The friendliness of the staff fluctuates on a day to day basis, and the machines are usually broken. The interior is dingy at best, even for a laundry-mat. I've put up with the unsatisfactory conditions for so long because of how close it is to my home. Usually when the machines break down or quarters get stuck the staff will reluctantly give you a refund. However, today one of my quarters had gotten stuck in the dryer. After the owner started the dryer, both the owner and attendee insisted that I refund the owner for the additional quarter he had to insert to push my quarter through. I understand that they both suspected that I had not inserted the correct change, and I attempted to explain to them multiple times what had happened. The amount of the quarter itself is negligible. It's the attitude the owner and attendee have towards their customer that is unacceptable. Especially as they continued to gripe amongst themselves about the ordeal with me in earshot. As Someone who has managed businesses and worked in customer service for years. I would never have caused such an ill experience for a customer over a measly quarter. I don't understand how and why business owners in this town think that they can get away with treating their customers like garbage. This is far from the first time I've experienced terrible customer service in Paris. I'm more than willing to drive the extra mile and a half from now on to the laundry-mat down the road.

Singer told me the only places close to me to service it were in the DFW area but my mom reminded me about Paris Sew & Vac in Reno who she always used. They are super nice and do great work fast. They had it ready the next day and it sews like a dream now. Plus they charged half the price of what the Dallas area businesses wanted to charge me. It only cost me $65 to have it serviced. Of course, had parts been needed then it would've been more but thankfully it only needed servicing. The owners grandfather started the business, taught it to his son who taught it to the grandson so there's a lot of years of experience there.
