I called the store, they directed me to stay in my car and open my back window. With a smile, the associate tossed the bag on the backseat, came around to the driver window. As I awkwardly tried to open my window she patiently told me to keep my window closed. She checked my ID through the window, smiled and waved goodbye and thank you. In a time where everything is so unknown, they handled this process with grace and kindness. Please keep up the good work and the smiles -- even under the masks. So easy and friendly. The shop was having a two-for-one sale so there were duplicates of most every product purchased (hair coloring). There were six (6) containers of coloring, two being a lighter shade of the other (remember 2 for 1) and two blonde. She explained to me she wanted her hair slightly lighter than the color before. She asked me, "Remember..." Of course I said "Oh yeah". Then why the lighter shade, I asked. Well, colors need to be experimented with until you find the right shade. The last coloring had too much blonde in it. Then I inquired as to why the other containers were stamped "blonde". She said in case the darker color was too dark, she would mix some blonde in to give her hair highlights. By then I was totally confused, but then she pulled out a package with bright pink rollers that had some kind of special foam (looked like Velcro) to hold her short hair better for curling. And women wonder why us men never know what they want.
