all of our needs. I was dining solo so I sat at their breakfast counter in Valerie's section. She was attentive, speedy and friendly. She even greeted her "regulars" by name and waved goodbye as people departed. The other ladies behind the counter worked diligently but still chatted with me. I came for breakfast incident to a Groupon but I'll gladly return in the future. All of the staff here seems cooperative in helping with one another's tables and the atmosphere here is one of comfort and familiarity. Lots of families and small groups, even for early breakfast. I ordered their corned beef hash breakfast, with 2 eggs over easy and hash browns. They gladly substituted a GIGANTIC pancake for the toast (for only 99 cents). Pardini's Cafe**** I've visited 2-3 breakfast joints in Fresno and this place wins. The bacon is thick crispy and perfectly cooked. The scrambled eggs are just right and the coffee is aromatic and quickly refilled. This place probably hasn't changed in at least 20 years but that's just part of it's rustic charm, it screams Americana- The manager Wendy is lively and always has a recipe or two to share. Oh, and don't be suprised if after a visit or two she knows you by name. If you happen to be around on a Sunday, try the eggs Benedict and if you are like me ask for Bacon instead of ham. read more

I attended a wedding reception here over the weekend and while the facility seemed decent enough, I have to rate only two stars because there was nowhere to change a baby's diaper! I was kind of in shock--even fast food restaurants have fold down changing tables in at least the women's restroom. I understand that a typical restaurant might not have a changing table in the restroom because guests are not expected to stay at the facility for extended periods of time. However at a banquet hall that is used for longer gatherings, having a changing table is perfectly sensible and expected. After finding that there were no restroom changing tables, I asked a staff person where I could change my baby's diaper and he informed me that there wasn't anywhere to do it "because all of the banquet rooms were being used." This led me to believe that on another given night I would perhaps have been directed to just go change the baby on the floor of an empty banquet room, which could be perceived as unsanitary. That being said, I don't know for sure if this is what the staff person meant. Since the facility was so full, so was the parking lot and we had had to park way down the street and so I was not eager to scamper off to the car in the rain to change the baby. It's my understanding that it's not difficult to acquire a fold down changing table--if unsure of where to start, perhaps contact basically ANY other facility with restrooms, be it a restaurant, big box store, whatever. And if you REALLY want to get with the times, put one in both the women's restroom AND the men's! read more

We had a surprise 40th birthday party in Salon A. The entire party was planned in less than two months so we were happy that Roseanna helped us get everything planned in so little time. On the day of the event we had plenty of time to get everything set up and the team was so helpful. Shout outs to Teresa and Bill who were so helpful and attended to everything with professionalism and efficiency. The bartender was not so friendly but most of the folks didn't mind I think he has just worked there forever and is disinterested in his job. Pardini's Diner and Catering and catering is as good as it gets in Fresno. When I need a party catered, I only call one place, and this is it. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't any reason to try anywhere else. For that matter, the diner is the only place in town that knows how to cook a slab of bacon just right. Their bread and butter seems to be the catering, though, so we'll stick with that for the purpose of the review. I've had everything from these guys, and it's all good. In reality, there are alot of caterers in town who can make a good meal. What sets Pardini's apart, though, is that they can make a good meal for 1,000 just as easily as they can make a good filet for 10, and they do for reasonable prices and with better service than everyone else. If anything, I always get the feeling that they're undercharging for their services. They're that good. I'll end with an anecdote. I had my company's party catered at Pardini's last year. I told him we wanted 150 filets cooked medium rare. I also told them that my boss hates blood in his steak, and he needed something well done. Without being reminded, they brought him a filet without a speck of red, and the rest of us had perfectly medium rare steaks. That's what I call outstanding service. read more

This review is for Pardini's COFFEE SHOP. They do catering out of the same building, but they have a great little coffee shop that I didn't know about until the other day. In thelast three weeks, I've eaten breakfast here once and lunch twice. Shannon G's review about the breakfast is spot on. I totally agree. The bacon is waaay better than those other diners like Denny's or the local Fresno chain, BJ's Kountry Kitchen. The service is nice and friendly. The place is clean. My lunches, which consisted of sandwiches, were just right. This is the best diner in Fresno. Good solid food and good solid service. It's my new hangout! read more

I use Pardini's for pretty much every event I have. The cherry on top of our long relationship was my wedding. The food was perfection. We served the filet and I have gotten compliments from countless people. It was absolutely incredible. The whole process was really fun and they really cared what we wanted to present to our guests and they executed the vision flawlessly. Pardini's catered our New Year's Eve Wedding and we were very happy with the food and service that we received on our wedding day. However, leading up to it is another story. Jayne is not the easiest person to work with by any means. It was actually a nightmare to plan a wedding and have the vendor of your biggest expenses and in charge of some of the most important items at the reception and to not be able to get a hold of her after the deposit has been placed. It didn't matter if I called or emailed, I would rarely ever hear back. We had to plan our taste testing a month out because they were busy and when we arrived, it took her 20 minutes to come out of her office and then she frantically threw us in a banquet room set up for a memorial and said we had an hour and had to leave because guests would be arriving. She forgot what we wanted to try, she ran to the back and we could hear her and the chefs arguing bc she was requesting it too last minute. Our chicken at the taste testing was drenched in sauce bc they made only one batch and last second. It was hard to even make a decision. While we were waiting to tell her our choices, she disappeared for 20 minutes when we were already done eating. We called her, shocker - no answer, she finally came back and took down our choices. Months have passed, I have emailed her for small details and what not, no reply. Now it's almost a month before our wedding and I am calling daily to get a hold of her. She is never in or available, and apparently has a long list to call back because it took her 2 weeks to call me back and she has the guts to ask me if I'm still getting married in 2 weeks and if they were still catering because my file was EMPTY. She didn't even have down our choices from the taste testing. You can only imagine, I'm livid. She called at 4:58pm and I had all my final numbers with me for chicken, beef, veggie.. but she told me to call her the next morning because it was now 5pm and she had to go for the day. I was pissed. I spent 3 days trying to get a hold of her and nothing back. I was always "first on her call back list". I finally went down there on my lunch break and she was acting like I was crazy for even being the slightest bit worked up. I finally got all of my information to her and finalized everything that I could with her. Anything else that we had to do my dad was able to get a hold of Megan, who apparently does the same thing as Jayne, but I never had the option to talk to her when I would call. It's just a big shame that Pardini's is such a great catering company and has such great food and service and you literally have to jump through hoops to even get anything done prior to the event. I completely felt like I was doing her job for her, she should have been the one calling me and constantly keeping up with new information. She should know in her industry to not stress/piss off the bride. Thank you to the chefs and the bar tenders and waiters for making our wedding day run smoothly with the catering and service. If it wasn't for you, it would have been a disaster of an experience with Pardini's. read more

I have used them 2 times for parties and was satisfied. I WAS GOING to use them for our 25th Wedding Anniversary but I will never step foot in their facility again! Customer Service is Key to a successful establishment and needs to be practiced daily that is how you obtain returning customers. After speaking to a superior about the bad service I was receiving to coordinate my event I VERY QUICKLY realized management DID NOT practice it themselves so why would their employees. It is a shame because I really love their food but will NOT use them again because customer service is KEY and I have many other choices to choose from that does exactly what they do. As far as banquet facilities go, I would rate this one of the best in the Central Valley. Service? Decent to good. So why then only 3 stars? Strange food... Went to an event for my wife's work last night, and I opted for the chicken dish. Chicken Picatta. Typically, chicken picatta is an easy banquet dish choice because it holds beautifully and it has a very simple ingredient list. Chicken breast, white wine, butter, capers, garlic... that's it. Usually served with some sort of noodles or risotto (to help sop up all the leftover juice left on the plate). A very easy and traditional dish. Here's what their version of chicken picatta was... Breaded chicken cutlet topped with cream bechemel and capers. It was - edible, I guess... just bizarre.. It was like eating a chicken cordon blue with pickled capers thrown in. Not exactly great tasting. I would liken it to adding barbecue sauce to lasagna. Not sure who thought up their version of the dish, but it definitely was not classic chicken picatta. Next time, I'll opt for the braised beef. read more

On this trip to Fresno I noticed Pardini's restaurant across the street from my hotel, the Piccadilly on W Shaw. Yelp reviews convinced me that their breakfast HAD to be better than the hotel's complimentary "full" breakfast, and within walking distance. This is a great classic coffee shop for breakfast, with friendly, efficient service, good quality food, and reasonable prices. The booths and tables are super clean and spacious. My eggs were cooked exactly as ordered, the coffee was good (not that weak stuff), and the bacon was that nice, thick center cut, also cooked just right. I saw what other customers received for their orders, and the quantities of food were substantial without being ridiculous. This is clearly a popular spot for locals. It's now MY spot for breakfast on every business trip to Fresno, even if it ends up being driving distance from a different hotel. Thanks, Pardini's! read more
