The location is close by and the staff is always really nice and professional. From the lab team down to the intake on to the medical assistants... I've always felt so welcomed here. When making this appointment over three weeks ago I was told that they had a cancellation and if I didn't take this appointment I would have to wait until October. I arrived for my appointment at 10:15 a.m. which is fairly standard for most medical practices, and I was told that the CRNP (Dr. Allyson Gilstrap was on leave so I wasn't even going to see a doctor ) could not see me since I was not there at 10:00 a.m. To be fair, it was suggested, not mandated, to be there a half an hour early to fill out paperwork which would have taken maybe 10 minutes. But I was not made aware that if I was not there by 10:00 a.m. on the dot I would not be seen. I should have been told that. They asked me if I could come back at 3:00 p. m. That would not work for me and I said no and walked out. What is the purpose of making an appointment and arriving early just to be turned away for not being there a half an hour early!! Who does that?? I've never heard of such a thing!! And I should have been able to fill the paperwork out online like most medical practices offer now, and not this out-of-date system. I hope that the person/persons running this place rethink their policies because this clearly is not the way to treat new, potential and existing patients. Turning away a new patient for not being a half an hour early for their appointment is very suspect to say the least. I have since spoken to several people that I know in the medical profession and told them of my experience with this practice and they outright told me this is absolutely wrong.

I typically really dread going to the doctor, but this place actually made it a pleasant…read moreexperience. I had an appointment with Colleen Donohue. They were only 10 minutes late with my appointment (which I think is great for a doctors office) and the doctor herself was GREAT. She was so friendly and helpful, as were all of the nurses. Though I was a new patient, she made me feel really comfortable and I felt like I had known her for a while. If you're looking for a good family doctor I would check this place out.

I can't say enough about Dr. (Colleen) Donohue and her staff. Maybe it was because I had filled out…read moretheir paperwork beforehand (almost 16 pages, but worth it) and waited less than 5 minutes in their waiting room. I was called back by a very cheery (maybe her name was Shaniqua, although I could be wrong, and I'm sorry if I am!) called me back to the exam room. I wasn't in that room for less than 5 minutes (very unheard of in a doctors office!) before I heard a knock on the door. A young, bright, cheerful, happy woman walked into the room and introduced herself as Colleen Donohue, NOT Dr. Donohue. I immediately felt at ease. As for my exam, it's not often where one feels they're actually being listened to when speaking to a doctor. However, Colleen made me feel as if I knew her and she knew me for years and completely understood me and my needs! She was/is now my favorite doctor! Honestly, I wish I had something else to go back to her for...she's THAT GOOD!!

In addition, Be cautious of this clinic's business practices. I discovered today ( over a week after my initial visit ) that They require upfront payment for visits, regardless of insurance coverage. I paid $150 plus a non-refundable $5.99 processing fee. I was assured that with a referral, I'd get a refund, minus the processing fee. I was told that day if I could get an approval from my doctor that I did not have to pay the $150 but since it was a Sunday and he was not the one that was on call, I had to wait until the following day to get the approval Sent through properly. So I'm not sure how we went from. "We only need a referral to avoid the $150 fee and the 5.99 processing charge" to now we need to be paid by the insurance company before we can refund you. That is two totally different scenarios. I also have never had to pay a processing charge at a doctor's office ever before. I confirmed with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) that my referral was approved for emergency visits for one year, and the visit was indeed covered. Despite having full coverage through BCBS and a referral from my primary care doctor for an emergency visit during a recent snowstorm, the clinic's refund process was inconsistent. Initially, I was told I'd receive a refund check the next day, but when I followed up, they claimed it would take at least two weeks because they needed to await the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from BCBS. BCBS confirmed that the clinic should have access to real-time data showing my coverage and the referral, debunking the clinic's claim. The clinic's information and requirements changed each time I called, suggesting a possible scheme to retain both insurance and patient payments. I wouldn't have left a negative review if the information hadn't been so misleading and inconsistent. This experience makes me long for a time when patient care came first, especially for those with comprehensive insurance. If there were any doubts about insurance coverage, they should have been upfront about it, rather than changing their story after collecting the payment.

I was a patient there for over 10 years. I'm sharing a message I composed for the office manager…read moreKristin regarding my care with this practice. The basics: I was told a PA was submitted on my behalf in Dec 2025. From experience, I know it takes them longer than most to do anything. They never got back to me so I reached out to them only to find out their PA person didn't do what he told me he was going to do, but they wouldn't just tell me he didn't do it, they skirted around the very direct question of did he submit it or did he not submit it. Since I'm here posting this, you already know he didn't. I would *truly* go elsewhere if you have any major health issues. There's just too much incompetence to risk it. I suffered heart failure for MONTHS before they caught it. Run. Kristin: It was a mistake asking Steve to call me. I recorded the phone call. Steve tells several versions of what happened on the call he made to me back in December because that's what happens when you are lying. When someone makes an irrefutable point, the lie has no choice but to evolve. Tell Steve if he's going to try and gaslight someone, he better make sure there isn't a recording. If you are a medical provider and you tell a patient you are doing something and you don't, then you shouldn't be a medical provider any longer. I'm going to research everything I can on the laws and ethics of what he's done and I'm going to file a complaint. You shouldn't be responsible for people's lives if you don't have the character or capability to hold such a responsibility. Follow-through is not optional in medical care. If you tell a patient you are doing something and you don't do it, there have to be reprecusions or you will continue to do it. I got the impression from some of the staff that Steve lacked the character and capability to do his job. I see why now. He's a liability. Had you just admitted that he NEVER submitted the RDI score like he told me he was going to do back in December, then I could have used the information and moved on. You decided to dance around my very pointed question and made it a whole lot worse. Lastly, if there are "documents" associated with the PA submission, then they are part of the file. Concealing or withholding them means it's an incomplete file that you are trying to pass off as complete. If I ask for that information and you don't provide it, you are withholding my file from me. No one's asking for or expecting a piece of paper with scribbled notes and doodles, supporting documentation is an entirely different animal and it's disengenuous to imply otherwise.

Dr. Eli and Farinna Willis took great care of me and my baby during my birthing and labor…read moreexperience and that's all I will say regarding my labor and delivery experience of 2021 because I don't want to down talk the experience I had with the nurses! Dr. Willis even allowed me to switch to her services while I was 25 weeks pregnant which turned out to be the best decision that I could've ever made for myself and my baby. They are the only two ppl I trust to birth my children in this entire state as a California native.

Our daughter gave birth to our grandson on January 3, 2025, under the care of Dr. Christina Maddox…read more To preface, I have been a patient at Brookwood Medical Center for over 30 years. I gave birth to my daughter in 1993 with Dr. Robinett and have since entrusted my care to Brookwood. Currently, I see Dr. Maddox and recommended her to my daughter as well. We both appreciate Dr. Maddox's attentiveness and thorough approach. However, I am posting this review with concerns regarding the care my daughter has received post-delivery and the treatment we experienced during her hospitalization. Following her C-section, a 7-day bandage was placed on her incision, preventing us from monitoring her healing. When the bandage was removed, we noticed redness, and shortly thereafter, our daughter began feeling unwell. Upon contacting the after-hours line, she was advised to go to the emergency room, where she was admitted due to a serious infection. This entire situation has been emotionally taxing , especially being separated from her newborn while undergoing treatment. We were initially informed by OB ED nurses that the baby could stay with her as long as I remained present to care for him since he was no longer a patient. While we appreciated this flexibility, the support we received from staff was inconsistent and, at times, dismissive. For example, when we moved to a room (on the 6th floor) from the ED, we had to plead with the nurse on duty, Tamika Reeves, for basic supplies like diapers and wipes. My husband had packed a small bag for the baby, but it was insufficient, and since it was late, we had to wait until the next day to order additional items. On January 13 at 8:49 PM, when we asked for a bottle of formula because our daughter wasn't producing enough milk and needed rest, the assigned nurse, Anna Brett Williamson, informed us it was against policy to provide formula since the baby wasn't a patient. When I requested to speak with the charge nurse, I was disheartened to learn it was Ms. Reeves again, who previously was unhelpful. After decades of being a loyal patient, I am deeply disappointed with the lack of compassion and support we experienced. Denying a single bottle of formula to a newborn, especially under these circumstances, is inexcusable. Furthermore, I am left to question whether our daughter's infection could have been prevented had a different approach been taken with her incision care. The level of care we received during this critical time is indicative of the decline in the quality of service. This experience has led me to reconsider continuing my care with your hospital and to understand why others have expressed similar concerns in online reviews. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no family should have to deal with this kind of situation.
